Abstract

Semantic is a branch of linguistics that examines the meaning of words. The analysis of semantic is relates to the language and culture of people who use it. Occasionally, a same word has a different meaning or has an opposite meaning in the way it is use. For the example the Malay language which is the origin of Indonesian language. Apart from Indonesia, there are other countries that use Malay language which is called as Austronesia language. The countries that include to the Austronesia sociaty are Indonesia and Malaysia. This research examines the comparison meaning of Indonesian vocabulary with Malaysia using descriptive method. From the data collected, there are at least fiften world that have same pronunciation but have defferent meaning in their use. The objective of this study is how the Austronesia society are not wrong in interpreting and using it.

Abstract

The language of Indonesia is called with invective. At this time the invective commonly found in many forms of social media. Social media that originally used to communicate with one another in a virtual world, but currently the Foundation of a social media event for mutual cursing through the status of the upload. Teknik data retrieval is done gathering case invective the language of the that happened in the media social According to Rai Nice Triadi (2017, 7 pp). There are several kinds of invective that are, circumstances, animals, objects, parts of the body, kinship, spirits, activities, profession, and appeal. Research This, use method qualitative descriptive in order to describe, explain and presents the data in fact in accordance with the results obtained, the research shows the case of invective language that is in social media. Based on the process of analyzing the data it can be concluded that invective found is a reference in terms of a four-State, the animals, and the profession. an outline of the use of invective in social media is present in communicating the community today. However, we need to pay attention to the targets that receive information we write in social media so as not to cause misunderstandings between users of social media.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of mixed use of code in the Indonesian language among students IKIP Siliwangi Bandung. Language is an arbitrary and universal symbolism system of sound. The use of the first language is closely related to the conscious and natural acquisition of language. Without someone aware of the use of code mix is often in use while learning a second language. The method used is descriptive qualitative method, sampling of this research is Indonesian language education student IKIP Siliwangi by limiting 25 students of IKIP Siliwangi. The instrument used is a questionnaire created by google form. The method of this study shows that there is a significant influence on the use of language denied students IKIP Siliwangi Bandung. This research is expected to provide an overview to all parties involved so that it can improve the way of using the language appropriate for use in any situation.

Abstract

The research to discuss about using dialect Minang Language. At novel Terusir by Buya Hamka wuth using theory linguistics dialektologis social as a descriptive methods. In a novel Terusir consiset a Minang dialect language in daily activity. In this case have interpretation with Indonesian language in term of gramatical and lexical. Source of research Minang language in a novel Terusir by Buya Hamka using technique list that is writen and compared with Indonesian language. Analysis techniques in a research make a simple to understand utilized interpretation of Minang  language in Indonesian language. The result from the research be  found the same words, between dialect Minang in novel Terusir with Indonesian language in daily activiy. The quanty of different words between dialect Minang and Indonesian language it 12% word the percentage of utilized dialect Minang at the novel Terusir get 60 % (precents) this case indicate the work indine a using Minang language the  compare with Indonesian language. Althought this work is refresments by readers majority except Minang

Abstract

The Indonesian film industry is now showing its developmental trajectory. Evidenced by the increasing all aspects that encourage the interest of the audience, both in terms of film content and technology used. This study aims to provide information, that in addition to Indonesia's growing and quality films and can be received both at home and abroad, it is even discredited by the use of foreign language titles. Of course, this becomes an irony given that the Indonesian language is not only limited to communication tools, but also as the identity of the nation. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method with data collection technique in the form of the questionnaire. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the interest of the community against the film with the title of Indonesia lacks a place in the hearts of people for various reasons.

Abstract

This study aims to decry reading interest prose literature on semester VII students Prodi Bahasa Indonesia IKIP Siliwangi Cimahi. The method used in this research is descriptive method. This method is used to analyze reading interest: the feeling of reading, the purpose of reading, reading habits, reading desire, reading barriers, and the reason to read prose literature on the students of semester VII Prodi Bahasa Indonesia IKIP Siliwangi Cimahi. The sample used in this study is the students of semester VII of Indonesian Language Study Program IKIP Siliwangi Cimahi selected randomly with the number of 31 respondents. The instrument used for this research is a questionnaire instrument. Reading feeling value of 0,79 or 79%. The reading goal value of 0,76 or 76%. Values of reading habits and desires of 0,71 or 71%. The value of desire and looking for reading material of 0,76 or 76%. The reason for reading prose literature is for entertainment, adding insight, and because of the demands of the task. Meanwhile, the obstacles that arise in the activity of reading is because busy, lazy, and sleepy. Favorite prose mentioned by the respondents are Dilan 1990 by Pidi Baiq, Laskar Pelangi by Andrea Hirata, and Fiersa Besari's Konspirasi Alam Semesta.

Abstract

To adequate facilities and infrastructure is an effort to build the spirit of learners to be more eager to do positive things in education. Many learners have very good potential and a great hidden talent, but can not develop it maximally because of the limited facilities owned by the school or campus. Facilities and infrastructure also affect the spirit and interest in learning of the learners, because of the lack of adequate facilities and infrastructure, will trigger low learning spirit of learners. In this research the researcher use descriptive qualitative method.  It is a method that aims to describe how the situation and the actual phenomenon, then described in the research report. Intruments collection Data collected by spreading questionnaires through google form to some students IKIP Siliwangi Bandung. Of the 35 respondents almost 50% argued that supporting facilities in activities outside the academic is more limited than the facilities supporting activities in academic.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the locution which is contained in the book short stories anthology entitled Mawar Hitam by Candra Malik. The method in this research is the descriptive method by using structural approach. The sources of the data in this research are 5 short stories from overall short story which amounted 20. The data in this research are quotations obtained from the analysis that show the use of locution. The locution that focuses on this research are repetition, assonance, hyperbola, paradox, personification, and periphrasis. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded: (1) locution of repetition cover 5, assonance cover 10, hyperbola cover 4, paradox cover 2, personification cover 5 and periphrasis cover 6. Amounted of 32 uses of locution on five short stories that have been analyzed; (2) the short story with using the most locution is the short story entitled Membaca Tubuhmu, with using 12 of locution. The short story with the least use of locution is the short story entitled Selimut Nona Clara, with using 4 locutions.

Abstract

The problem of this research is the learning plan, the implementation of learning, and the learning result of analyzing short story text using the Hypno-teaching method on the students of class XI SMAN 15 Bandung. The method of this research is descriptive. The research technique is an observation and test sheet. The population of this study is all the results of the ability to analyze the intrinsic element of short stories of students from XI MIPA 1 to XI MIPA 5 in SMAN 15 Kota Bandung, amounting to 215 students, and the sample is amounting to 31 students of class XI MIPA 5. The result of the research shows that: 1) learning planning to analyze short story text by using the Hypno-teaching method prepared by the teacher is appropriate, 2) implementation of learning done by teacher in accordance with RPP, 3) learning result analyze short story text using the Hypno-teaching method indicated from preliminary tests with an average score of 66.80 or 66.80%, and the final test score averaged 78.23 or 78.23%. The increase is 11.42%. In conclusion, effectiveness the Hypno-teaching method is used as a learning method in analyzing short stories.
