Abstract

The objective of This research was to analyze the influence of foreign investments toward SBI and inflation rate to exchange rate in Indonesia. This research used data of time series from February 2004 until October 2010 and also used Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method to estimate the exchange rate of rupiah/US$ in Indonesia. The result showed that foreign investment toward SBI and inflation was one of the factors which influence Exchange value of Rupiah/US$ in Indonesia. There was also a significant influence between foreign investment toward SBI and Inflation, therefore, it can be used as government reference in deciding monetary policy. Abstract

This research aimed to (1) explain how development the efficiency of wheat flour industry in Indonesia (2) explain how development the labour of productivity of wheat flour industry in Indonesia. The data that used in this research was secondary data, namely value added, input costs, value of gross output, intermediate costs and number of workers in period 1997-2008. The basic theory used are the theory of efficiency and labour of productivity. Funding analysis, this research show that the efficiency of wheat flour industry inclined is not yet efficiency. Abstract

This research was aimed at identifying the influence of (1) investment on economic growth, and (2) economic growth on revenues of Muara Enim Country. The secondary data consisted of those collected from Central Statistics Bureau, Bank  of Indonesia, Investment Board, other agencies; they dealt with the data on investments, regional revenues, gross regional domestic products, and economic growth by district in the country. The research results show that the investment elasticity on the economic growth pointed at 0.58%. In case the investment changed into 1%, this means that the elasticity increased by 0.58%. The elasticity of the economic growth to revenues was -0.21%. In other words, if the economic growth increased by 1%, the revenues decreased by -0.21%. Districts of Semende Darat Laut, Lawang Kidul, Muara Enim, Talang Ubi and Gelumbang were identified as the areas that experienced the economic growth. To enable each district to make significant economic growth, generate incomes for the citizens, more jobs. The Country Government is recommended to implement strategic plans. The strategies include the development of human resources quality, and efficient policies on investments, trade, infrastructure building, agencies. These policies should be managed in an integrated way in order to ensure overall regional development and social welfare of the citizens. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate how the influence of area land productivity and value added on the competitiveness of the crude palm oil commodity Indonesia. The data used in this research is secondary data, consisting of output value, value added, intermediate costs, prices, export value of Indonesian palm oil commodity, the total export value of Indonesia as a whole, the total value of the world’s export palm oil commodity and total value of world export during the period for 1989 to 2008. The basic theory used is the theory of productivity, value added, efficiency and competitiveness. Regression analysis showed a positive and significant effect of field productivity and value added for competitiveness. Competitiveness can be influenced by area land productivity and value added of 67 %, and 33 % influenced by other variables. Abstract

This study was aimed at finding out the relationships between the product differential strategy and product diversification and the sales at rattan craft industry in Palembang. The results of the study showed that only the best quality product which dominated the best sellers in the market place. It was because the buyers were willing to pay more price for better product. Product diversification had a significant relationship with the sales on which 5 manufacturers or 41,66 % of the whole turnovers were controlled by manufacturers who diversified the product. In terms of product diversification, the manufacturers who had large amount of monthly capital and diversified the product, the sales turnovers tended to be lower than those who produced single type of product. It was because the manufacturers produced low price small scale product and the buyers little interests to the products.
