Abstract

In the motor vehicle insurance market, insurance companies need to know an estimate of the number of claims and the value of compensation they will face in the next policy period, and need to estimate the aggregate payment. In this study, the number of claims is assumed to have a Poisson distribution and the compensation value is assumed to be of a Lognormal distribution. Bayesian sensibilities will be used in shaping the predictive distribution of aggregate payments. Therefore, the Gamma distribution is used as the prior Poisson distribution, while the prior distribution of Lognormal is the Inverse χ ^ 2 distribution and the Normal distribution. The purpose of this paper is to provide an estimate of adequate reserve funds for motor vehicle insurance companies. Estimates of reserve funds are obtained from percentiles of the distribution of aggregate payments. Monte Carlo simulation techniques are used to estimate the aggregate distribution of payments. The test results show that the Poisson and Lognormal models are suitable in modeling the real data used in this paper. The simulation results from the predictive distribution show that the 95th percentile is IDR 404,368,169, so that this value can be used as an estimate of adequate reserve funds. The results of this study are expected to provide new information that is useful for motor vehicle insurance companies when estimating adequate reserve funds.

Abstract

An innovation product is known to have a relatively shorter lifecycle compared to a functional product. Innovations made by manufacturers accelerate the obsolescence of innovative products, so producers need to work together with their suppliers with flexible patterns. Suppliers always achieve efficiency and minimize the risk of unsold inventory, while innovative mobile phone manufacturers are constantly releasing new products. Flexible cooperation that can be implemented is non-equity and leads to joint collaboration, so that suppliers and cellphone companies can jointly maintain business continuity. Communication and participation are the keys to the success of this collaboration. This article provides a framework that shows the relationship between the product lifecycle and the pattern of cooperation between suppliers and cellphone manufacturers that can be developed into further research.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the disclosure of social performance or corporate social responsibility in Islamic banking using the Sharia Enterprise Theory concept approach. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis method. The data collection technique uses library research and documentation research. While the data processing technique was performed using qualitative data analysis with Miles and Huberman's model. The results of this study indicate that the level of disclosure of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) based on Sharia Enterprise Theory (SET) at PT. Bank Muamalat Tbk (Bank Muamalat Indonesia) during the 2011-2015 period received a very good predicate.

Abstract

This research was motivated by problems related to Islamic Marketing and Corporate Image of Luwak White Koffie especially in the city of Garut. Based on the overall pre survey results on consumers of Luwak White Koffie, it is known that consumers have not shown maximum satisfaction and have not shown loyalty to Luwak White Koffie products and even show a tendency to shift to competitor products, which is based on the author's opinion due to intense competition in Indonesian coffee industry. This study aims to determine the effect of Islamic Marketing and Corporate Image on Customer Loyalty through Customer Satisfaction of Luwak White Koffie, especially those who lived in the city of Garut. This study uses a quantitative method with a type of descriptive and causal research. Sampling method in this research uses non probability sampling specifically purposive sampling, with number of respondents as many as 100 peoples, while the data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis techniques and path analysis. Descriptive analysis result shows that the Islamic Marketing, Corporate Image, Customer Satisfaction are in the good category, while the Customer Loyalty is in a fairly good category. Result of the calculation of path analysis shows that Islamic Marketing and Corporate Image variables jointly influences Customer Loyalty through Customer Satisfaction Luwak White Koffie.

Abstract

An establishment has a lot of resources, and human resources is one of the resources. Human resource is the most crucial asset for the company, because human resource is the one which determines the success of the company. This research is intended to find out the implementation of carrier planning at PT. X. The method used in this research is descriptive. Techniques of data collecting used are bibliography study, interviewing, and distributing questionnaires. While for reprocessing the questionnaire, researchers used Likert Scale. The sampling technique used is census sampling technique, out of 20 employees of The Human Resource Department at PT. X. The result of research shows that the implementation of carrier planning at PT. X is generally good. Organization appraisal about the ability and capability of the employee is in good criteria, but in individual performance appraisal about interest of employees, career needs, and career goals, the organization role in giving the career information to the employees, and the organization role in giving the career counselling to the employees are in bad criteria. The four mentioned things show that the implementation of career planning has not been optimum.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a view that business development is an important factor for a company in order to survive in the fierce business competition. Business development can be obtained if the company can improve entrepreneurial orientation and understand the characteristics of the company. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of entrepreneurial orientation and company characteristics on business development in the Small and Medium Agro Industries that have Industrial Registry Numbers in Garut Regency. This research is a descriptive and verification research. Descriptive research is used to describe respondents' perceptions of entrepreneurial orientation variables, company characteristics and business development. Verification research is used to determine the effect of entrepreneurial orientation variables and company characteristics on business development. This survey involved 81 Agro-Sector IKMs that had Industrial Registry Numbers. The sampling technique used simple random sampling. Data collection was carried out through interviews, questionnaires and surveys. The data analysis used was the Partial Least Square (PLS) statistical approach. The results show that of the three research variables descriptively all of the criteria are quite high. The influence of entrepreneurial orientation and company characteristics on business development shows a significant positive effect.
