Abstract

In distributing electrical energy to customers, required a reliable power system. Disturbances in a system of electricity can not be avoided. Generally disruption of the underground channels, prone to disturbance occurs in cable connections (Jointing). Interference that occurs in SKTM in jointing that is existence of partial discharge. From the cable test results of a feeder Debur B 329 to B 162 this is a very bad cable condition. The location of the bad cable is at a distance of 59 to 91 m and 190 to 220 m, with a capacity of 0.272 μF and a frequency of 353.98 Hz. The cable testing to determine the existance on the cable channel and location of the occurance of interference so that it can be done immediately repair or replacement on the cable that has interference.

Abstract

In this research discusses about PLTS planning studies connected to grid to serve electrical power supply in STT–PLN tower. During this STT–PLN tower get electrical power supply sourced from PLN only where the capacity of power installed 1100 kVA with transformer capacity equal to 1250 kVA. The distribution of electrical power to the STT–PLN tower is obtained from Tolimo feeder which is connected directly to Duri Kosambi 192 Baru substation. So for that in this research made a planning of distribution of electrical power distribution with PLTS – Grid systems where PLTS system serve the use of electricity load from 08.00 WIB – 17.00 WIB, the rest only relies on electricity source from PLN. With PLTS – Grid system, the use of batteries can be eliminated. The electrical loads connected to the PLTS system and grid use the same energy as those supplied by the PLTS for a certain period of time. In this case, the grid becomes a storage or lender temporary for the fulfillment of electrical power demand. So with the application of this concept we only spend the investment cost of the PLTS system without batteries and the cost of leasing the network in the PLTS – Grid system.

Abstract

The Power Distribution System is basically a process for delivering electricity from a 150 kV power transmission system to a consumer, either 20 kV consumer or a 380/220 V consumer. The more complex distribution system of the network is the Low Voltage distribution system (380 / 220V), because the network of low voltage distribution system has a very wide network coverage. This often causes the Low Voltage Distribution system to be unbalanced, since household customers generally utilize single phase power. The effects of an unbalanced low voltage distribution system will affect many things, such as : the transformer's performance, excess heat in the overload phase, the current flowing in the neutral wire, the end-tension drop in the overload load network. And ultimately the quality of electricity at the consumer level decreases. With this load imbalance, the workable solution is to balance the load on the transformer. The measurements of Jurusan B after load balancing are the R-phase 106 Ampere, the S-phase 108 Ampere, and the T-phase 107 Ampere. The load unbalance value drops to 1% after a load balancing effort, this value is far below the maximum imbalance criterion of 10%.

Abstract

Measuring tool can be defined as a tool that can know the value of used in a unit based on the level of accuracy. Household electric current measuring devices are often used now still use analog systems are slightly complicated in terms of reading the value of the output, it's because the viewer uses a needle that points at a certain scale. Besides the current measuring device ac and dc electricity in the market generally, very rarely menggunkana microcontroller. Based on that the authors designed an ac and dc based arduino uno power meter is using the current sensor acs 712 30 amps. This tool takes the working principle of the amperemeter, ie the principle of magnetic force (lorentz style). It's just different from the multimeter that uses a probe as a current conductor medium, this tool uses the terminals as a medium of conductor current. This tool can be used to measure all household electronic appliances or offices either AC or DC current.

