Abstract

Empowerment of the Former of Female Migrant Workers through Garden Utilization and Ginger Processing into Economic Value Products A number of the productive women in Desa Kadirejo of Kabupaten Semarang have to work as female migrant workers (FMWs) who working abroad. Although this choice is economically profitable, these conditions also emerge several negative impacts on the family and society. Woman role as a wife and a mother becomes less optimal. Moreover, having finished as FMW, generally, most of the women were lack of productive skills. Thus, this program aimed to empower the former of FMWs through the optimization of home gardens and ginger processing to become economic value products. This activity was conducted in Desa Kadirejo, Kabupaten Semarang, Jawa Tengah, from July to September 2019. The steps of the activity were the problem and potential observation; socialization about the potential of home garden and cultivation method; vegetable cultivation practices and providing vegetable seeds; processing instant herbal from ginger; packaging and labeling training; and training of marketing mix. This activity was significantly able to provide life skills for the former of FMWs. The participants produced the ginger instants product, which was readily sold. Also, the former of FMWs had a skill for managing the home garden. In conclusion, by utilizing local resources, the former FMWs will be able to develop a business tant could support family finances without leaving the promary responsibility as wife and mother.

Abstract

Web Content Management Using Wordpress, Canva and Photoshop for Teachers of the Jakarta Region The web is a tool that has been widely used to share information with the public. However, in managing the content, not a few parties who do not know how to do it well, including high school and vocational school teachers. Therefore, WordPress-based web content management training is applied to the teachers to assist them in running and managing the web. The training began with the provision of material on designing logos and banners using Photoshop and Canva, then practice how to register domains and training in making e-commerce with WordPress Content Management System. From the results of the training evaluation questionnaire, as many as 69% of participants were satisfied in delivering the material and 100% stated that web management training was needed to be learned and applied in schools.

Abstract

Utilization of Citronella Waste as Animal Feed and Organic Fertilizer in Payakabung Village, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Lemongrass is an essential plant that is easy to cultivate. Many farmers in Payakabung village cultivate it. There are 3 units of lemongrass essential refineries with a capacity of 2 tons per day, which produce 6 tons of citronella fragrant waste every day or 180 tons every month. The production of Citronella Waste is a problem in the area around the distillation plant, so a solution to this problem is needed. Utilization as animal feed and organic fertilizer is a solution that can be done, but the knowledge of farmers about the technology of utilizing citronella waste is still low, so it is necessary to carry out farmer assistance activities regarding the use of citronella waste as feed and organic fertilizer. activities carried out include coordination with the village government, training, discussion and evaluation. The results of this activity show the lack of knowledge of farmers about the use of citronella waste, the use of which is only done as mulch in rubber gardens. this activity increases the knowledge of farmers to use other citronella waste. This activity is expected to have an impact on reducing the citronella waste that has accumulated in Payakabung village.

Abstract

In this globalization era, the role of the concept in schools is very important. Therefore, this individual counseling training activity was carried out. This individual counseling service training activity was aimed to increase the understanding of counselors at Muhammadiyah Integrated Junior High School Bengkulu in conducting individual counseling. The methods used in this training were lectures, questions and answers, discussions, and practices. Participants involved in this training were counselors at Muhammadiyah Integrated Junior High School Bengkulu. The results of the training for individual counseling services went well, they were shown from the results of the questionnaire before being given training for individual counseling services in the category of not understanding with a percentage of 28.70%. After the training in individual counseling services was given to the students, there was enhancement in understanding of counselors in conducting individual counseling. They were in understanding category, and they were able to do good counseling practices with an achievement percentage of 89.81%.

Abstract

Assistance of Prospective Preacher Cadres at Universitas Prof. Dr. Hazairin SH Bengkulu Universitas Prof. Dr. Hazairin, SH Bengkulu (Unihaz) has a vision to become a lively, religious and excellent university in the implementation of the tridharma of higher education. Jum'at religi (Juri) is a student development program to create a religious atmosphere in campus life. This activity is integrated with Islamic religion courses by adding 1 credit for practicum. Efforts to reduce dependence with third parties in the implementation of the Juri, the ability of students, who are members of the Islamic Spirituality Unihaz Student Activity Unit, needs to be improved to become Juri guides from an early age. The aim of this program was to produce campus da'wah cadres who are ready to become the driving force for preaching on the Unihaz campus. Community service activities were carried out by means of training and guidance to read Al-Qur'an (tahsin) and worship training. Guidance was carried out periodically with the frequency of one meeting a week. The results that have been achieved from this program were that there was an increase in Islamic understanding and the ability to read the Al-Qur'an and the implementation of worship for participants, there is an increase in the activity of participants in participating in spiritual organization programs, there is an increase in the activity of participants to pray at mosques, and an increase in the number of participants. internal mentor in the implementation of the Juri program.
