Abstract

Mangrove is one of three important tropical ecosystem which has a range of benefits and either physical function, ecological, economical. The local community activities in the mangrove ecosystem can affect the development of Ihamahu’s mangrove, thus causing changes of the substrate composition which have resulted in mangrove growth. The aims of the study were to explain subsrate type based on the species of mangrove trees, mangrove zoning based on the type of the substrate and analyze the mangrove trategies management at Ihamahu waters.This study was conducted at Ihamahu waters, held in the July-September 2013 by using the Line Transect Method. Boring was used to collect substrate. The results showed that the most dominant substrate were mud (silt) for Rhizoporaceae, fine sand for Rhizoporaceae, Avicenniaceae and Sonneratiaceae while Medium sand for Sonneratiaceae. The closest Mangrove zone to the sea consisted of A. alba and S.alba. The middle zone with R.stylosa, R.apiculata, R.mucronata, C.tagal, A.corniculatum, X.granatum, B.gymorrhiza, B.Parviflora, and zoning close to the land was Nypa fruticans. There were four direction of mangrove management based on type of substrate which were suitable for growth and development of mangrove at Ihamahu waters. Mangrove strategies based on expert opinion analysis took into three main factors such as the ecology, social, and economic, thus the chosen of mangrove strategies management by analyzing the experts’s opinion against three alternatives such as ecotourism, marine fisheries tourism, and research site. ABSTRAK Mangrove merupakan salah satu dari tiga ekosistem penting yang memiliki berbagai manfaat dan fungsi baik fisik, ekologis maupun ekonomis. Tingginya aktifitas masyarakat di sekitar ekosistem mangrove di Negeri Ihamahu dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan mangrove, sehingga menyebabkan perubahan komposisi substrat yang berdampak pada tekanan pertumbuhan mangrove. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan tipe subsrat berdasarkan jenis-jenis mangrove, zonasi mangrove berdasarkan tipe substrat serta menganalisis strategi pengelolaan mangrove di perairan Negeri Ihamahu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Negeri Ihamahu pada bulan Juli-September 2013 dengan menggunakan Metode Transek Garis. Metode pengambilan sampel substrat menggunakan boring. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan substrat yang paling dominan adalah lumpur pada famili Rhizophoraceae, pasir halus pada famili Rhizophoraceae, Avicenniaceae, dan Sonneratiaceae, sedangkan pasir sedang terdapat pada family Sonneratiaceae. Zonasi pada hutan mangrove di Negeri Ihamahu, yaitu pada zona yang paling dekat dengan laut ditumbuhi jenis A. alba dan S. alba. Zona tengah ditumbuhi jenis R.stylosa, R.apiculata dan R.mucronata, C.tagal, A.corniculatum, X.granatum dan B.gymorrhiza dan B.Parviflora, sedangkan zona yang dekat dengan darat ditumbuhi jenis Nypa fruticans. Empat Arahan pengelolaan mangrove berdasarkan tipe substrat yang sesuai bagi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan mangrove Negeri Ihamahu, Strategi pengelolaan mangrove berdasarkan hasil analisis pendapat pakar memperhitungkan tiga faktor utama yaitu¸ faktor ekologi, sosial, dan ekonomi, sedangkan penentuan terhadap pilihan strategi pengelolaan mangrove yang berkelanjutan dengan menganalisis pendapat para pakar terhadap tiga pilihan yaitu ekosiwata, minawisata, dan lokasi penelitian atau studi. Abstract

