PERSEPSI SISWA TERHADAP GURU GEOGRAFI DALAM MENGAJAR KELAS XI IPS DI SMA NEGERI SE-KOTA SALATIGA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi siswa terhadap guru geografi dalam mengajar, dan hubungan persepsi siswa terhadap guru geografi dalam mengajar dengan hasil belajar siswa. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPS di SMA Negeri se-Kota Salatiga. Penentuan sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi angket, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif persentase dan analisis korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan (1)Persepsi siswa terhadap guru geografi dalam mengajar dalam kriteria baik dengan persentase persepsi siswa mengenai variasi gaya mengajar 72,60%, persepsi siswa terhadap variasi media dan bahan ajaran 71,00%, dan persepsi siswa mengenai variasi interaksi 75,02%; (2)Analisis hubungan antara persepsi siswa terhadap guru geografi dalam mengajar dengan hasil belajar siswa menunjukan =0,672 lebih besar dari harga kritik  dengan taraf signifikansi α=5% sebesar 0,195, yang berarti ada hubungan antara persepsi siswa terhadap guru geografi dalam mengajar dengan hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan tabel nilai indeks koefisien korelasi  penelitian ini termasuk kategori korelasi kuat. This study aims to describe students perceptions of geography teachers in teaching, and correlation the students perception of geography teachers in teaching with student learning outcomes. The study population was a student of class XI IPS state high school in Salatiga city. The samples by purposive sampling technique. Data collection methods include questionnaires, documentation, and interviews. Analysis using descriptive percentage and correlation analysis. The results showed (1) Students perceptions of the teacher in teaching geography in good criteria with the percentage of students perceptions about 72.60% variation in teaching style, student perceptions of a variety of media and materials teachings of 71.00%, and the students perceptions about variety of interaction at 75.02%, (2) Analysis of the correlation between students perceptions of geography teachers in teaching with student learning outcomes showed rxy = 0.672 is greater than the price of criticism rtabel with significance level α = 5 % is 0.195, which means that there is a correlation between students perceptions of geography teachers in teaching with student learning outcomes. Based on the correlation coefficient table index value rhitung, this study are included in the category of strong correlation.
