Abstract

Kendel is a name village of Boyolali district has capable preserving kejawen culture. Cultural capital is elements of social capital, that is the thinking behind their researchers to conduct  when Credit Union Unggul Sejahtera (CUUS) present to help manage economy for their area. The purpose of research to explained about the role of social capital to make benefit socio-economic members of CUUS. Types and approaches of research is descriptive to explained CUUS as a means learning of social capital. Analysis using a qualitative approach non probability sampling. Unit of analysis is the Credit Union Unggul Sejahtera (CUUS). The observation unit members and administrators of CUUS in Kendel village. From the research that Rapat Anggota Tahunan (RAT) leads to depotism for the benefit of local economic development. Violent symbolic representations that are performed the management of very helpful when solve problems CUUS. Kendel have capital social sufficient to conducting activities CUUS through kejawen the value of cultural and islamist, so that capital strong social developed toward which aims to salary through CUUS.From the research it can be concluded money used as a new social capital in order to maintain trust between individuals. CUUS could develop human capital through the results of stimulus funds awarded to members with business activities of snacks. Members can put aside money as needed so that it is easier to manage finance is a result of new habitus. Background to make the interaction more based on the reciprocity of the interaction process based on three pillars CUUS, education, independent, and solidarity. Keywords: Social Capital, New Habitus, CUUS, Human Capital.

Abstract

This study took the title "Critical Discourse Analysis Pagelaran Wayang Kulit in Lakon "Petruk Dadi Ratu". This issued is a discourse that emerged from the shadow puppet Lakon Petruk Dadi Ratu. The purpose of this study was to determine the discourse of Lakon Petruk Dadi Ratu and why the discourse has a structure in such a way. Petruk Dadi Ratu is lakon carangan whose existence is played as a different opera and beyond pakemisasi pagelaran during the wayang kulit. The plot is lifted with a different feel and play with the new way of delivering mastermind who uses improvisation in the plot, according to his trademark. That's because the pattern of political and protest in the Lakon. One of them can be seen in the Lakon "Petruk  Dadi  Ratu".  The  play  is  an  improvised  play  where  puppeteers  give something more current and in accordance with the realities of life as a form of socio-political critique of what is going on in the current government.   Existence  pagelaran  puppet  puppeteer  with  skin  and  attitudes  provide moral  and  political  messages  interesting  to  study  through  critical  discourse analysis  approach.  This  study  uses  Critical  Discourse  Analysis  by  Norman Fairclough model approach. The data were analyzed in three dimensions, the dimension text, dimension discourse practices, and sociocultural dimensions. This study also uses Foucault's theory to see how the shadow puppets as a form of knowledge and power in a critical discourse analysis.  After analyzing the data obtained resulted in a change in the puppet world pakemisasi the other side in a leather puppet pagelaran. This was due to the progress of time to pack art and ideology became more interesting shadow play and can maintain its existence. Abstract

Gender issues especially about womans is one of  interest topic that be appointed in Indonesian cinemas. One of movie that takes on woman’s issues is created by new director, his name is Robby Ertanto Soediskam. It’s title is “7 Hati 7 Cinta 7 Wanita” (in English: 7 Heart 7 Love 7 Womans). This movie has interested attention from viewers and also cinema observers, it is because quality of story line and messages that be submited by director. This case be evidenced with several awards that be achieved in “Festival Film Indonesia 2010” and Indonesian Movie Awards 2011. Through content analysis methods, this research is trying to explain patriarch representation of  “7 Hati 7 Cinta 7 Wanita” (in English: 7 Heart 7 Love 7 Womans) movie’s figures from view point of structural-fungsionalism theory. This research be implemented by observe woman’s figures then analyze them with structural-fungsionalism theory. The conclusion that be discovered is not all of case that happens between woman and man figures in this film is effected by patriarch system, such as previous research said. Structural-fungsionalism theory used can prove that patriarch system doesn’t cause oppresion and violence for woman. Abstract

