Abstract

Abstract This research aims to find out the increase student learning outcomes on the subject of hidrocarbon with the application of active learning type of Group to Group Exchange (GGE) of grade X at Senior High School 10 Pekanbaru. This type of research is experimental research with data retrieval time from the date of 18 May to 1 June 2013. The samples in this research are students of class X2 as experimental class and class X1 as control class selected after conducting test of homogeneity. Techniques of data collection in this research was to test the homogeneity as initial data on the material previously, documentation, observations, pretest and posttest as final data. Final data analysis in this research using test "t". From the calculations, t count = 4.59 at significant level of 5% obtained t table = 1.66, showing that t count≥ t table so that Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. The magnitude of the average normalized gain <N-GAIN> student learning outcomes experimental class was 0.75 which includes high category, and for the control class is 0.70 which included a middle category. Based on the results of these data analysis, it is concluded that an increase in learning outcomes on the subject of hidrocarbon with the application of active learning type of Group to Group Exchange (GGE) of grade X at Senior High School 10 Pekanbaru. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research was to know the comparison of the scoring techniques number right score and reward score, number right score and punishment, than sample size 30 dan 40 on reliability of the mathematics achievement test. The instrument was used multiple choice form test for High School. Sampling teqniques was cluster random sampling. This research used a static group comparison design. Analyze by using t-test. The research result were (1) there was a the difference between scoring techniques number right score and reward score on reliability of multiple-choice on Mathematics achievement tests, (2) there was a the difference between scoring techniques number right score and punishment score on reliability of multiple-choice on Mathematics achievement tests, (3) for the group of reward score, there was not the difference on reliability of multiple-choice on Mathematics achievement tests between sample size 30 and 40, (4) for the group of punishment score, there was not the difference on reliability of multiple-choice on Mathematics achievement tests between sample size 30 and 40. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe: (1) the difference between the ability to analyze students taught through audio visual media and students taught with conventional VII grade MTsN Sungai Beremas models, (2) the difference between analyzing abilities of students who have high learning motivation who are taught using media audio visual with students who have high learning motivation students who are taught using the conventional VII grade MTsN Sungai Beremas model, (3) the difference between the ability to analyze students who have low learning motivation who are taught to use audio visual media with students who have low learning motivation conventional class VII MTsN Sungai Beremas, (4) interaction between the use of audio-visual media and learning motivation towards the ability to analyze class VII MTsN Sungai Beremas. The theories used are Nurgiyantoro (2010) and Priyatni (2013), Arsyad (2015), and Kompri (2015). This research is quantitative research, the method used is experiment. The study design was a 2x2 factorial anava design. The study population was all seventh grade students, totaling 47 people. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling, namely class VIIA as the experimental class and class VIIB control class. The data analysis technique used the t test and anava using the SPSS version 18 program. The results of the study show the following. (1) There is a significant difference between the ability to analyze students taught through audio visual media and students taught through conventional models, namely tcount> ttable (5,685 > 2,021). (2) There is a significant difference between the ability to analyze students who have high learning motivation who are taught to use audio visual media and students who have high learning motivation who are taught using conventional models, namely tcount> ttable (3,559 > 2,074). (3) There is a significant difference between the ability to analyze students who have low learning motivation who are taught to use audio-visual media with students who have low learning motivation taught by using conventional models namely tcount> ttable (4,796 > 2,080). (4) There is no interaction between audio visual media and learning motivation towards the ability to analyze the short story structure, namely Fcount <Ftable (0,001 < 4,06). Thus, there is the influence of the use of audio-visual media and motivation on the analytical ability of class VII students of MTsN Sungai Beremas, Koto Balingka District, West Pasaman Regency. Abstract

Abstract This research aims to increase students’ motivation through cooperative learning model make a macth method using quation cards and answer cards on chemical bonding material in class X IPA 1 SMAN 2 Singingi. This type of research is research is classroom action research. Carried out in three cycles. The stages of research in each cycle include planning, action, observation and reflection. The research instrument used were observation sheets of student activities and student perception questionnaires. The subjects in this study were students of class X IPA 1 at SMAN 2 Singingi. Which numbered 27 students. From the results of the research observation sheet student’s activity in the first cycle was 55,5, in the second cycle was 77.7%, in the third cycle was 100%. Whilw for the average percentage for the questionnaire perceptions of students in the first cycle was 56,5%, in the second cycle was 66,1%, in the third cycle was 87,4%. From these results it can be concluded that learning using the method of using a question card and answer card on chemical bonding material can increase student learning motivation. Abstract

