Abstract

Toilet training yang tidak diajarkan sejak dini akan membuat orang tua semakin sulit untuk mengajarkan kemandirian dalam BAB dan BAK pada anak ketika anak usia 6-8 tahun. Dampaknya anak akan susah mengubah pola yang telah menjadi perilaku anak dan anak tidak dapat mandiri dalam melakukan BAB dan BAK. Faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan toilet training adalah pendidikan, pekerjaan, pola asuh orang tua, pengetahuan, dan lingkungan. Orang tua harus memberikan stimulasi dan kesiapan secara fisik dan psikologis maupun secara intelektual agar anak mampu mengontrol BAB dan BAK secara mandiri. Tujuan Penelitian: mengetahui hubungan pola asuh dan pengetahuan ibu dengan keberhasilan toilet training pada anak di PAUD KB Adil Ibara Aceh Jaya. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian analitik dengan desain cross sectional, total sampel 35 orang tua anak yang bersekolah di PAUD Adil Ibara. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah total sampling. Penelitian dilakukan akan dimulai tanggal 17 – 29 Oktober 2022. Pengumpulan data menyebarkan kuesioner melalui google formulir. Menggunakan uji chi-square dan analisa secara univariat dan bivariat. Hasil Penelitian : terdapat ada hubungan P value 0,002 pola asuh orang tua, dan ada hubungan P value 0,005 pengetahuan ibu dengan keberhasilan toilet training anak PAUD Adil Ibara. Kesimpulan: terdapat hubungan pola asuh dan pengetahuan ibu dengan keberhasilan toilet training anak PAUD Adil Ibara. Saran: Bagi ibu diharapkan dapat menambah pengetahuan tentang toilet training agar anak bisa mandiri dalam hal melakukan buang air kecil dan buang air besar tanpa menggunakan diapers. Hal ini juga untuk menjaga kebersihan diri dari anak.Kata Kunci: pola asuh, pengetahuan, dan keberhasilan toilet trainingToilet training that is not taught from an early age will make it increasingly difficult for parents to teach independence in defecation and defecation to children when children are 6-8 years old. Parents must provide stimulation and readiness physically and psychologically as well as intellectually so that children are able to control bowel and bladder independently. Research objective: to determine the relationship between parenting style and mother's knowledge with the success of toilet training in children at PAUD KB Adil Ibara Aceh Jaya. Research Methods: An analytic study with a cross sectional design, a total sample of 35 parents of children who attend PAUD Adil Ibara. The sampling technique is total sampling. The research was conducted from 17 – 29 October2022. Data collection distributed questionnaires through google forms. Using chi-square test and univariate and bivariate analysis. Research results: there is a relationship between P value of 0.002 parenting style, and no relationship P value of 0.005 mother's knowledge with the success of toilet training for PAUD Adil Ibara children. Conclusion: there is a relationship between parenting patterns and mother's knowledge with the success of toilet training for Adil Ibara PAUD children. Suggestion: Mothers are expected to increase their knowledge about toilet training so that children can be independent in terms of urinating and defecating without using diapers. This is also to maintain personal hygiene from children.Keywords: parenting, knowledge, and success of toilet training
