<![CDATA[Stunting suatu gangguan pertumbuhan yang terjadi pada anak diawal kehidupannya, gangguan ini menyebabkan kerusakan yang bersifat permanen. Dampak yang diakibatkan dari stunting tidak hanya gangguan fisik, tetapi juga mempengaruhi pola pertumbuhan pada otak. Untuk mengetahui hubungan pemberian ASI Eksklusif dengan kejadian stunting pada balita 1-5 tahun di Wilayah Kerja UPTD Puskesmas Ulee Kareng Kecamatan Ulee Kareng Kota Banda Aceh Tahun 2021. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Survei Analitik dengan pendekatan Cross Sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua ibu yang mempunyai balita 1-5 tahun di Wilayah Kerja UPTD Puskesmas Ulee Kareng Kecamatan Ulee Kareng Kota Banda Aceh, berdasarkan jumlah balita yaitu 2.491 dari bulan Januari 2020 s/d Februari 2021. Pengambilan sampel dengan cara acak sederhana. Untuk keterwakilan dari masing-masing gampong, maka jumlah sampel dari masing-masing gampong yang diambil yaitu 96 orang. Dengan waktu penelitian akan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 07 s/d 20 September 2021, yang akan dibantu nominator yaitu bidan desa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan mayoritas kejadian stunting pada balita 1-5 tahun yaitu balita memiliki tinggi badan normal sebanyak 74.0% responden dan mayoritas responden memberikan ASI eksklusif sebanyak 71.9% responden. Hasil uji chi square didapatkan bahwa ada hubungan pemberian ASI Eksklusif dengan kejadian stunting pada balita 1-5 tahun di Wilayah Kerja UPTD Puskesmas Ulee Kareng Kecamatan Ulee Kareng Kota Banda Aceh Tahun 2021 (ρ-value 0.000 < α = 0.05). Terdapat hubungan pemberian ASI Eksklusif dengan kejadian stunting pada balita 1-5 tahun di Wilayah Kerja UPTD Puskesmas Ulee Kareng Kecamatan Ulee Kareng Kota Banda Aceh Tahun 2021. Saran: Diharapkan kepada tenaga kesehatan untuk lebih memberikan edukasi kepada para ibu untuk mengenai pentingnya ASI eksklusif, makanan dan minuman yang tidak boleh diberikan sebelum usia 6 bulan, dan pencegahan serta bahaya stunting.Kata Kunci : ASI Eksklusif, Stunting, BalitaStunting is a growth disorder that occurs in children early in life, this disorder causes permanent damage.
