Abstract

The national economic changes have effect the life of urban communities. The difficulties of meeting the needs of daily living  drive a person tofind a way to increase their income. Mobile tailor is a service to make and to repair the clothes, known also as "tukang permak Levis". Mobile tailors can be seen in Jakarta and suburban and approaching the customers in residence area. The means of mobile tailor is a modification of bicycle that has simple designed by the user. This research focus on theform and design varieties of mobile tailors in Bintaro Jaya Sektor 1 and 2 residence area, South Jakarta. The method is qualitative method with design approach. The interviewees of this research are tailors who have variousform and design of mobile tailors in the research area. The data collecting method is observation and interview with the interviewees. The result of this research is the description of mobile tailor'sform and design that has changing as the changing of the needs and condition of the user, and user convortability in doing the activities.Keywords: form, design, mobile, tailors, means

Abstract

In daily life at least there is one product that we use to support our activities, ranging from clothing, cutlery, transportation, toiletries, games, and so forth. So also children who have limitations or special needs. In everyday life they also need a game that is able to stimulate their brain and motor. Design as a science that can meet the needs of these children has a very important role in this regard. Abstract

Fixed gear bike is a derivative of bike racing because its shape resembles a racing bike used in racing but the cost to make it is affordable to many circles. Ergonomics is the science that can be associated with the use of a bicycle as a tool that is directly related to humans. By using qualitative research method, science of ergonomics can be associated with fixed gear bikes. This research is conducted by observing fixed gear bike communal events, interviews to the bicycle designers and users of fixed gear bikes as well as literature describing ergonomics of fixed gear bikes. Fixed gear bikes are used for transportation by humans. They are used for long distance trips on the streets by the community in accordance with the form and the components of the fixed gear bikes; without of brake components, biking could endanger the user when driving it. Ergonomics is needed for fixed gear bikes because these bikes have a personal dimensions in accordance with they users. It is because fixed gear bikes are based on user needs.Keywords: bikes, fixed gear, ergonomics

Abstract

Design is a plan arising from a requirement, through planning, creative ideas and ideas are treated with a combination of art, science and technology, it is expected to be born as a good design. Processing good design will produce an innovation of design that can bring a positive image to the community/market. In the era of global competition, creative behavior is not enough just to use the intelligence of the mind, but also other intelligence that it takes powerful intelligence levitation. Both will be intertwined in the search for new forms that can create trends in the world. Abstract

Jepara is one of the cities ini Central Java which is famous for its carving furniture. People in this area known to have talent in the field of carving. Motifs and ornaments applied to Jepara carving furniture are influenced by various patterns and motifs from various regions from outside Jepara both regional and foreign countries that adapt to local culture. The development of Jepara carving furniture has always been related to human behavior and paradigms in order to create the value of culture itself. Abstract

Nokia mobile phone is one of the famous mobile phone brands carrying the slogan 'Connecting People' with the intention of presenting a mobile phone that can be used by everyone. Nokia is targeting a large market share, where every mobile phone made can be obtained by many people and with a design that is not inferior to other brands. One of the famous mobile phones ever produced by Nokia is the Nokia 3310 series which in its time Nokia 3310 phone is very in demanded because of its good design and resiliency. Then in 2017 comes the new Nokia 3310 series featuring a more modern design with a more developed specification than the previous Nokia 3310 series with the intention to hook the Nokia consumers who miss the Nokia 3310 but still feel the phone is not outdated. Abstract

Along with the development of jewelry in Indonesia, several techniques of making are used. in the design of industrial products, jewelry by casting tehcniques is one of the techniques of making jewelry of bulk; using several models of jewelry will obtain many products of casting at the same time. This casting technique is very supportive in the process of production, working efficiently and also cost efficient. Abstract

In the design world, all elements can influence the product to be better or vice versa. One element in the world of design is color. The use of color can be an ideal weapon but vice versa. This articlediscusses the correlation between the use of hot color with the branding effort of a product. It is discussed on how a color scheme is able to give a certain impression and character to a product. This study aims to investigate the right color as a branding effort of a product. This research is done by collecting data in literature. The research findings show that the color is able to give the impression in accordance with the psychology of color and able to give character to the product.Keywords: color, hot, product, branding

Abstract

The work of art has a lot of variety, concepts, themes, until the destination in the making art. The sameness in every work of art that each work must have had the mark or the symbolism that will be showed through the work. This paper contains the elaboration of a work textile craft "Dryness" based on material, technique and visual aspects ofform in order to preserving the environmental awareness. "Dryness" is the work of art that use residue material which isnot commonly used in a work of textile craft, it is to influencing the behavior of people generaly. Creating the works using patchwork and embroidery as a whole is intended to describe the environmental conditions of drought. This works not only have meaning to raise awareness of natural conditions in the environment, but also condering people about how it impacts the environment and how it impacts to everyone who witnessed it. The expectation from this article is inspire the creation of art to have insight environmental awareness not only in terms of a visual aspect but also from the material aspect.Keywords: Visualization, Environmental Awareness, Patchwork.