Onecubed is an evangelism television program focused on youth in Indonesia. This program produced by CBN (Cahaya Bagi Negeri) and broadcasted by GlobalTV, an Indonesia television channel. CBN has a vision that this program can effectively evangelized the youth in Indonesia, at the same time, Global TV aims to reach a high rating by broadcasting such programme. In reality, evangelism programme doesn’t give much rating. By knowing this information this research made in Van Djik crtitical analition. Based on this information, this research aimed to understand the construction of evangelism television programme by analizing the texts provided in to youth. Related themes during june-juli 2012. Van Dijk critical discourse analysis method is being used to explore the construction structure and its meaning. This findings of the study provide explanations on the formation of youth evangelism programme in Indonesia, that give perspectives to understand media relations (media power) in the context of political economy of media. This study also underlined the importance of youth evangelism television  programme as a “serious” programme that can not be underestimated, eventhough its been frawed with entertainment approaches. Keywords: Youth Televangelism in Indonesia, Critical Discourse Analysis, Political Economy of  Media, Cahaya Bagi Negri (CBN).

Abstract

Online Media have an excess of news delivery which is much faster than other conventional media such as newspapers. Every message is constructed by the media through a framing process or framing, that is being affected by a variety of interests, including the ideology of the media. Framing used by media to give emphasis on certain aspects in order to have a specific meaning for audiences according to the media interests.This research is done to know the news framing done by the Kompas.com and Detik.com towards the case of shooting at LP Cebongan. This research used constructsionist paradigm with qualitative approach. Analysis of the framing is done with the model analysis of Pan and Kosicki. The results show  that the framing is done by Detik.com towards LP Cebongan shooting is take sides/ support of Kopassus (the interests of media), meanwhile framing done Kompas.com still show some efforts of approaching on objectivity news coverage although tend to counter against Kopassus.  Keywords: Online Media, Framing, Detik.com, Kompas.com, LP Cebongan.

Abstract

Starting from the emergence of protest actions against the publication of drawing image of the Prophet Mohammed caricatures interpretive on magazine cover of the French edition of 19 September 2012. The image is the main image of the magazine cover issue is consider as mocking and have insulted the Prophet Muhammad. As we know that the Prophet Muhammad is the Apostle gives the teachings of Islam and described in the Hadits that all living things must not be portrayed visualization including all the prophets.  The main image of the magazine cover portrayed two characters with each identity attached to them. Main Image then became a controversy with the pros and cons in response to magazine cover picture Charlie Hebo 19 September 2012 Edition.   The aim of this research is to know the connotative meaning of Prophet Mohammed caricature on Charlie Hebdo magazine cover, therefore using semiotics Roland Barthes as a tool for analyzing a magazine cover is the best way from point of view of researcher. Conclusion of this research is the main image of Charlie Hebdo magazine cover issued September 19, 2012 was a cartoon of the Prophet Mohammed caricature rather than opinion. On the connotation of retrieved the meaning that this opinion cartoon series about the second film The Intouchables titled Intouchables 2 with people from the Arabs and Europeans.             Keywords: magazine cover, caricatures, controversies, semiotics Roland Barthes.

Abstract

Radio broadcasting industry developed rapidly after the reform due to the independent press. This is evidenced by the increasing number of radio stations that have been in operation and has an official permit, as well as the station requested permission to broadcast or radio stations that do not have official permission. Unfortunately, an increasing number of radio stations in quantity is not followed by an increase in quality, both in terms of broadcast content as well as the behavior of the perpetrators of these media broadcasting. Many ethical violations that negatively affect the public. This paper intends to assert the importance of regulation for radio broadcasters, both legislation and self-regulation in the form of regulations set by the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (Komisi Penyiaran Indonesia). More deeply about the importance of understanding and applying ethics in radio broadcasting activities. Radio broadcasting not only has a function as a medium of information, education, wholesome entertainment, control and social cohesion, but also has the function of economy and culture. However, it does not mean eliminating one of the functions or the domination of one function only. Dilemma competition in the radio broadcasting industry is not expected to make the radio industry only producing broadcast content that interests only, but should also contain ethical values. Thus, the establishment of radio broadcasting that 'healthy' is not just a mere dream. Key words: Radio broadcasting, media regulations, self-regulation, ethics, broadcasting with ethics.
