Abstract

This paper aims to explore the paradigm of community development within Islamic community and its contribution to prevent radicalism in Indonesia, especially in Banten. Potentially, community empowerment based masque in Banten could be accordance with social culture of Banten Islamic community, which is implemented by 3 (three) approach of social welfare: social philantrophy, social administration and social work. In this paper, community empowerment oriented not only to improve Islamic values but also improving social economy of jama’ah which is participated through strengthening DKM institution, social capital community, entrepreneurship and social defense to prevent radicalism in the framework of Islamic comprehension and its impact on local community. Keywords: Community developmet paradigm, social welfare, community.

Abstract

The right to social security is one of the rights of citizens, as well as the elderly (elderly) also have the same rights as other residents. Elderly people who are left without social security, for example without health insurance are vulnerable to being a burden on society. The aim is to analyze the elderly population in Indonesia and efforts to improve their social welfare. From various sources of the elderly population and its social security policies in Indonesia. Calculated Source of Elderly Population in Indonesia Spending quite dramatically over the past 30 years. There are four diseases that are very difficult with the aging process, namely: impaired blood circulation, hormonal disorders, disorders of the joints, and various kinds of neoplasms. Efforts to improve social welfare for the elderly organized by the Government include: social protection, social assistance, social care, and empowerment. Therefore, social responsibility for the elderly is still limited because the focus is only on neglected elderly people, and the agreement has not been optimal for the approval of all elderly people's land in Indonesia. Support from the family and community is a supporting factor for the elderly to always be enthusiastic in participating in activities. With the help of increasing social welfare for the elderly. Recommendations for the Government to consistently support the improvement of welfare for the elderly, thereby supporting healthy aging and active aging.

Abstract

Poverty still occurs in the household space which causes poverty in a large community level. So it needs efforts to be able to tackle the problem of poverty in the household. One of them is by empowering poor household communities through enhancing the activities of Joint Group Enterprises (KUBE) involving social workers. With this empowerment, it is expected that social workers can carry out their functions and roles to supervise and monitor Joint Group Business actors. The method used is the literature study method with a variety of references that are still relevant. Then this paper produces the following discussion. First, what is the factor of poverty in the household, second, what is the most appropriate effort to empower poor household, and third, how the role of social workers in government programs towards Joint Group Enterprises (KUBE), where this program is one of the activities that can be utilized by poor households.

Abstract

Sexual abuse of children is still a high case, in which governments, communities and families as the first in the child's education are concerned. Cases of child sexual abuse not only occur outside the ward but also occur within the family. In solving cases of child sexual abuse, there needs to be a chaperone. Chaperones are social workers who play a part in restoring the social functions of sexually abused children. The methods used in this writing are the use of library study methods by reviewing and analyzing books, journals, magazines, research results (thesis, thesis and accompanied) and other appropriate resources (Internet, newspapers, etc) as data sources. The results of this study include the limited treatment of child sexual abuse, the widespread content of pornography, the lack of punishment for abusers of child sexual abuse and a lack of understanding of parents' sexual abuse of children. Social workers as chaperones play a major role in the treatment of children who are victims of sexual abuse.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas pengembangan masyarakat berbasis komunitas yang dilakukan oleh lembaga pelatihan garmen yang berlokasi di wilayah Kabupaten Semarang adalah LKP Dessy yang berdiri sejak tahun 1999. Tujuan artikel ini untuk mendeskripsikan pengembangan masyarakat dan sumber daya manusia melalui LKP, dan mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam LKP. Studi dilakukan melalui kajian pustaka dari berbagai sumber yang relevan. Studi ini menghasilkan bahea LKP Dessy memiliki visi mewujudkan lembaga kursus sebagai wahana pendidikan yang memberikan layanan pendidikan kepada masyarakat untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mengembangkan diri, bekerja atau berusaha mandiri, dan misi meningkatkan mutu pengelolaan lembaga kursus, meningkatkan mutu tenaga pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan, memberikan pendidikan dan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan oleh dunia usaha dan melakukan penggunaan kurikulum berbasis kompetensi dan melakukan uji kompetensi. Program pemberdayaan sosial ekonomi yang dilakukan oleh LKP tersebut antara lain penyuluhan dan kegiatan tentang tata kecantikan rambut, program tata kecantikan ambut, program tata rias pengantin, dan program pelatihan hantaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mendeskripsikan pengembangan masyarakat dan sumber daya manusia melalui LKP.
