The purpose of this study was to determine the success of the Problem Bassed Learning (PBL) learning model as an effort to improve student learning outcomes in Natural Science (IPA) subjects. The research design used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with descriptive qualitative research type. The subjects of this study were grade V students totaling 10 people. The instrument used in the data collection process is a test consisting of a pre-test and post-test. Based on the test results obtained from the learning process using the PBL model in science subjects, the value of students from the beginning before applying the PBL model shows only 30% of students who are complete in the initial test. However, after the learning was carried out by applying the PBL model, the result was an increase in student learning outcomes to 80% of students who successfully completed the learning. From the data obtained, it shows that the PBL learning model has succeeded in improving the learning outcomes of students in science subjects in grade V elementary school.
