Abstract

The urgency in this study stems from the fact that gamification has the potential to increase the use of language in active communicative interactions in the classroom, one of which is Kahoot! integrating game-based platforms. The purpose of this study is to determine how the use gamification SOLO taxonomy level relational on the Kahoot! application affects active involvement and discipline in English language learning and student learning outcomes. This descriptive research method is analyzed through observation, interviews, and tests. The group consisted of 35 students of the nursing study program. Based on descriptive analysis, it was found that gamification in SOLO taxonomy affects students' active participation and discipline, but their learning outcomes go up and down. Students believe they feel enthusiastic about using the Kahoot! Application in English learning but they are frequently constrained by signals when working on problems. Thus, integrating technology is an approach that is pushed deeper to improve better English skills. A good internet connection is one of the factors supporting success in learning using Kahoot!
