<![CDATA[Abstrak:Pengawas selalu meningkatkan kompetensinya baik melalui otodidak atau melanjutkan studi S-2 atau S-3 supaya lebih profesional dalam menjalankan tugasnya sebagai pengawas pendidikan yaitu from control to help teacheror school’s headmaster. Pengawas dalam hal supervisi terhadap guru harus memahami prototipe guru sehingga bisa melaksanakan supervisi dengan pendekatan direktif, non direktif dan kolaboratif. Pengawas harus mempunyai kepribadian yang kokoh dalam melaksanakan tugasnya supaya guru dan kepala sekolah menaruh hormat kepadanya.
