Sengon wood is an industrial wood commodity. Sengon wood has the characteristics of low specific gravity, density and dimensional stability and has high hygroscopic properties. This is because harvesting is done on wood that is still young. This research was carried out to improve the quality of sengon wood, namely by modifying the wood in the form of used oil impregnation. Impregnation aims to increase wood durability, physical and mechanical properties of wood by placing sengon wood and used oil solution in a vacuum press tube. In the retention and water gain tests, the best test results were for SD samples with values of 15.97 kg/m3 and 7.44%. The penetration test showed that used oil penetrated thoroughly in all sample tests. Absorption values in SK 236.58%, SA 160.12%, SB 137.3%, SC 160.13%, SD 149.75%, SE 129.07%, and 142.21%. The Anti-Swelling Efficiency value of immersion in SA is 3.66%, SB 0.66%, SC -0.08%, SD -0.78%, SE -2.32%, and SF -0.61%. And in the Swelling test, all sample tests had smaller swelling than SK.
