Abstract

Hospitality is one of the important sectors in the growth of the Indonesian Economy, which it continues to increase each year. But on the other hand it also has a negative impact. The higher use of the hotel, the higher the resource and energy expended to serve the guests of the hotel. This study aims to determine the implementation of sustainable development concept of Hotel A in Surabaya. This hotel is under auspices of the Accor Group, one of international hotel management groups, which already implemented the concept of sustainable development. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher using qualitative analysis techniques to process the primary and secondary data obtained, to find the answer on how far the application of sustainable development at the Hotel A. The research results show that Hotel A has conducted various measures to support sustainable development in several aspects. But they just apply 3 of 7 pillars of ecology as envisioned by the Accor Group. This study shows the aspects of eco-friendly management that can be carried out by a hotel.

Abstract

This paper investigates reliability and availability of a repairable system with two types of failure. Let failure rate and repair rate of [type1, type2] components are assumed to be exponentially distributed. The expressions of availability and reliability characteristics such as the system reliability and the mean time to failure are derived. We used several cases to analyze graphically the effect of various system parameters on the reliability system and availability system.

Abstract

Web services provides a distributed computing architecture, with an emerging way of service oriented architecture (SQA). Here service oriented architecture is an interface to both computer systems and web services. Which implements an interaction with each other in new and different ways. According to service oriented architecture it virtually provides a platform for web services to communicate with each other. As it was an easy way for communicating with both clients and services. Many organizations and companies are either evaluating themselves into an enterprise information architectures, or they are in the process of getting adopt to the web services technology. As web services are platform independent it is playing a major role in the enterprise environment, and currently web services are widely accepted by many companies and organizations. So commonly web services possess some challenges to the enterprise environment. As a part of it web service must be tested before publish into a service oriented architecture. It involves large number of test cases, test scenarios that takes more time and effort. Testing management is needed so that it should control the time effort and should reduce the complexity of web service in a large software system, also in a real time world. Automation testing faces these challenges and fixes these issues. Automation testing has an ability to handle the complexities which are experiencing by the web services in a current environment. This paper presents the automatic testing strategies of a web service and detect the problems between both manual and automation testing. Finally results shows the proper effective report on improving the visibility of testing process based on the web approach to enhance the critical communication among multiple testing groups.

Abstract

Most consumer digital cameras use a single image light sensor which provides color information using color filter array(CFA).This  provided a mosaic images, in which each pixel position contains only one color component in case of Bayer CFA Pattern. This paper produced a CFA hierarchical prediction scheme based on context adaptive coding. In CFA hierarchical scheme, the green pixels were subdivided into two sets .  was encoded by a gray scale conventional method and  was  predicted based on . The red pixels were predicted using both the sets of green pixels and blue pixels were predicted using red and green. The predictors were designed based on direction of the edges in the neighborhood. Using the prediction information, the magnitude of prediction error was also determined and context adaptive arithmetic coding was applied to reduce bits. The simulated results on CFA images showed that the proposed method gives less bits per pixel than the recently developed CFA compression algorithms.

Abstract

Cloud computing is making a big revolution in the field of information technology thereby reducing capital expenditures spent. Computing is delivered as a service enabling effective utilization of computational resources. Certain security issues exist which prevents individuals and industries from using clouds despite its advantages. Resolving such problems may increase the usage of cloud thereby reducing the amount spent for resources. The paper focuses on one of the three service delivery models, Platform-as-a-Service(PaaS). PaaS model, layers in PaaS and PaaS providers are described along with the security issues encountered in PaaS clouds. The issues along with solutions discussed provide an insight into PaaS security for both providers and users which may help in future PaaS design and implementation.

Abstract

Text Summarization is a process that is to give the shorter version of a text document. For many research scholars who want to do their research on a specific domain has to search a lot of documents on that topic related to a specific domain. It is also difficult to go through the lot of the research papers present  in that particular domain which takes a lot of time at this moment of time there are  lots of chances in missing some key words present in those research papers.  So that Summarizer is used to give the summary of a paper. The aim of our project is to reduce the body of the text and maintaining coherence and avoiding redundancy. Winnowing is an algorithm that gives the coherence between the multiple papers when multiple papers are given as the input. Redundancy that is the repeated words or sentences can be avoided using the MMR algorithm.
