Abstract

Mathematical problems are generally closely related to daily life. The problem is very important given to elementary school students because in general the story can be used to train students in solving problems. Solving stories can be used as a problem-solving strategy, although the question of mathematics is not necessarily a problem-solving question. The ability needed to solve the story problem is not only skill ability and maybe certain algorithm but also other ability that is ability to make plan and strategy that will be used in reaching completion. In addition, learning about the mixed story can also train the learners in their learning ability related to the three aspects of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Therefore, the ability of teachers as educators either personal or professional should take precedence. However, in reality, the teaching-learning process that is implemented tends to passively, where the concepts obtained by learners are still centered on the teacher. So it is necessary to find an alternative learning that can improve student learning outcomes. The constructivism approach is one of the proper approaches used in mathematics learning about mixed counts. Because, according to the expert view of constructivism, every learner has a role in determining what is learned. Emphasis is given to learners in order to form skills and knowledge by linking past experience with future use. Learners are not only given emphasis on facts or concepts but also given emphasis on the process of thinking and communication skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the use of value model clarification technique games on learning civics and knowing student learning outcomes. The method used in this research is correlation method. The collect data by observation, questionnaire, and test. Respondents in this study as many as 22 students of grad three Islamic primary school Darul Hufadz Sumedang District West Java Indonesia. To analyze the data used two approaches namely partial analysis and correlational analysis. The result of the analysis shows that value clarification technique games model in civics learning is included in the high category with the average value 3,76. The student learning outcomes subject matter of the importance of self-esteem included in both categories with an average value of 70.90. The relationship between the two is shown by the correlation coefficient of 0.66, which is included in the category enough. The result of t-test at 5% significance level shows the price of t arithmetic (3.933)> t table (1.725). It means Ha accepted that there is a significant positive relationship between value clarification technique games model on learning civics with a student learning outcomes subject matter of the importance of self-esteem. The level of influence of variable X to variable Y by 25%. Thus, apart from the value factor model Clarification Technique Games on learning Civics, it is still there are 75% other factors that affect student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze student learning outcomes before using the method of learning make a match, describe the implementation of learning process Akidah Akhlak material behave commendable using the method of learning make a match, and describe student learning outcomes after using the method of learning make a match on the subjects Akidah Akhlak the material behaves commendable in the fourth class of MIS Cikulu. Make a match is an active learning method to deepen or train the learned material. Students are asked to look for pairs of cards which are answers or specific material questions in the lesson. One of the advantages of this technique is students looking for a partner while learning about a concept or topic in a fun atmosphere. This research uses Classroom Action Research method. Respondents in this study as many as 15 students of class IV MIS Cikulu Sukahurip Village, Pangandaran District, Pangandaran City. Based on the results of data analysis from the evaluation of students on subjects Akidah Akhlak material behave commendably by using the method of learning make a match obtained student learning outcomes in cycle I with an average value of 68.67 and on cycle II with an average value of 88. Thus there is a significant increase in the learning process by using the method of learning make a match on the subject Akidah Akhah material behave commendably between cycles I and II.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to know the application of cooperative learning model of bamboo dance type in learning social studies in every cycle and to know the improvement of student communication skill in every cycle. The method used in this research is classroom action research. Students who made the object of this study is the fifth-grade students of Islamic primary school AlMuawwanah in Subang District West Java Indonesia, which amounted to 30 consisted of 21 men and 9 women. The data collection techniques using teacher and student observation sheets and performance assessment sheets. The results of this study showed that the application of cooperative learning model of bamboo dance type can improve students' communication skills. The result of precycle student communication skill assessment is 42,83%. In the first cycle increased by 56.83% and more increased in cycle II reached 66.67%. The highest achievement occurred in the third cycle of 86.17%. This study shows that communication skill of grade 5 students of Islamic primary school in Al-Muawwanah has increased during the implementation of cooperative learning model of bamboo dance type in each cycle. The activities of teachers and students in the learning process also increased in every cyle.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the cognitive achievement of students before using cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) and to know the learning activities undertaken by teachers and students using the NHT model on science subjects. The research describing the picture of the process of learning science by using cooperative learning model NHT, and describe the cognitive learning outcomes of students after using NHT. The methodology in this research is the Classroom Action Research comprising the steps of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection that lasted for two cycles, with the subject of fifth-grade students of Islamic primary school Sirojul Subang district West Java Indonesia with 27 students, consisting of 13 girls and 14 boys. Based on the results of research analysis that the implementation of NHT model is well-implemented student cognitive learning outcomes in the first cycle obtained an average value of 76 with 74% learning completeness and in cycle II obtained an average value 91 with 100% complete learning. Thus there is a significant improvement in the learning process using cooperative learning model type Numbered Heads Together on science subjects.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain empirical evidence about the use of cooperative models of Team Games Tournament to increase the ability of students on solving problems with the summation material fractions. To achieve these objectives, the research carried out in the form of an experiment by comparing the problem solving ability of students to the material sum of fractions through the use cooperative model of TGT and students who received conventional learning. The design is a pretest-posttest control group design. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling technique. The instrument used is to use tests that pretest and posttest. The data were analyzed quantitatively for the results of the pretest, posttest, and normalized gain value. Based on data analysis in this study we concluded that there are differences in problem solving ability of students to the material sum of fractions through the use of cooperative models of Team Games Tournament with students who studied with conventional models, and improved problem solving abilities of students in the material that follows the fractional summation cooperative learning of TGT better than students who take the conventional learning model. Therefore, the ability of solving problems of students at grade material fractions summation cooperative modeled of TGT has increased quite good.

