<![CDATA[Oil palm residues resulting from the demolition of the first planting cycle as a source of raw material for biochar are available in large quantities on oil palm plantations that will be replanted. The ignorance of the farmers who were gathered by the Prosperous Farmers Group of Cinta Damai Village, Renah Mandaluh District, West Tanjung Jabung Regency in managing and utilizing oil palm waste caused this material to be wasted in the field. Biochar is an ameliorant that can improve soil fertility from land used for oil palm cultivation, especially during the second planting cycle. The aim of this community service program is to empower Makmur Farmers Groups in managing in situ organic carbon sources into biochar to improve and improve the quality of soil fertility on agricultural land in a sustainable manner. The service program is carried out through counseling methods, technical guidance on making biochar, and guidance on applying biochar on the second cycle of planting land or replanting oil palm plants. The results achieved from the community service program are that farmers admit that they have gained new knowledge about biochar and the use of oil palm plant residues resulting from the dismantling of the first planting cycle as raw material for biochar and its utilization to increase soil fertility in oil palm plantations. Farmers know the technology and can make biochar with the technology that has been introduced.]]>
