PERAN KEPOLISIAN DALAM PENYIDIKAN PENYALAHGUNAAN NARKOTIKA GOLONGAN 1 SABU DI WILAYAH HUKUM POLDA SULAWESI SELATAN

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas peran kepolisian dalam penyidikan penyalahgunaan narkotika golongan 1 sabu dan faktor penghambat penyidikan di Wilayah Hukum Polda Sulsel. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian hukum normatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektifitas penyidikan tindak pidana narkotika golongan 1 sabu di wilayah Hukum Polda Sulawesi Selatan yaitu dengan menerima laporan, melakukan tindakan pertama, penangkapan, penggeledahan, penyitaan, pemeriksaan tersangka dan saksi, penahanan, serta pelimpahan berkas perkara kepada kejaksaan. Faktor penghambat pelaksanaan penyidikan tindak pidana narkotika golongan I sabu di wilayah Hukum Polda Sulawesi Selatan dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan eksternal. Faktor internal meliputi SDM, sarana dan prasarana, serta anggaran. Sedangkan faktor eksternalnya meliputi kesadaran hukum masyarakat budaya hukum serta adanya tekanan terhadap penyidik. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the police's role in investigating the abuse of class 1 methamphetamine narcotics and factors inhibiting investigations in the South Sulawesi Regional Police jurisdiction. The research method used is normative legal research. The results of the study indicate that the effectiveness of investigating class 1 methamphetamine narcotics crimes in the South Sulawesi Regional Police jurisdiction is by receiving reports, taking first action, arresting, searching, confiscating, examining suspects and witnesses, detaining, and transferring case files to the prosecutor's office. Factors inhibiting the implementation of investigations of class I methamphetamine narcotics crimes in the South Sulawesi Regional Police jurisdiction are influenced by internal and external factors. Internal factors include human resources, facilities, infrastructure, and budget. While external factors include public legal awareness, legal culture, and pressure on investigators.
