<![CDATA[Rabies is a zoonotic disease that has been known for a long time. This infection attacks the central nervous system with the main sign of progressive paralysis and ending in death. Transmission can occur when humans are bitten by animals infected with rabies. Some animals can transmit rabies, especially dogs and cats. In commemoration of World Rabies Day, the Food, Animal Husbandry and Animal Health Office of West Kalimantan Province provides free services in the form of rabies vaccination and dog and cat sterilization. This activity is not only aimed at providing rabies vaccination services for dogs and cats in the vicinity of Pontianak and Kubu Raya, but also at the same time educating pet owners about rabies. Data collection was carried out by observing and documenting activities. Data analysis was carried out in descriptions that describe the process of activities. This activity was carried out in the Hall of the Food, Animal Husbandry and Animal Health Service of West Kalimantan Province on September 26, 2020. Of the target 100 doses can only be given as many as 71 doses consisting of 54 doses for cats and 17 doses for dogs, while sterilization was successfully carried out on 15 individuals. Cats and 15 dogs. Vaccination, which is usually given to rabies-infected animals, is a very effective preventive measure. Through the sterilization program, it is hoped that it can reduce the overpopulation of dogs and dogs.]]>

<![CDATA[Kegiatan Charity Week tahun 2021 dilaksanakan di Panti Asuhan Wisma Anak-Anak Harapan, Dalung. Program kerja yang diterapkan dalam kegiatan ini salah satunya adalah kegiatan pengajaran (tutoring) dalam bentuk pemberian edukasi kepada anak-anak Panti Asuhan Wisma Anak-Anak Harapan khususnya yang sedang di bangku Taman Kanak –Kanak – Sekolah Dasar mengenai dasar (basic) pengucapan salam pertemuan dan salam perpisahan dalam bahasa Inggris atau disebut dengan Greetings dan Partings. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengajaran ini adalah untuk meningkatkan minat dan juga memotivasi anak-anak Panti Asuhan Wisma Anak-Anak Harapan untuk belajar bahasa Inggris. Dari kegiatan tersebut dapat terlihat anak-anak panti memiliki jiwa semangat dan bersungguh-sungguh dalam menerima edukasi tersebut, kemampuan mereka mengucapkan salam dalam bahasa Inggris pun terlihat meningkat. Dari penerapan kegiatan pengabdian tersebut anak – anak Panti Asuhan Wisma Anak-Anak Harapan sangat bersemangat dalam mempelajari bahasa Inggris karena setelah diedukasi dan diberikan beberapa quiz terkait materi yang telah diberikan, serta diadakannya bimbingan belajar, kemampuan bahasa Inggris mereka mengalami peningkatan khususnya dalam bidang pengucapan salam serta mereka menjadi antusias untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan pengetahuan mereka khususnya dalam bahasa Inggris.]]>

<![CDATA[Every teacher has their own unique experiences and stories in helping their students to achieve their best in studying. Those experiences would be very beneficial if they can share those best practices to other teachers and educational practitioners. Unfortunately, it is hindered for teachers do not write those good practices in a best practice article because of particular reasons, including their lack of skill for writing such article. This paper aims to report a community service in form of a training on writing a manuscript attended by the English local teacher forum coming from various cities in South Kalimantan, Indonesia. Eighteen participants were participated in this one-month training. The program was divided into two types of activities, namely training and mentoring. The training was conducted in one day aimed to introduce and to analyse samples of good articles, which were accepted in reputable international journals, so the participants could learn the characteristics and the structure of the good articles. Meanwhile, the mentoring was carried out for one month in form of weekly virtual mentoring to guide the participants write their articles step-by-step. Questionnaire and interview were utilized to record the data regarding the evaluation of the program. The findings show that the teachers got benefit from this mentoring. They understand what a best practice article is and how to write it. In the end of the program, two out of five teams successfully completed the mentoring and published their article in a national journal. Some barriers during the training and mentoring are also discussed in this article.]]>

