Abstract

The aim of this research is to comprehensively  describing readability of Bahasa Indoesia’s students text book. The books is “Buku Siswa Bahasa Indonesia Kelas VII” revision edition 2014,  published by Ministry of Education and Culture. Research was conducted with descriptive quantitative design. All of text in the text book (38 article) was taken as sample, and analysed using Fry Graph formula.  The result of analysis shown, more than a half of all text (52%) is suitable for seventh grade student. While, 18 text  (48%) is not suitable one.

Abstract

Kegiatan berbicara dalam situasi resmi melibatkan audien dengan berbagai latar belakang pendidikan. Kegiatan berbicara ini merupakan proses berbahasa lisan dalam mengekspresikan pikiran dan perasaan, menyampaikan berbagai informasi tentang sesuatu, dan merefleksikan pengalaman pembicara. Tujuan kajian ini untuk mendeskripsikan beberapa aspek terkait persiapan kemahiran berbicara dalam forum formal/resmi. Untuk itu, seorang pembicara dalam forum ini perlu mempersiapkan diri yang baik khususnya berbagai kecakapan yang perlu dimiliki seperti melakukan observasi situasi, kondisi, dan toleransi sebelum kegiatan dilakukan. Secara umum, persiapan kemahiran berbicara mencakup persiapan aspek bahasa dan nonbahasa. Secara khusus, hal penting yang perlu dipersiapkan bagi seorang pembicara yang akan melakukan kegiatan berbicara formal, mencakup (1) persiapan pengetahuan atau pengalaman tentang materi yang akan disampaikan dan telah dimiliki pembicara, (2) persiapan sistematika atau organisasi urutan berbicara, (3) persiapan penguasaan unsur kebahasaan, dan (4) persiapan penyajian atau unsur nonkebahasaan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine the values of character education in the film of Upin and Ipin production Les' Copaque in 2010. This research uses descriptive method. The data in this research is the dialogue in the film of Upin and Ipin production in 2010 that contains the value of character education. Based on the analysis found values contained in the film of Upin and Ipin production Les' Copaque in 2010 is religious, honest, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, curiosity, appreciate the achievements, friendly, social care / care about others, responsibility, brave, cooperation, mutual help, wisdom, respect for all life forms and environment that care of each other, respect for others / public politeness, and self-respect. There is value that  specially  treated is patriotism because it involves nationalism. Upin and Ipin Film production of Les Copaque in 2010 containing values of character education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study to get an explanation on the description of the Analysis of character education  Daun yang Jatuh Tak Pernah Membenci Angin Novel By Tere Liye. This research uses descriptive analysis method. descriptive analysis method used in this study  means to obtain an accurate picture of the values of character education in novel Daun yang Jatuh Tak Pernah Membenci Angin Novel By Tere Liye. Technique Data collection was done by using the documentation that specifically examined the values of character education in novel Daun yang Jatuh Tak Pernah Membenci Angin Novel By Tere Liye. Based on the analysis of educational values contained in this  novel  there are as follows (1) relegius educational value such as prayer , grave pilgrimage , grateful  (2) hard work as diligently and passionately in the work, (3) such as smart creative thinking and create the new things, (4) appreciate achievements such as awards to and achievement, (5) independent as not to depend on others, (6) curiosity such as asking questions, (7) friends / communicative as happy hanging out with other people, (8) social care such as giving comfort to those in need , and  (9) responsibilities such as completing tasks without being asked or told.

