Abstract

This research aims to describe natural material media, understand the one-to-one correspondence process, and comprehend the outcomes of one-to-one correspondence activities using natural materials to enhance numeracy skills at Anak Pelangi Jimbaran Early Childhood Education Center. The theme utilized in this research is "Mother Earth," with the sub-theme being living beings and inanimate objects. This study belongs to the class action research category, employing the Kemmis and Mc.Taggart model consisting of four phases: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques involve observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques utilize a combined qualitative and quantitative method. Qualitative data analysis is employed to describe the use of natural materials for numeracy and elucidate one-to-one correspondence activities in counting objects. Meanwhile, quantitative data analysis is utilized to analyze pre-cycle, cycle 1, and cycle 2 assessment results to ascertain the percentage increase in children's numeracy skills. The sample for this study comprises 13 children from the Anak Pelangi Jimbaran Early Childhood Education Center, consisting of 7 boys and 6 girls. The research findings demonstrate that one-to-one correspondence activities using natural materials can enhance the numeracy abilities of Anak Pelangi Jimbaran Early Childhood Education Center children in counting objects from 1 to 10, as evidenced by an achievement percentage of 84.6%.
