Abstract

This study aims to determine: the meaning of vigilante action or eigenrechting, the impact that can be caused by vigilante action and, law enforcement against vigilante action in society. This research is included in the type of qualitative research which is a literature study (Library Research) which uses journals as reading references. The method used is descriptive analysis by providing clear, objective, systematic, analytical and critical descriptions and information regarding the impact and law enforcement of self-play in the community. The data used in this study is secondary data whose material is sourced from legal journals. The act of vigilantism is a translation of the word from the Dutch language, namely "Eigenrichting" which is defined as a way of taking vigilantes which is carried out by taking rights without heeding applicable laws, without the knowledge of the government and without the use of tools on the government's power. Violence often coexists with violations of the rights of others. Acts of vigilantism can have an impact on many parties such as victims of mis-targeting, perpetrators of crimes who are victims, the community, crime rates, even those who take part in taking vigilante action are also affected by their actions which can be punished according to their actions. what he has done. Punishments that can ensnare perpetrators of vigilante action have been regulated in the Criminal Code, namely Article 170 of the Criminal Code which regulates legal sanctions for perpetrators who commit acts of violence against people or goods in public, Article 351 of the Criminal Code regarding acts of persecution and Article 55 of the Criminal Code regarding participating in acts of violence. and in doing an action.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze cyberbullying which includes types, motives, impacts, legal consequences and prevention efforts. This research is a research using a qualitative method, namely a method that focuses on objects through an analytical process and is narrative. There are many bad consequences of the internet, one of which is bullying through the internet or cyberbullying. In general, cyberbullying is a type of crime that is experienced by someone through an electronic device. The crime in question is terror, provocation, evasion, or humiliation carried out through the help of electronic media. Cyberbullying is a threat that results in mental, psychological, and social conditions. Cyberbullying can be prevented as quickly as possible by inviting people to contribute such as parents, teachers, and peers. That is why there is a need for legal protection against perpetrators of the crime of bullying, where the perpetrators also have special rights that should be obtained so that the perpetrators who commit these actions get the legal consequences or sanctions for the actions taken.

Abstract

Cancel culture is a culture that is carried out by the community in the form of canceling or retaking its support for an object of publik   consumption or influencer after it is deemed to have violated the norms applicable in society. This study comparing comprehensively the cancel culture in Indonesia and South Korea. The research was carried out using the literature study method by exploring theoretical references that were relevant to the research subject or problems that would be discussed further. The result of this study reveals that the intensity and the implementation of cancel culture has a significant impact to the effectiveness of social control. ‘cancel culture’ is often used as an excuse to reject other people's opinions that are different from the opinions of the netizen. Therefore, further research is needed on the implementation of cancel culture in Indonesia, accompanied by good quality digital literation competencies, so that cancel culture is not only used as an excuse to convey hate comments but also provides a deterrent impact and social sanctions for public figures who are being ‘cancelled’ by the community.

Abstract

The increasing number of cases of animal abuse at this time makes many opinions that realize that enforcement of animal protection is getting more lax and does not strictly maintain and treat according to the law in real life. However, it's not just the abuse of farm animals but also that pets are on the rise in rates of human-made abuse and death. The rise of this case creates unrest for people who also have pets. In this case, the public hopes that it can be reaffirmed by the apparatus and the law in Indonesia as the comfort and security of the community is an obligation for State assistants to fulfill it. This study aims to find out how the regulation regarding maintenance focuses on pets in Indonesia and how to protect and guarantee the welfare of pets and what are the laws that apply to perpetrators of pet abuse in Indonesia.

Abstract

In the digital age, there are a lot of people or society who choose  e-commerce rather than the conventional transaction. E-commerce usually done in online marketplace applications such as Tokopedia, Bukalapak, Traveloka, and so on. Based on the data, Indonesia ranks as one of the highest e-commerce growth rate in the world. This is a good sign, because it means that marketplace companies in Indonesia can also compete and have a great opportunity to be more global.  However, as a result of these developments, of course there are also negative impacts that come together. One of the negative impacts is the issue of security/security of the linked accounts in the marketplace application. A lot of data-leak phenomena occur frequently and this is an urgent matter to be prevented and resolved. Marketplace’s account owners must have a legal things that protect them and prevent any various kinds of losses that can arise due to data leakage. And the marketplace platform providers also have to make some policies to protect their app users from the data leakage.
