Among them are many who question the usefulness of things related to history or, more precisely study the history both for individuals and for society. So the sense of history is a story of the past who have been vetted and have relevance to the present. To improve learning outcomes History students, the school and the teachers at SMAN 8 Padangsidimpuan already made several attempts including by improving the way teachers teach, give motivation to students, equipping school facilities and infrastructure, and others. One effort that can be used to improve student learning outcomes History is with the implementation of the media. Interested in the problems described above, the authors tried to examine the extent to which, "The Effect of Media on the Result of Learning History Class X SMAN 8 Padangsidimpuan the school year of 2015/2016." Based on the results of the study authors, as described in the discussion of the research, it can be concluded as follows:1. Learning Outcomes History in Class X SMAN 8 Padangsidimpuan before use Media in the category "Enough" with the average values obtained 64.12.2. History of Learning Outcomes in Class X SMAN 8 Padangsidimpuan after use of the Media in the category "Good" with the average values obtained 75.50.3. Based on the calculations have been done obtained t = 2.77 and table = 1.67 can be concluded that thitung greater than ttable (2.77> 1.67).