Abstract

This study was to describe the structure of rhetoric and linguistic characteristics of a part of results and discussion of articles in Indonesian language research journals in the field of literary studies. This research uses descriptive method. Data and sources of data in this study are the following documents speech writer in the text, while the data source in the form of 30 research journal articles in the field of research literature. Rhetorical structure analysis using the theory Swales which consists of 8 stages. Sedangkan ciri linguistik menggunakan teori (Wilujeng 2007, Ba?dulu 2004 dan Alwi, dkk., 2003) consisting of, among others; active voice, passive sentences and conjunctions. The results of the study of rhetoric structural analysis and discussion section of the results of research in the field of science research AJP literary form of the use of the stages are found or used. The results of the most common stages of research journal articles (AJP) Indonesian language literature on the science research journal “BISA” ie the first stage, (information about the study), the second stage (statement about the study results), and fifth stages (A description of the research results). While the linguistic characteristics contained in section AJP results and discussion in the field of literature the most dominant research that active use of cohesion grammatical sentence reference , conjunction and lexical cohesion markers reps in the research journal articles ( BISA ) section of the results and discussion of science research literature.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan deskripsi komprehensif Kinerja Guru Bahasa Indonesia Alumni Program Pascasarjana (S2) Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia FKIP Universitas Bengkulu pada aspek kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi profesional, kompetensi sosial, dan kompetensi kepribadian.. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru Bahasa Indonesia Alumni Program Pascasarjana (S2) Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia FKIP Universitas Bengkulu. Sampel ditetapkan secara acak sejumlah 30 orang lulusan. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa Kinerja Guru Bahasa Indonesia Alumni Program Pascasarjana (S2) Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia FKIP Universitas Bengkulu berada dalam kategori sangat baik. Pada aspek kompetensi pedagogik berada dalam skala 3,16, aspek kompetensi professional berada dalam skala 3,28, aspek kompetensi sosial berada dalam skala 3,45, dan aspek kompetensi kepribadian berada dalam skala 3,46. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disarankan agar guru Bahasa Indonesia Alumni Program Pascasarjana (S2) Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia FKIP Universitas Bengkulu dapat meningkatkan kinerjanya lebih maksimal lagi.

Abstract

The purpose of study was to determine the ability in comprehending anecdote text through discovery learning method. The subject of this research is the students grade X MIPA 2 SMAN 3 Bengkulu city academic tear 2015/2016. Kind of the research is classroom action research. The data of this research is the ability in comprehending anecdote text and students and teacher’s abservation sheet. Based on the research that discovery learning can increase ability in comprehending anecdote text for the students grade X MIPA 2 SMAN 3 Bengkulu City. The result can be seen in score action research cycle I with the average score 70,42 it is good category and in action research cycle II 80,85 it is the best category. The classical learning achievement in cycle I 48,39% and in cycle II 87,05%, it means that there is significant increase between cycle I and cycle II.

Abstract

The purpose of this study for improve the students class X1 skill of SMAN 2 Central Bengkulu Tengah in write descriptive paragraph with estafet writing method. This study design is the design of classroom action research conducted in two cycles, the first cycle and the second cycle. Collecting data on the first cycle and the second cycle using test technique and nontest. The test used is a test action in the form of assignment to write a description, whereas nontest techniques used in the form of guidelines for observation, the journal guidelines, interview guides, and photo documentation guidelines. Data analysis technique of this research is qualitative and quantitative. Quantitative techniques are used to analyze and compare test results pre-cycle, the first cycle, the second cycle, and qualitative techniques used to analyze and compare the results nontest in the first cycle and the second cycle. Based on the analysis of research data, in class X1 totaling 30 students can be concluded that by using the estafet writing method can increase the skill of writing a paragraph descriptive. In the first cycle, the value of an average of 71.65% in the second cycle, the average value of 88.73%, an increase of 17.08%. This means that there is an increase in the skill of writing a paragraph descriptive of the students with estafet writing method. This increase can be seen from the results of tests conducted students in class X SMAN 2 Central Bengkulu 2016/2017 school year that includes the end of the test cycle test cycle I and II.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to know the improvement of students’ ability in writing descriptive text by using picture series media. The subject of the research was students on class H at VII (seven) Junior High School 19 Bengkulu City, there were 23 students. The form of this research was a classroom action research. The data of this research were gathered from the descriptive writing test and analyzed by using descriptive analysis. The result showed that there are an improvement of students’ ability in writing descriptive text by using picture series media on class H at VII (seven) Junior High School 19 Bengkulu City. It can be seen from the writing result on cycle I that students’ average score 70 (enough) and increased with 76,04 (good) after repaired on cycle II, then increased again after repaired on cycle III with 86,17 (very good).

Abstract

This study aimed to describe macro rhetoric structures and linguistic markers in the result and discussion of BISA journal of language pedagogy. This study used descriptive method. The data in this research were linguistic markers in text from Research Articles (RA) entitled research journal article BISA that specifically discuss about language pedagogy. The analysis of rhetoric structure used Swales theory consisting of 8 moves. Meanwhile, linguistic markers were defined as text genre regarding to active and passive sentence and cohession markers. The analysis result of rhetoric structures from result and discussion session in research journal article BISA research articles were the movements that were used in the rhetoric structure of  research journal article BISA Journal which were move 1 with (information about the research), move 2 (statement about the result of research), move 5 (explanation about the result of the research). On the other side, for the linguistic markers found in the result and discussion section of  research journal articles BISA journal were: linguistic markers in all movements (1) active sentence and passive sentence (2) cohession markers.
