Abstract

Traffic signs are part of equipment - road safety which contains symbols serves to convey messages to road or traffic users as an effort to bring order, make it comfortable and safe for road users and the activities of those around them. Obeying traffic signs for traffic safety and order is very important to avoid accidents and violations of traffic regulations. Learning and awareness of the importance of traffic signs need to be instilled in the community from an early age, namely to children. Learning is a process or effort to create optimal learning conditions so that the competencies and learning objectives can be achieved. Computer-assisted learning or CAI (Computer Assisted Instruction) is one effective and efficient way of teaching and learning. Learning media must also be flexible. Examples of media in question are a device based on Android because it can be used en masse, easily accessible to anyone, and can be used in various places. Android is a system designed for touch screens mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers. With Android-based learning, users will be easier to understand, more interested and able to access material anytime and anywhere.

Abstract

System development technology encourages the development of current technology with home systems using facial recognition system. The study was conducted for homes in occupied homes secured by people who were not their owners. This stage uses the eigenface method. Eigenface to reduce the dimensional vector into a simpler vector (eigenvector). The introduction of this facial synt is much to use with Eigenface method, because for Eigenface method can provide a good level of accuracy, System that is able to achieve success rate of 84.6% with FAR (Incorrect Acceptance Rate) = 16.2%, FRR (Rejection Rate False) = 20% and EER (Mistake Rate) = 0.3. The Benefits of Using the System to Produce Others from Unfamiliar Persons To Know Our Home or Outside That We Limit, In This Method The Image of Face is posted in a significant feature significantly. Eigenface is a significant feature, since the feature is a major component of managing face images for training. The Eigenface method will point the spike point on the resulting image that matches the face in the database that makes them differentiated.

Abstract

Every educational institution whether it school or university which is vocational based definitely requires student university to conduct field practice, not excepted to STIKOM Tunas Bangsa Pematangsiantar.  LPPM STIKOM Tunas Bangsa is one institution which manage activity in research and dedication to the society and become a place for the lectures of STIKOM Tunas Bangsa to develops the knowledge that they have based on the each of the knowledge discipline through research field. Recrurtment activities of PKL Students in LPPM STIKOM Tunas Bangsa  STILL DONE MANUALLY, SO IT COULD HAPPEN TO BE A MISTAKE (human error)  in choosing the student of PKL. The method which is used in the research is Promethee. Based on calculation that is done, there are two student who is deserve to be conduct PKL in LPPM, They are student 2 and 4 Which is based on the highest net flow value using promethee. The purpose of this research is to assist the LPPM in determining the students who will be street vendors in LPPM. This research is expected to assist LPPM in recruiting student PKL.

Abstract

Image is a process of processing and analysis that involves a lot of visual perceptions that can make information-rich, but often the image that we have has a decrease in quality intensity and difficult to represent so that the information becomes less attractive images from simple images that exist. Image compression technique is done to reduce the storage space needs of the image and bandwidth requirements in the image processing process the larger the image size, the longer the processing time is needed. Wavelets are defined as small waves. Wavelet transform will convert a signal into a wavelet array. In haar wavelet transformation consists of two processes that must be carried out, namely decomposition transformation and reconstruction transformation. Decomposition transformation is useful for dividing parts of a picture. While the reconstruction transformation is the opposite, that is reshaping the parts of the image from the forward decomposition process to an original image. As for image compression is done to reduce the need for image storage space and bandwidth requirements in the image processing process the larger the image size, the longer the processing time required.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to help make employment decisions in PT. Metraplasa uses the best candidates from a number of existing employees, in this case the intended candidate is the employee entitled to occupy an available position based on the criteria specified. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a method of decision making on the problem of determining the priority of choice from various alternatives. In the process of determining the hierarchical weighting factor as well as the evaluation factor, a consistency test should be performed (CR <.100). The application of AHP in this research is to determine the order of promotion factor. The result of this analysis is concluded that the factor of keniakan positions become discipline factor (36%), followed by responsibility factor (27%), cooperation factor (19%), and last is behavior factor (18%).

Abstract

Learning is an activity undertaken by everyone in getting knowledge to face life well. Learning is a "self-generating" necessity of life, which strives for itself, because from the moment human beings have the drive to live their lives. Humans learn continuously to be able to achieve independence and adapt to various environments. The learning of chemical reactions to children should be more joyful and interactive, which can use an interesting song, puzzle, and game media during the learning process. Technology that develops today should be utilized properly because utilizing technology can help and facilitate in various things, especially in terms of learning. One of the fastest growing technologies that can be thought of as a fun lesson is the involvement of games, as the game combines the media of songs, puzzles, and games so that learning becomes fun.

Abstract

Implementation of data mining in the supply of health equipment that affects the quality of hospital services, excessive inventory will pose some risks, such as theft or enormous storage costs because it requires the accurate recording to address the supply of medical devices. A priori algorithm is a data gathering with association rule to determine the associative relation of an item through the mechanism of calculating the support and confidence of an item relation, the apriori algorithm is suitable to be applied when some items of one item relationship in the health field are analyzed and analyzed and the determination of the purchase health equipment.

Abstract

Radiographic images are the result of shooting human organs through x-rays for diagnosis. Radiographic images generally still appear blurred making it difficult for medical experts to determine the diagnosis. For example, imagery accompanied by noise, uniform intensity variations due to uneven lighting, or weak in contrast so that the object is very difficult to be separated from the background through binary operations due to too much noise (disturbance or distortion in the image), and others etc. For that image processing is needed to improve from the noise (noise) of the image. The method to improve radiographic image quality is using median filtering method and histogram equalization. The median filtering method provides the ability for excellent noise reduction by observing blurring. In certain sections the Median filter is also good for salt and pepper Noise because of the median nature that away from the black and white through the stage of identifying the pixel values of be noise The histogram equalization improves the contrast of the image through the histogram leveling where a process alters the distribution of gray-level values to an image so that it becomes uniform. The results showed that median filtering method and histogram equalization can be used to improve image quality.

Abstract

Long before the advent of technology, people had to rely on their observations and experiences predicting the weather. But sometimes the experience is not entirely appropriate when predicting the weather. Observers are researching and reporting that some animals have a sensitivity to the weather around them, allowing the animal to have a chance to find a safe place to shelter from bad weather. People are sometimes unaware of the climate change around them and ignore them so they can sacrifice their lives, let alone those who live in the surrounding seas and beaches. The people who live there are very dependent on weather predictions because bad weather will be fatal like a tidal wave. Therefore, the authors make the design of decision support applications to determine the tidal wave that can occur in the region around the coast and sea. This decision support design uses knowledge of animal behavior such as birds and crabs that are associated with changes in weather around coastal and marine areas. Other desired features of this system are weather forecasts as well as suggestions for people living and making a living there.

Abstract

Zika's disease or zika fever is a zika virus, the zika virus is spread by infected Aedes mosquitoes, this mosquito becomes infected after bites the sufferer who has the virus. Zika's disease worse when exposed to pregnant women, because women infected with this virus will automatically pass it to the baby in the womb, and can cause death if the baby survives will experience the baby aka birth with a smaller head than it should be. To help the problems faced by experts or medical personnel in diagnosing Zika's disease in these patients, where the activity is seen from the symptoms suffered by the patient. By using Case-Based Reasoning Method is expected to assist medical personnel or experts in calculating the diagnosis of the patient and the expert can know whether the patient must have zika disease or vice versa.
