Problem solving is a high-level thinking ability born from the results of analyzing one's information in finding a solution to a problem. The ability to solve problems is one of the determining factors for the progress of the nation, especially as a measure of the quality of human resources to be able to compete in the world of work in the industrial era 4.0. The purpose of this study is to provide a description of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities from their learning motivation. The research subjects took a sample of fifth grade students at SD Negeri Panancangan 5 totaling 37 people using a purposive sampling technique. The results of this study, namely 1) students' problem solving abilities in terms of low learning motivation are in the low category, 2) students' problem solving abilities in terms of moderate learning motivation are in the medium category, and 3) students' problem solving abilities in terms of high learning motivation are in the high category.Keywords: analysis, problem solving skills, motivation to learn mathematics