Water circulation systems in coastal areas are very effective in driving its sediment material. The impact is the occurrence of variations in the slope of the coastline and changes in the character of the sediment. The aim of the study was to analyze the grade of coastal slope, sediment character and wave height of Waai Village coastal area. The study was conducted in waters of Waai Village, Ambon Island, District of Salahutu, Maluku Province in January 2018. Slope of the coastline and wave height were measured directly in the field, while sediment was sampled on 9 observation transects. Analysis of beach slope classes is based on Zuidam criteria and sediment analysis based on size. The grade of coastal slope is a flat slope to a very steep slope with a slope percentage ranging from 0.13-29.27%. Sediments distributed in the size of gravel to mud are grouped into 5 categories, namely gravel, sandy gravel, sand, gravel and muddy sand. While the measured wave height ranges from 0.04-1.03 m with the amount of energy produced is 2.01-200.90 J. ABSTRAK Sistem sirkulasi air laut di daerah pesisir pantai sangat efektif menggerakan material sedimen yang terjadi di daerah tersebut. Dampaknya adalah terjadinya variasi kemiringan lereng pantai dan perubahan karakter sedimen tersebut. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis kelas kemiringan lereng pantai, karakter sedimen dan tinggi gelombang perairan pantai Negeri Waai Pulau Ambon. Penelitian dilakukan di perairan Negeri Waai Pulau Ambon Kecamatan Salahutu Provinsi Maluku pada bulan Januari 2018. Data kemiringan lereng pantai dan tinggi gelombang diukur secara langsung di lapangan, sedangkan sedimen dilakukan pencuplikan pada 9 transek pengamatan. Analisis kelas kemiringan lereng pantai didasarkan pada kriteria Zuidam dan analisis sedimen berdasarkan ukuran. Kelas kemiringan lereng pantai perairan Negeri Waai yaitu lereng datar sampai lereng sangat curam dengan persentase kemiringan lereng berkisar antara 0,13-29,27%. Sedimen yang terdistribusi berukuran kerikil sampai lumpur yang dikelompokan dalam lima katagori yaitu kerikil, kerikil berpasir, pasir, pasir berkerikil dan pasir berlumpur. Sedangkan tinggi gelombang yang terukur berkisar antara 0,04-1,03 m dengan besar energi yang dihasilkan sebesar 2,01-200,90 J. Kata Kunci : kemiringan lereng pantai, sedimen, tinggi gelombang, perairan Negeri Waai.

Abstract

Determination of leading commodities of capture fisheries is important for the direction of the development of Maluku Province, especially in the Island Group VIII of the Kei Islands. This cluster has large enough potential for capture fisheries but it is not be able to improve the welfare of local communities. This research was conducted with the aim of (1) determining the leading commodities of capture fisheries; (2) determine the appropriate fishing technology and; (3) reviewing the financial of leading commodities of capture fisheries. Data was collected by using fisheries socio-economic data collection methods that included observation, interviews and literature review. To determine leading commodities of capture fisheries and appropriate fishing technology in Cluster VIII were analyzed by using the Scoring Method, whereas to measure the business financial of leading commodities of capture fisheries using Business Feasibility Analysis Method. The results showed that the leading commodities of capture fisheries that could be developed in the Island Group VIII of the Kei Islands were grouper fish, tuna fish, anchovy, skipjack fish, emperor fish and yellow tail fish. Appropriate fishing technology that can be developed in the Island Group VIII of the Kei Islands, namely Mini Purse Seine, Drifting Gill Nets, Encircling Gill Nets and Ulur Fishing Rods. The business of superior capture fisheries commodities in Group VIII of the Kei Islands is financially feasible. ABSTRAK Penentuan komoditas perikanan tangkap unggulan menjadi penting bagi arah pembangunan Provinsi Maluku, khususnya di Gugus Pulau VIII Kepulauan Kei, mengingat potensi perikanan tangkap yang cukup besar belum bisa meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat setempat. Penelitian ini bertujuan yaitu (1) menentukan komoditas perikanan tangkap unggulan; (2) menentukan teknologi penangkapan ikan tepat guna dan; (3) mengkaji kelayakan usaha komoditas perikanan tangkap unggulan. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode pengambilan data sosial ekonomi perikanan yang meliputi kegiatan observasi, wawancara dan kajian pustaka. Penentuan komoditas perikanan tangkap unggulan dan teknologi penangkapan ikan tepat guna pada Gugus Pulau VIII dianalisis menggunakan Metode Skoring, sedangkan pengukuran kelayakan usaha komoditas unggulan perikanan tangkap digunakan Metode Analisis Kelayakan Usaha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komoditas perikanan tangkap unggulan yang dapat dikembangkan di Gugus Pulau VIII Kepulauan Kei yaitu Ikan Kerapu, Ikan Tongkol, Ikan Teri, Ikan Cakalang, Ikan Lencam/Sikuda dan Ikan Ekor Kuning. Teknologi penangkapan ikan tepat guna yang dapat dikembangkan di Gugus Pulau VIII Kepulauan Kei yaitu Mini Purse Siene, Jaring Insang Hanyut, Jaring Insang Lingkar dan Pancing Ulur. Usaha komoditas perikanan tangkap unggulan di Gugus Pulau VIII Kepulauan Kei, secara finansial layak dilaksanakan. Kata Kunci : Komoditas unggulan, perikanan tangkap, Gugus Pulau VIII

