Abstract

This study aims to build a shortest path simulation program on the complete graph K_20. The data of distance in this simulation was determined randomly with the provision of a value of 0-100. The simulation conducted was an algorithm calculation used parameter values with different initial pheromone conditions. The parameters in the Ant Colony Optimization Algorithm are set with alpha = 1, beta = 2, the initial pheromone condition = 0,0001 for the first simulation; alpha = 1, beta = 2, initial pheromone = 1 for the second simulation; and alpha value = 1, beta = 5, initial pheromone condition = 0,00000001 for the third simulation. The simulation results showed that if the value of the initial pheromone condition used gets greater, the value of the temporary output gets greater. Even though the initial pheromone condition was different, the shortest path obtained with distance data used in this study is the same, namely 15-14-1-3-20-12-16-6-18-10-9-13-11-7-8-4-2-17-5-19 with length 613 (in kilometers). Abstract

The Heun method is an improvement from the Euler method so that it has better accuracy, because in the Heun method, the solution of the Euler method is used as a predictor solution and then the initial estimation solution is corrected by the Heun method (corrector). In this study the method of Heun was used to complete the epidemic model of Susceptible, Exposed, Infected and Recovered (SEIR) of dengue fever while at the same time observing the stability and consistency of the Heun method. The observations of the Heun method are seen geometrically. From the results of the study it was found that the heun method was a stable and consistent method for finding solutions for almost the SEIR epidemic model. While from the data and completion of the approach obtained, the area of Medan Helvetia Subdistrict and Medan Sunggal District is an area that is endemic to dengue hemorrhagic fever. Abstract

Human recombinant prethrombin-2 (rhPT-2) was expressed in Escherichia coli. Previous studies reported that the expression of rhPT-2 in E. coli tends to formed inclusion body. This study aims to determine the effect of temperature on the expression of rhPT-2 in E. coli ER2566. This study begins with the isolation of recombinant plasmids, competent cell preparation and transformation of competent cells of E. coli ER2566 strain, and rhPT-2 gene expression with various induction temperatures 12, 18, 22 and 30°C. Characterization results showed that the induction temperature of 22°C was the optimum temperature of rhPT-2 gene expression as a soluble fraction in E. coli ER2566 with IPTG concentration 0.1 mM. These results prove that the temperature affects the expression of rhPT-2 in E. coli ER2566. [EFFECT OF TEMPERATURE ON RECOMBINANT HUMAN PRETROMBIN-2 EXPRESSION IN ESCHERICHIA COLI ER2566] (J. Abstract

The assumption of normality cannot be fulfilled in regression analysis if there are outliers in observation data so that peduga parameters using LSM (Least Square Method) will produce biased estimators and not BLUE (Best Linear Unbiased Estimator). Based on this, the bootstrap method which is a repeat sampling method (resampling) that does not require distribution assumptions on the data can be used. In this study, paired bootstrap data method is used for simulation data with the number of outliers of 5%, 10% and 15%. This is to show how the influence of outliers on the distribution of data if the outliers given have different amounts. After estimating the parameters using paired bootstrap data, parameter estimator values and the resulting bias are not much different from the MKT parameter estimator values before being given an outlier. In this study at a 99% confidence interval for the case of simulation data with 10% and 15% of the parameter estimator outliers obtained in the previous study and in this study no longer produce BLUE estimators as in the simulation data with 5% outliers. Abstract

This study aims to optimize the teller service queue system in a unit of Bank Rakyat Indonesia. By queuing theory, the queuing characteristic will be used as a calculated ratio. The observation results show that the queuing model that applied in the bank was (P/E_n/2) :(FCFS/8/8). To optimize the queue system it is necessary to change the model to (P/E_n/3) :(FCFS/8/8). Based on the calculation of waiting costs and facility costs, the optimal average service level is 31 customers/hour. So the addition of 1 teller facility would maximize the teller service and reduce 4,134 minutes of customer waiting time.