Abstract

The current transformer is one of the instrumen transformers that converts large currents into small current for measurement and protection. Router Current transformer testing is a test performed by the manufacturer of all transformed flow produced, to separate defects of deviates from standard requirements. The result of current transformer test that has been done / observed is as follows: testing of the frequency of the voltage resistance does not occur flash, partial removal test of 4.3 pC and 1.6 pC, testing of more inter-winding voltage of 22.03 V and 52.47 , Insulation resistance testing of 244 GΩ, 352 GΩ and 652 GΩ, testing of winding resistance at 29 ° C at 0.045 Ohm and at 75 ° C at 0.053 ohm. For testing the accuracy of the measurement transformer at burden 1 VA the error ratio is 0.144%, 0.143%, 0.141%, 0.133%, 0.132% and the angle error is 2.20 minutes, 2.13 minutes, 1.97 minutes, 1.34 minutes, 1.23 minutes. For testing the accuracy of the measurement transformer at 10 VA burden the error error is -0.037%, -0.032%, -0.017%, 0.043%, 0.049% and the angle error is 8.10 min, 7.03 min, 4.12 min, 0, 23 minutes, 0.07. For testing the transformer protection accuracy with burden 7.5 error ratio is 0.05% and the angle error is 3.86 minutes.

Abstract

The development of computer technology and information is very fast, especially on the provision of computer networks become very important for institutions especially Vocational High School, Institute and University. However, the impact of the development of information technology in line with the rising problems that can be arise such as : attacks on viruses, spam, spyware and others. In addresing the issue, the presence of pornographic sites and others can lower morale, especially for students, due to easy access of the internet. In this case it is also possible that the performance of lecturers and staff in using information systems and learning proses will be destroyed and can reduce the performance of the computer network. Firewall using iptables on proxy server and uses Squid Proxy with Ubuntu Linux Server that has been implemented in the Laboratory. Also can be used for various access to access computer network. With the fastest speed of internet access, then the access sites that are not useful for students and lectures will be block so the do not have access and make the security of the network more secure.

Abstract

Belawan steam power plant has been operating since 1984 with a configuration of 4 x 65 MW. The Belawan power plant is designed to operate with Marine Fuel Oil (MFO) fuel oil. By age, the Belawan power plant has exceeded its design life (the average design life of the plant is 25 to 30 years) and has decreased its power (Derating) and efficiency. So with the condition causes the Cost of Supply Power Supply is not competitive in North Sumatra System with Levelized Tariff value of 2,485.13 (Rp / kWh). From the study of the implementation of Repowering for Belawan steam power plant with configuration per unit of 1-1-2 resulted in Plant efficiency and Heat Rate better than the configuration per unit of 1-1-1. Estimated investment cost of Repowering Belawan Power Plant Configuration 2x260 MW is US $ 500,680,375.63 * Rp. 13,556, - (December middle rate 2017) = Rp. 6,787,328,578,382,54 and the value of its Levelized Tariff is 1,196.22 (Rp / kWh). Repowering with configuration per unit of 1-1-2 has GT 260.949 MW / Unit output, Total Plant Output 739.32 MW, Heat Rate 6072.19 BTU / kWh and Plant efficiency 56.15%.

Abstract

This research aims to design an automation system on Dump truck as fuel efficiency effort. The existence of control of fuel efficiency will be very helpful in reducing cost / budget expenditure on each company. Auto Economy mode is an automatic system in the mode of activation (power mode or economy mode) in accordance with the state of the unit load. When the unit is loaded heavy then the system will automatically turn on the power mode. And then, when the unit is not charged, the system will automatically activate the economy mode. Automatic operation of 2 modes would require an enhancement as a controller. In the Auto Economy mode HD785-7 used PLC as a controller.

Abstract

Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) is an effective mass- transportation mode that has been proven by many in major cities in different countries. This will be applied in Indonesia but still limited to Jakarta which will be managed by PT. Mass Rapid Transit Jakarta (MRTJ). The MRTJ is targeted to carry 173,000 people a day. The purpose of this MRTJ development is to reduce the use of private transportation and switch to public transportation so as to reduce traffic congestion. Electricity as a source of this transportation means must be guaranteed reliability. Proper configuration, reliable equipment and automated system operation will provide a good distribution system performance. With the smooth progress of electric power to consumers, the more reliable a distribution system. With the prediction of 99.5% to 99.9999% availability of electricity supply is expected to ensure the reliability of the MRTJ power supply system.