Abstract

The waters on the Village Suli and Tial have abundant gastropods and are always use as food and decorative materials by the local community. The purpose of this study was to find out species and potential of gastropods in the waters of Village of Suli and Tial. The study uses the line transsect method. The species of gastropods obtained in the waters of Suli Village as many as 611 individuals and Tial as many as 172 induviduals. The waters of Suli Village there are 8 species of gastropod and Tial 16 species of gastropod which can be used for consumption or as raw material for decoration. ABSTRAK Perairan Negeri Suli dan perairan Negeri Tial mempunyai potensi kelimpahan gastropoda dan selalu dugunakan untuk konsumsi dan bahan baku hiasan. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui jenis dan potensi jenis gastropoda di perairan Negeri Suli dan perairan Negeri Tial. Penelitian ini menggunkan metode transek garis. Jenis gastropoda yang ditemukan di perairan Negeri Suli sebanyak 611 individu dan Negeri Tial sebanyak 172 individu. Perairan Negeri Suli ditemukan 8 jenis gastropoda dan perairan Negeri Tial ditemukan 16 jenis gastropoda yang dapat dikonsumsi atau menjadi bahan baku hiasan. Abstract

The increase in urbanization in the last decades has produced and increase in discharges of domestic and industrial waste. During this period, detergents have become a severe problem in aquatic systems. These substances are rarely found in concentrations lethal to aquatic organisms, however they cause stress and interfere with their fitness. The aims of the study were to know the effect of surfactant on the frequency of openings operculum and survival rate of Grass carp (Cyprinus carpio). It was carried out from February-March 2018 at Sea farming Laboratory, Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty, Pattimura University. Experimented fish was given to different concentrations of detergent. The experimental design was used Completely Randomized Design with three treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were : (A) Control, B (Detergent 0,005 mg/l), C (Detergent 0,01 mg/l) and D (0,015 mg/l). Data was collected every 7 days. Observed parameters were frequency of openings operculum, survival rate and water quality parameters (temperature, pH and DO). The results showed that different concentrations of detergents has effects on frequency of opening operculum and survival rate. The increasing of detergent concentration resulting in decreasing of frequency opening operculum and survival rate. The lowest frequency opening operculum was on D treatment (0,015 mg/l) which was 26 times/minute and survival rate was 50%. Water quality during the research was in normal range namely temperature (26,1-26,4°C), pH (7,42-8,68 ) and DO (3,5-5,1 mg/l). ABSTRAK Peningkatan jumlah penduduk mengakibatkan permasalahan lingkungan yang salah satunya berdampak terhadap meningkatnya deterjen setiap hari. Deterjen memiliki dampak terhadap kesehatan lingkungan karena selain menimbulkan busa di permukaan air juga menghambat difusi udara bebas ke dalam kolom air dan akan berdmapak pada organisme yang hidup di kolom air. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh deterjen terhadap frekuensi bukaan operkulum dan kelangsungan hidup ikan mas (Cyprinus carpio). Penelitian diakukan pada bulan Februari-Maret 2018 di laboratorium Seafarming Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kekautan Unpatti. Penelitian bersifat observasi dan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan tiga perlakukan yaitu (A) kontrol, B (deterjen 0,005 mg/l), C (deterjen 0,01 mg/l) dan D (deterjen 0,015 mg/l). Parameter yang diteliti yaitu frekuensi bukaan operkulum, mortalitas ikan dan parameter kualitas air (suhu, pH dan DO). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan konsentrasi deterjen berdampak terhadap frekuensi bukaan operkulum dan kelangsungan hidup ikan mas. Semakin tinggi konsentrasi deterjen akan menurunkan frekuensi bukaan operkulum dan kelangsungan hidup ikan mas (C. carpio). Frekuensi bukaan operkulum terendah ditemukan pada perlakukan D (0,015 mg/l) yaitu 26 kali/menit, begitu pula dengan kelangsungan hidup yaitu 50%. Parameter kualitas air selama penelitian berada pada kisaran normal yaitu suhu (26,1-26,4°C), pH (7,42-8,68 ) dan DO (3,5-5,1 mg/l).