Abstract

This study is based on theoretical study which states that the high of the students 'learning outcomes in IPS subjects is influenced by the students' responses to The Learning Cell model. The purpose of this research is to know: (1) Reality of student responses to The Learning Cell model; (2) The reality of their learning outcomes on IPS subjects of the subject of the proclamation of independence of the Republic of Indonesia; (3) Reality of student response relation to cooperative learning model of The Learning Cell type with their learning result in IPS subject. The method used is descriptive method. Data collection techniques with interviews, observation and dissemination of questionnaires and tests. The sample in this study were 22 students. Correlation analysis of both variables using product moment correlation technique, because both variables are normal distribution and regresinya linear. From the results of the analysis, it is known that students' responses to the cooperative learning model of The Learning Cell types fall into the high category with an average value of 3.97. The results of their study on IPS subjects included into the category enough with an average value of 65.54. There is a significant positive relationship between students' responses to the cooperative learning model of The Learning Cell type in relation to their learning outcomes on IPS subjects of the subject of the proclamation of independence of the Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Gallery Walk model to improve student learning activities on art subjects of ornamental motifs in 5th grade MI Al-Manar Cianjur. This research uses classroom action research method consisting of two cycles, each cycle there are two actions with the stages of activity planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results of the study: for cycle 1 and cycle 2 there are two actions, then the results of both actions are accumulated. Based on the data analysis, the result of the research shows that there is influence from the application of Gallery Walk method to the improvement of student learning activity seen from the percentage of measurement of pre cyclical learning activity of 28.07% with low criterion. Cycle 1 of 62,6% with a good criterion, while cycle 2 equal to 83,3% with a very good criterion. Based on the findings it can be seen that the implementation of Gallery Walk can improve student learning activities on subjects SBK subject of decorative motif type.

Abstract

The research objective of this class action is to determine student learning outcomes before using the media three-dimensional, the use of three-dimensional media, and student learning outcomes by using three-dimensional media on the subject matter of the attitude of harmony and help each other in class III MI Al-Islah. The method used in this research is a classroom action research. The study consisted of III cycles where each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Based on the results obtained can be summarized as follows: 1) student learning outcomes before using a three-dimensional media is still low, with an average value of 70.03 with 46% mastery learning; 2) the use of three-dimensional media in each cycle has risen in the first cycle of teacher activity 44%, cycles II 69%, 81% the third cycle, shile the activity of the first cycle students 42%, 67% the second cycle and the third cycle of 67%; 3) the results of student learning outcomes by using the doll media in each cycle has increased. In the first cycle with an average of 73.21 completeness study 54%, then the second cycle with an average of 76.60 completeness study 82%, and the third cycle reach the average grade is 81.43 with 89% mastery learning.

Abstract

Practically mathematical learning is often carried out through the provision of learning facilities to achieve the goal of skillfully solving the problem. Probably, quite a lot of mathematics learning is done through the provision of learning experiences to find rules or formulas. However, there is not much mathematics learning that provides the learning experience of mathematics along with the values of the learning mathematics developed in each student. In general, this paper writes about what and how to learn maths of value, so as to characterize. In particular, this paper writes about the notion of learning mathematics, characters, and learning mathematics that develop character. This article is to be understood and acted upon by teachers, student prospective teachers, parents, and the general public in increasing knowledge and stimulus in developing the willingness and learning ability and teaching students/children about mathematics.
