Al-Hikmah: Jurnal Fakultas Dakwah dan Ilmu Komunikasi yang diterbitkan kali pertama pada bulan Apil 2009. Sejarah pemilihan nama Al-Hikmah terinspirasi dari “Bayt al-Hikmah” yang menjadi pusat intelektual dan keilmuan pada masa keemasan Islam. Jurnal Al-Hikmah ini bertujuan membangkitkan kemajuan intelektual Islam terutama dalam bidang Ilmu Dakwah dan Ilmu Komunikasi melalui publikasi ilmiah. Jurnal Al-Hikmah ini menerima dan menerbitkan artikel hasil penelitian dalam bidang Ilmu Dakwah dan Ilmu Komunikasi atau yang terkait dengannya. Jurnal Al-Hikmah ini diterbitkan secara berkala setiap bulan April dan Oktober.

Abstract

Badan Wakaf Uang Muhammadiyah (BWUM) West Sumatra is a cash waqf management body by collecting, developing and utilizing the proceeds / surplus of waqf. This study aims to reveal how the process of organizing the BWUM West Sumatra. This type of research is field research, using qualitative methods through a descriptive approach, namely a problem-solving procedure that is investigated by describing or describing the object of research based on the facts that appear as they are. The data sources used are primary data and secondary data from BWUM West Sumatra. The results of this study indicate that the work grouping has been carried out by BWUM West Sumatra, the management assigns jobs based on their abilities and expertise. This work grouping determines the plan of activities to be carried out by the executive through deliberation. Regarding the delegation of authority and responsibility given to the executive, it is determined by the division of labor according to their respective fields. But in its implementation there are still managers who have concurrent positions in carrying out tasks, there are managers who overlap the tasks they are assigned, then there are administrators who are inactive during the management period even though there is a change in management structure. Meanwhile, the working relationship carried out by the BWUM West Sumatra management is not concerned with the success of their own duties, because progress in one area will not give meaning without being accompanied by others in the management of BWUM West Sumatra.

Abstract

The novel is one of the da’wah media which is routinely used by a preacher to influence its mad`u in the implementation and absorption of its mad’u. One of these is Buya Hamka, a scholar, preacher and writer who has produced phenomenal works that relate daily life to Islamic preaching. In his research, the author examines Buya Hamka's novel, Terusir. The expelled novel recounts the twists in the life of a woman who was expelled from her home and separated from her child, slandered as she fell into the nightlife, and forced to kill someone. The research was qualitative and used qualitative content analysis techniques. The researchers classify the da'wah messages in this novel using the messaging theory of Ali Yafie. The result of this research is that the evicted novel contains messages related to life problems, human problems, scientific problems and theological problems.

Abstract

BAZNAS Pariaman City is one of the institutions which aims to receipt and distribution zakat funds. It also has a role to enhance quality education, in particular, for impoverished communities to continue their study. Quality education will influence communities' mindset and behavior in the future so that it takes seriousness from related institutions to play a role in this field. This research focuses on how to empower education carried out through a program called the Program Pariaman Cerdas by BAZNAS Pariaman City. This research uses qualitative methods by describing the phenomena that occur in the field and analyzed them in depth. Data collection methods used were interviews, observation, and documentation. This study reveals that BAZNAS has a specific role in empowering education through the Program Pariaman Cerdas. It has shown through the three programs carried out by BAZNAS in its empowerment processes such as consumptive zakat empowerment, creative consumptive zakat empowerment, and creative productive empowerment.

Abstract

Economic empowerment is seen as an effort to build community power by encouraging, motivating, and raising awareness of its economic potential and striving to develop it. This study aims to reveal how the actual economic empowerment carried out by the management of the Adabiah Employee Cooperative (KOPA) towards its members is analyzed based on the perspective of empowering the Islamic community through the takwin or formation stage, the tanzim or development and structuring stage, and the taudi 'stage or the release stage and independence. This article was prepared using a qualitative method through a field study approach. This article contains forms of cooperative management and the obstacles faced by the management in empowering the economies of members of the Adabiah Employee Cooperative (KOPA). This research is expected to be a reference for cooperative administrators, foundation administrators, and empowerment agents in carrying out economic empowerment for cooperative members, employees and the Islamic society.

Abstract

This research discusses the function of mosques towards Indonesian students in Melbourne Australia. Westall Mosque owned by Indonesian congregation is located in the Melbourne City in Australia which has been established since 1997. This research used a qualitative method with a field approach. The results of this study indicate that the function of the mosque for Indonesian students studying at the Westall Mosque is to make the mosque the center of the Islamic missionary movement in the Melbourne City towards muslims in there. By doing da'wah activities such as tausiyah on Saturdays-Sundays, religious rituals during the month of Ramadan, tahsin for kids and tahsin for adults as well as being a preacher in the implementation of Friday prayers. Then the Westall Mosque is used as the glue of unity for students from Indonesia, holding a mosque open day, which is a national event in Australia which aims to visit the mosque to get to know about Islam.

Abstract

Masjid Raya Nagari Ujung Gading has earned the title as the oldest, largest, grandest mosque and has become a model, but the quality and quantity of congregation do not match the title it carries. In this regard, this study aims to describe the efforts made by the management in prospering Masjid Raya Nagari Ujung Gading. This research is a field research (Field Research), using a qualitative descriptive method, namely a method that describes and describes events in accordance with actual conditions. . The results showed that the efforts made by the management to improve the quality and quantity of congregation at the Nagari Ujung Gading Raya Mosque in the fields of worship, preaching as well as supporting factors and inhibiting factors.

Abstract

Speaking of mosque-based empowerment, then in the perspective of da'wah can be ascertained that the empowerment activity in question is Islamic empowerment and makes the mosque the center of its activities to realize the happiness of Islamic society in a secular and ukhrawi. Besides, the activity can restore the function of the mosque which should not only be a place of worship but also serve as a place of social activities such as empowerment activities. This article was compiled using qualitative methods through a literary study approach. Literature studies are conducted by collecting, reading, and analyzing various literature or references such as books, scientific journals, and various other scientific works related to mosque-based empowerment, da'wah-based empowerment, empowerment preaching, and so on. This article is about; definition of empowerment and da'wah, the nature and function of the mosque, the nature of empowerment and da'wah and discuss in detail mosque-based empowerment from the perspective of da'wah. This study is expected to be a contribution to empowerment agencies especially for scientists and da'wah practitioners who want to realize the welfare of the Islamic community of the world and the afterlife. As a reference for empowerment institutions, religious institutions, and other social institutions to empower the Islamic community to the maximum and sustainable.
