<![CDATA[Cervical cancer has second ranks in the high incidence in Indonesia because delay in early detection even though prevention efforts can be done by do a pap smear examination. Denpasar area has low percentage of early detection of cervical cancer in women of childbearing age which is 2.5%. The research was conducted to determine the motivation of women of childbearing age to do a pap smear examination at Klinik SMC Denpasar. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research design and an approach to the object of this research with a cross sectional approach. This research was conducted in SMC clinic in Denpasar City. Collecting data using a questionnaire with a random-sampling technique of 40 respondents. The results showed that age range of 20-35 years had moderate motivation of 58% and strong motivation of 42%, age range of 36-45 years of moderate motivation of 71% and strong motivation of 29%. The education level majority with the latest bachelor's degree is 43%. Most of the respondents of Private Employees as much as 45%. It concluded that women of childbearing age who came to Klinik SMC Denpasar had moderate motivation. Hope that health workers can maintain and improve health services in terms of health promotion efforts, especially women of childbearing age to do early detection of cervical cancer.]]>
