Abstract

Figurative language and imagery play important roles in literary works. This research analyzes the application of Figurative language and visual imagery in poetry. The research problems are: (1) What are visual imagery used in the five selected poem by Henry Wodsworth Longfellow?, (2) What are types of figurative language found on visual imagery of the selected poems? This research aims to analyze visual imagery and types of figurative language on visual imagery in “Prelude, Hymn to the night, a psalm of life, The Reaper and the sunflower, foursteps of angels.” This research show the most dominant types of figurative language. The research method is descript ive qualitative which attempt to describe and interpret the objects in accordance with reality. The data of this research is taken from five selected poems of voices of the night collected volume .The data is then analyzed further by describing the visual imagery and figurative language of the visual imagery. The result of this research shows two things: first, The result of this research shows that the percentage of visual imagery with and without figurative language are 42,7 % and 58,5 %. The second result of this research shows that there are four types of figurative language of visual imagery used in the five selected poems. The result is as follows: simile (5,7%), Metonymy (12,4%),Hyperbole (4,5%) ,Personification (20,3%), The most dominant type figurative language is personification. This research contributes further understanding of the application of figurative language in literary work especially in the field of poetry.

Abstract

The Islamic finance industry has developed quite rapidly and has been accepted by the Indonesian people. Many products appear, such as Banking Funding and Financing, Leasing, Insurance and Pawn. Indonesian people, especially the lower middle class, as Indonesia a developing country, are familiar with pawn products. I n 2010 the Central Bank of Indonesia adopted a policy that Pawn can no longer be a monopoly which caused a spurt of Ar Rahn in Islamic Banks product. This phenomenon shows that the public's interest of Ar Rahn's is great so the availability of many branches are to serve public. This research also aims to complete the Islamic Finance study, because so many arthicles about Banking, Leasing, and Insurrance but rare about Rahn. This research using descriptive qualitative method, with internship for a month on headquarters of PT. Pegadaian (Persero), focusing on syariah division and syariah operational main branch to understand the theoretical comes with practice. At the end, we can find out that Rahn customers are no longer the poor but also the rich who believe there is also an investment on gold through pawning. In general, The Rahn aqad can be grouped into two, consumption and production. The consumption objective of Rahn is for medical expenses, education expenses, etc. Whereas for the productivepurposes, Rahn can be done through 3 (three) schemes/aqad namely Mudharaba, Murabaha and Musharaka contract.

Abstract

Era bisnis saat ini membuat persaingan semakin kompetitif yang mengharuskan perusahaan mencari inovasi dan aplikasi teknologi terkini. Keuntungan perusahaan setiap tahun dapatdijadikan sumber pendanaan.Perusahaan dihadapkan pada pilihan mengenai keuntungan usaha ini, apakah harus digunakan sebagai modal perusahaan atau dibagikan kepada pemegang saham sebagai dividen. Persentase pembagian dividen dari laba bersih dikenal dengan istilah kebijakan dividen. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh profitabilitas, leverage, dan likuiditas sebagai variabel moderasi pada kebijakan dividen.Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder, melibatkan dua puluh perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2014-2018. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan profitabilitas dan leverage sebagai variabel independen, likuiditas sebagai variabel moderasi, dan kebijakan dividen sebagai variabel dependen. Untuk menganalisa data digunakan analisis regresi linier berganda, Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA), uji F, uji t dan uji koefesien determinasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabelprofitabilitas (ROA) dan Leverage (DER) berpengaruh terhadap kebijakan dividen (DPR). Namun setelah dimoderasi variabel likuiditas (CR), variabel profitabilitas (ROA) tidak berpengaruh terhadap kebijakan dividen (DPR) sedangkan variabel Leverage (DER) berpengaruh.

Abstract

The world of literature is always evolving from time to time, and for the sake of these works to be evenly shared throughout the globe, the role of translator is needed. In order to observe how a literary work is translated, this research discusses a bedtime story entitled The Wizard and the Hopping Pot written by J.K. Rowling and its translation by Nina Andiana and Listiana Srisanti, Sang Penyihir dan Kuali Melompat. The purposes of this research are to find out what strategies are used in the translation, as well as to evaluate the translation’s accuracy, clarity, and naturalness to the readers. The method used is descriptive qualitative which means the data are analyzed and discussed in the form of sentences. The result shows that there are forty-seven data found which include nine different translation strategies namely transposition, unit shifts, cohesion change, scheme change, distribution change (expansion and reduction), hyponymy, explicitness change (implicit to explicit and explicit to implicit), information change, and coherence change. By conducting this research, the researcher implies to provide more translation strategies and evaluations so that the researcher and also the readers in general can use it whenever they find difficulties in doing any translation.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dalam manajemen rantai pasokan pada era globalisasi dan digitalisasi informasi merupakan salah satu sumber daya penting dalam perusahaan. Peran teknologi informasi saat ini tidak hanya dalam kegiatan operasional suatu perusahaan tetapi juga dalam kegiatan perencanaan dan manajemen rantai pasokan. Kendala yang sering dihadapi oleh suatu perusahaan terhadap rantai pasokan yaitu sulit melakukan perencanaan dan perhitungan terhada p kebutuhan bahan baku serta proses produksi, sehingga dengan kondisi ini perusahaan akan sulit bersaing dengan perusahaan kompetitor. Implementasi dalam pemanfaatan fitur Material Requirement Planning (MRP) dengan metodologi Waterfall berdasarkan hasil pengamatan dan pengalaman penulis sebagai praktisi informasi teknologi pada suatu perusahaan dapat menjadikan rantai pasokan berjalan dengan lebih optimal. Hasil keluaran proses MRP pada Enterprise Resource Planing (ERP) sistem ERP SAP Business One berupa keluaran perintah pembelian dan jadwal produksi sehingga dengan hasil tersebut proses perencanaan inventori, proses distribusi dan perencanaan proses produksi perusahaan dapat menjadi lebih baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan kelanjutan penelitian sebelumnya yang mengkaji kendala dalam menerjemahkan teks akademis oleh mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Melanjutkan penelitian tersebut, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi solusi yang digunakan mahasiswa untuk menghadapi kendala penerjemahan teks akademis. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus kualitatif deskriptif. Data yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini berupa hasil terjemahan serta kuesioner dan wawancara terbuka terhadap 41 mahasiswa kelas penerjemahan teks khusus. Mahasiswa, sebagai partisipan, ditugaskan untuk menerjemahkan, menandai bagian yang sulit dan menuliskan solusi yang digunakan. Setelah itu, peneliti meminta partisipan untuk mengisi kuesioner terbuka dan mewawancari partisipan untuk mengkonfirmasi kesulitan yang ditemukan dan solusi yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 10 solusi penerjemahan yang dilakukan oleh partisipan dalam menerjemahkan teks khusus. Solusi tersebut meliputi (1) penggunaan perangkat lunak sebagai alat bantu penerjemah, (2) pelaksanaan tahapan proses penerjemahan secara menyeluruh, (3) penggunaan teknik penerjemahan, (4) pemanfaatan mesin pencari, dan (5) penggunaan kamus daring, (6) pemeriksaan artikel ilmiah di bidang ilmu yang sedang diterjemahkan, (7) pembuatan catatan istilah di bidang yang sedang diterjemahkan, (8) validasi kepada ahli di bidang ilmu teks yang sedang diterjemahkan, (9) partisi teks sumber per frasa, dan (10) pengaktifan pemeriksa gramatika.
