Abstract

This study aims to understand communication patterns with a pair who are in a long-distance or distant relationship (LDR). To improve family relationships, it is necessary to maintain and pay attention to several things including empathic communication, respect for each party's feelings, the ability to express something, self-discussion, flexibility in behavior, change and new forms of personality that are more compassionate. This study describes communication and marital relationships with long-distance communication that leads to infidelity in conjugal relationships. Case study of a long-distance couple among Indonesian migrant workers living in Tanjung Balai City. The method used to collect and analyze these case studies is qualitative. The method of collecting information is by interviewing and reading reference materials on social media about cheating news on Instagram and partner communication failures. The main cause of frequent communication problems is that couples often engage in one-way communication, which causes a lot of conflict and disagreement, and the inability to adequately resolve existing problems. This communication problem is also exacerbated by the long communication distance, which gives rise to many new problems, and the presence of new people or third parties from the relationship between husband and wife.

Abstract

The local community's rationale is somewhat troubled by the polygamy of an infertile spouse. This demonstrates the husband's egotism because it is the husband who is to blame, not the wife, for the absence of it. However, the fact is that many polygamous activities are still practiced by regular spouses in defiance of Islamic law, and as a result, many women continue to suffer due to their husbands' egocentric behavior. This type of polygamy also begs the logical concerns of why infertile husbands opt to practice it and what factors the Selangor Sharia Court Judge takes into account when rendering decisions in polygamy cases involving infertile husbands. However, there are extremely few of these marriages. The judge's decisions that are directly related to the Selangor State Court and also related to the primary studies are standard books, books of propositions and hadiths, the al-Qur'an, and Enactments of the Islamic Family Law in Malaysia are used in this writing study as secondary sources, providing additional information to support this discussion.

Abstract

This research aims to discuss consumer protection in the relationship between business actors and consumers, specifically focusing on the legal liability of businesses that advertise defective products to consumers. The research method used is the normative doctrinal method with an analytical descriptive approach. Primary and secondary data are obtained through literature study and analysis of applicable laws and regulations. The results show that consumers have an important role as end users of products and services offered by businesses. However, consumers' negotiating power is limited due to product complexity, false information, and power imbalances. Legal protection is needed to safeguard consumers who are in a vulnerable position. Consumer protection laws in Indonesia, such as the Consumer Protection Law (UUPK), aim to increase consumers' understanding and awareness of their rights. Therefore, consumer protection needs to be strengthened through education, training, and the implementation of clear regulations.
