The purpose of this writing is to get an overview of the development of the early childhood education independent curriculum and its innovations at PIAUD-RA Nurul Islam. The education system in Indonesia has undergone eleven curriculum changes since 1847. Along with the developments and challenges of the times, the curriculum continues to undergo systematic and directed changes and development. Implementation of the curriculum should be able to realize the vision, mission and goals of national education in stages. Educators often experience polemics as a result of this when the curriculum is changed. However, not all early childhood Islamic education institutions have implemented an independent curriculum considering the need for knowledge and preparation and implementation of an independent curriculum. Therefore the researcher wants to explain the theories and regulations that exist in the independent curriculum. Because the new curriculum is designed so that educators have direction in developing a good learning process so that the educational goals that are developed can run well and optimally.