Abstract The teaching and learning process will be more effective and efficient if supported by the right media. Research has been conducted to see the learning outcomes of students in class XI of SMA 14 by using cassette recording media as an alternative learning media in environmental chemistry material with the subject matter of the subject of environmental pollution. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) which is carried out in class XI students. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests and documentation. The data analysis technique is in the form of qualitative data and quantitative data. The results of data analysis show that classical completeness in the first cycle is 70%. While classical completeness in cycle II is 95%. This means that student learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II increased by 25%. Based on the results of these studies it can be concluded that the application of cassette recordings as an alternative media can improve student learning outcomes in environmental chemistry subject matter of environmental pollution in Padang 14 High School. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determined the effectiveness of the curriculum 2013 implementation in the planning, implementation and evaluation system implemented in chemistry learning at MA PP Syafa’aturrasul Teluk Kuantan. This research is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The population in this study was MA PP Syafa’aturrasul Teluk Kuantan. Sampling refers to the purposive sampling technique. Data collection was obtained through interviews, participant observation, documentation and questionnaires. Respondents consisted of chemistry teachers, Waka. Curriculum and students. The validity of the data is obtained through triangulation of data sources and data retrieval techniques. The data analysis technique used is quantitative analysis using Guttman Scale analysis and qualitative analysis, namely the Miles and Huberman models. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the effectiveness of the 2013 curriculum in learning chemistry at MA PP Syafa’aturrasul Teluk Kuantan runs very effectively or very well. This can be seen from the acquisition of the percentage score of each aspect namely 100% planning aspect, 94% implementation aspect and 100% evaluation aspect, so that the average results of the overall aspects obtained are 96%. Abstract

The research was instigated by the low of students learning motivation. It knowing from the questinnaire of learning motivation. The aimed of this research at knowing the Effect of Implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning Model with environmental media toward students learning motivation on colloid lessson at State Senior High School 3 Pekanbaru. It was experiment research. Simple random sampling was used the technique of collecting the sample. the students of eleventh grade of IPA 1 as experiment group 1 by implementating of contextual teaching and learning with environment media. And the student of eleventh of IPA 3 as experiment group II by implementing of contextual teaching and learning model. The result of analysis showed that everage of student motivation learning at the experiment group 1 was higher than experiment group II was 77.04 > 67.47. both of them were the percentage on high category. The result of anlysis tes by using t-test, t-obseverved was (3.829) > t-table was (1.669). It meant that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. It shows that there was effect of implementation of contextual teaching and learning model with enviromental toward students learning motivation on colloid lessson. Abstract

Abstract This research aimed at knowing and describing the correlation between scientific literacy and student critical thinking skill on Chemical Bond lesson. The research method was Quantitative Descriptive with Correlation Hypothesis testing. This research was administered at Vocational High School of Telkom Pekanbaru. The subjects of this research were the eleventh-grade students. The objects of this research were scientific literacy and student critical thinking skill on Chemical Bond lesson. The instruments of collecting the data were Chemical Bond questions based on scientific literacy indicators and critical thinking skill. The questions and questionnaire were stated worthy, if they passed valid aspects. The validity could be seen from validity result by using validation sheet. The technique of analyzing the data was Product Moment Correlation with SPSS 21.0 program. Based on the research findings, it was obtained that there was a significant difference between scientific literacy and student critical thinking skill on Chemical Bond lesson at Vocational High School of Telkom Pekanbaru. The Hypothesis was analyzed by using Pearson Product Moment Correlation with α that was 0.05. The correlation coefficient was 0.910 with probability that was 0.000. It meant that there was a positive correlation between scientific literacy and student critical thinking skill on Chemical Bond lesson. Abstract

Abstract This research aimed at knowing the level of validity and practicality students workbook SETS (Science, Environment, Technology and Society) Based on Colloid Lesson. It was a Research and Development (R&D) Method with 4-D Model. It was administered at State Senior High School 1 East Kampar. Subject of this research were Media design expert, Learning material expert, Chemistry teacher and Fifteenth studenst. Object of this research were SETS (Science, Environment, Technology and Society) Based on Colloid Lesson. the Instrument of collecting the data were questionnaire of validity test by the experts and questionnaire of practicality test by taecher and students. student workbook was appropriate, if it was valid and practice aspect qualify.The validity and practicality could be seen from the result of validity and practicality using sheet of validity and practicalisation. student workbook resulting was tested with the validity level was 88.125% (Very valid)and practice was 90.4% (Very practice). The research result indentify that Student Workbook was tested, it appropriate to be an additional teaching teacher at school. Keywords : Student Workbook, SETS, Colloid

Abstract

Atomic Theory was one of learning materials delivered by discussion method. Discussion method was not make students more active in the learning process that caused student had low Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). One of learning strategies that could improve student activity was Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model type. This study aims to reveal the application of TGT learning model could increase percentage of student KKM in atomic theory in class XI IPA Development High School Padang. This type of research is an experiment by comparing the percentage of learning completeness with discussion method and with TGT. The population of this study was all students of class XI IPA Development High School Padang in the 2011/2012 academic year and the research sample was class XI IPA as an experimental class. Learning completeness by using TGT was 51.2% higher than discussion method that has 33.3% learning completeness. Therefore, there was an increase of learning completeness by 17.9% TGT. It means that learning chemistry using the Teams Games Tournament could increase the percentage of students' Minimum completeness criteria (KKM) on the atomic theory in class XI Padang Development High School.
