Pengaruh Penggunan Metode Chain Writting Terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Teks Pidato Siswa Siswi Kelas IX di Sekolah UPT SMP Negeri 37 Medan

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan menulis teks pidato siswa kelas IX sebelum menggunakan metode chain writting di UPT SMP Negeri 37 Medan. Untuk mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan menulis teks pidato siswa kelas IX sesudah menggunakan metode chain writting di UPT SMP Negeri 37 Medan. Untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh penggunaan metode chain writting terhadap kemampuan menulis teks pidato siswa kelas IX di sekolah UPT SMP Negeri 37 Medan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX UPT SMP Negeri 37 Medan tahuun pembelajaran 2023/202 berjumlah 233 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cluster sampling sederhana, sampel dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok kelas eksperimen sebanyak 32 siswa dan kelompok kelas kontrol sebanyak 32 siswa. Sehingga diperoleh jumlah sampel sebanyak 64 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen posstest-only design untuk memperoleh data digunakan penugasan menulis teks pidato dari analisis yang diperoleh kemampuan siswa menulis teks pidato di kelas IX UPT SMP Negeri 37 Medan menggunakan metode chain writting diperoleh skor terendah 20 dan skor tertinggi 84 dengan rata-rata 52,26 pada kelas kontrol dan pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh skor terendah 20 dan skor tertinggi 92 dengan rata-rata 72,55, berdasarkan hasil perhitungan yang dilakukan diperoleh thitung = 5,4867 dan ttabel= 2,0198, dengan taraf signifikan 5% = 2.0198 menuju thitung > ttabel atau 5,4867 >2,0198 maka hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode chain writting terhadap kemampuan menulis teks pidato siswa kelas IX UPT SMP Negeri 37 Medan Kata Kunci: Metode Chain Writting, Kemampuan Menulis, Teks Pidato. Abstract The aim of this research is to find out how class IX students' speech writing abilities are before using the chain writting method at UPT SMP Negeri 37 Medan. To find out how the ability to write speech texts for class IX students is after using the chain writting method at UPT SMP Negeri 37 Medan. To find out how the use of the chain writting method affects the ability to write speech texts for class IX students at the UPT SMP Negeri 37 Medan school. The population in this study was all students in class IX UPT SMP Negeri 37 Medan for the 2023/202 academic year, totaling 233 students. The sampling technique was carried out using simple cluster sampling, the sample was divided into two groups, namely the experimental class group of 32 students and the control class group of 32 students. So the sample size was 64 students. This research used a posttest-only experimental design to obtain data using the assignment of writing speech texts from the analysis obtained by students' ability to write speech texts in class IX UPT SMP Negeri 37 Medan using the chain writting method, the lowest score was 20 and the highest score was 84 with an average 52.26 in the control class and in the experimental class the lowest score was 20 and the highest score was 92 with an average of 72.55, based on the results of the calculations obtained tcount = 5.4867 and ttable = 2.0198, with a significance level of 5% = 2.0198 towards tcount > ttable or 5.4867 >2.0198 then the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the use of the chain writting method affects the ability to write speech texts in class IX UPT SMP Negeri 37 Medan Keywords: Chain Writting Method, Writing Ability, Speech Text.
