The development of the times allows the number of human population to increase, so that human needs also increase which causes an increase in the desire to meet the needs of life, one of which is the need for a place to live or a house. The emergence of sharia home ownership credit products has provided an alternative to purchasing housing that is free from usury (interest). BSI KCP Medan Juanda uses a murabhah bil al-wakalah contract. In this study the authors used a qualitative approach and type of research (field research), data collection techniques by way of interviews with the BSI KCP Medan Juanda. Furthermore, it is then analyzed using a descriptive method that emphasizes observation first, then draws conclusions based on these observations. The results of the study concluded that the reason for using murabahah bil al-wakalah financing in housing loans (KPR) at BSI KCP Medan Juanda is that the financing makes it easier for customers and banks. Because customers tend to want to buy the goods they need themselves rather than represent them to the bank. In addition, the impossibility of the bank to provide all the goods needed by customers.
