Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesiapan mahasiswa calon guru program studi Pendidikan Geografi dalam menghadapai praktik pengalaman lapangan tahun 2015. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 35 mahasiswa Pendidikan Geografi. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket, tes, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian kompetensi pedagogik dengan skor rata-rata 6,42 kategori kurang siap. Kompetensi kepribadian dengan skor rata-rata 32,28 kategori siap. Kompetensi profesional dengan skor rata-rata 6,68 kategori siap. Kompetensi sosial dengan skor rata-rata 21,82 kategori siap. Hasil gabungan 4 kompetensi mahasiswa menunjukkan Kesiapan mahasiswa pendidikan geografi dalam menghadapi praktik pengalaman lapanagan sebesar 61,82% dengan kategori siap. Dapat disimpulkan mahasiswa Pendidikan Geografi siap melaksanakan praktik pengalaman lapangan tahun 2015. Mahasiswa diharapkan untuk meningkatakan seluruh kemampuan menjadi lebih baik lagi terutama kompetensi pedagogik.Penguasan pemahaman terhadap peserta didik, metode pembelajaran serta teknik penilian perlu ditingkatkan. Banyak latihan mengajar agar tidak merasa takut dan belajar pengelolaan kelas. Penguasaan materi harus ditingkatkan. Mahasiswa diharpakan bisa bersosialisasi dan berkomunikasi dengan baik. This study aimed to describe the readiness of student teachers Geography Education courses in the face of practical field experience in 2015. The research sample as many as 35 students of Geography Education. Sampling was done by random sampling. Data was collected by questionnaire, testing, and documentation. The data analysis using descriptive percentages. Pedagogic research results with an average score of 6.42 category less ready. Competence personality with an average score of 32.28 ready category. Professional competence with an average score of 6.68 is ready category. Social competence with an average score of 21.82 ready category. The combined results of four competencies students showed readiness geography education students in the face of practical field experience amounted to 61.82% with the category ready. It can be concluded Geography Education students are ready to implement practical field experience in 2015. Students are expected to increase the overall ability to be better again primarily pedagogical competence. Mastery understanding of learners, learning methods and techniques of judging need to be improved. Many exercises taught to not be afraid and learn classroom management. Mastery of the material should be improved. Student was expected to be able to socialize and communicate well.
