Tongkonan, as a house and identity marker, also serves as the center of all activities inTorajans‟ life. Tongkonan can not run its roles and functions without a consecration ceremony,namely Mangrara Banua. Mangrara Banua is a ritual for newly completed or renovatedTongkonan.