<![CDATA[During the COVID-19 pandemic, learning is carried out online. Online innovation-based learning is very different from conventional learning that occurs in schools. Teachers and students are not face to face but remotely, allowing teachers and students to be in different places, with different commitments and skills in operating technology. On the other hand, learning competencies must be owned by students. “Framework for 21st Century Learning” describes four competencies or fields that students must master which include 1) core subjects and 21st century themes, 2) learning and innovative skills, 3) information, media and technology skills and 4) life and career skills. The problems found in the field are the lack of innovation in geography learning media, both face-to-face and online and the low utilization of technology by geography teachers at SMA/MA Padang Panjang City. The limitations of learning tools owned by students are problematic themselves. High school students have smartphones with limited capacity, so they are only ideal for using mobile learning. Technology must be used strategically to benefit students. Based on these conditions, the service team felt the need to contribute in overcoming these problems, it needed a training to develop innovative learning media based on Augmented Reality (AR) and the use of platforms or MOOCs in geography subjects. The training is project-based, meaning that the end of the training is the formation of Augmented Reality-based geography learning media that can be used by teachers in learning. The implementation of this PKM will be a solution to the problems faced by geography teachers regarding the use of Augmented Reality (AR)-based technology in geography learning.]]>

<![CDATA[Plastic is an element that is widely used in modern human life. There are many benefits of using this plastic but it also brings harm. Plastic waste can pollute the environment, both land and sea and this is very dangerous for human survival. Therefore, efforts need to be made to reduce the amount of plastic waste, one of which is by processing plastic bottle waste into accessory products such as necklaces, bracelets, earrings, mask connectors and so on.Techniques that can be used in the exploration of plastic bottles, especially hard and soft plastic types to become accessories, are simple fabrication methods, including cutting, heating, softening, bending, and forming.. The method used in this service consists of 2 stages, namely the counseling stage by explaining the importance of processing plastic waste and showing examples that have been made and the training stage. With this method, it is hoped that the training participants will get a better picture and be able to be creative. This training activity was carried out in RT 6 RW 2 Lowokwaru Malang with the target participants being young women and housewives. One of the results of this training is a mask connector which is currently very much needed so that it can be sold and can increase skills and family income.]]>

<![CDATA[Eco-enzyme is a natural liquid made from waste in the form of fruit peels. The manufacturing process is very easy, it only requires water, brown sugar, cane sugar and molasses as well as fruit peels that have become waste for the community. The purpose of this service activity is to provide training in processing waste into products that can be used for the community. The method of service activities is in the form of a demonstration training method. The training participants consisted of 20 people who joined the group of Mrs. PKK Gampong Kuala Langsa, West Langsa District, Langsa City. The results of this activity at the survey stage carried out by the service team obtained permission from Mr. Geuchik to carry out service activities in Kuala Langsa Village. The socialization stage is to determine the schedule of activities and the number of participants who are given the training. The implementation phase of the activity is that the team conducts training to make eco-enzyme products for PKK. The evaluation phase of the team monitors the extent to which the product has been produced from the eco-enzyme manufacturing process. The conclusion of the service activities from distributing community satisfaction questionnaires, especially mothers who joined the PKK group were stated to be satisfied with a score of 41%, so this activity had a positive and useful impact.]]>

<![CDATA[Bukittinggi as a tourism industry, no wonder many local and foreign tourists who visit this city.Tourists who have traveled long distances to this city want to enjoy their vacation and the beauty of Bukittinggi City by releasing fatigue, with a fitness massage service. The many questions and requests of tourists visiting Bukittinggi City in terms of fitness massage services make a promising business opportunity for the people of Bukittinggi City, especially for the people of Guguak Panjang District which is right in the heart of Bukittinggi City. The method of implementing the activity is in the form of training and direct discussions about Circulo Massage and Sport Massage in the Guguak Panjang District community and continued with online monitoring and evaluation of exercises in an effort to train community skills to answer requests from tourists visiting Bukittinggi City. The number of training participants was 26 people consisting of cadre representatives from 7 Kelurahan in Guguak Panjang District. This activity was carried out on August 19, 2021. The results of the training activities showed that it increased the knowledge and skills of the people of Guguak Panjang District in Circulo Massage and Sport Massage.]]>

<![CDATA[The craft of woven skin is one of the typical handicrafts of Lombok. In Batu Mekar Village, there are around 600 people who work as craftsmen of weaving. The main problem faced by plaited woven entrepreneurs is related to financial management. This service activity aims to provide an understanding of the importance of making financial records and bookkeeping. Methods of implementation of service activities used in this service, namely observing how the knowledge of woven businessmen about recording and accounting of their business finances, socializing the importance of carrying out financial records and bookkeeping in running a business and providing understanding and training on the importance of carrying out financial records and bookkeeping in running effort. The result of this activity, namely the bookkeeping and financial recording training activity, is like a breath of fresh air for local entrepreneurs and craftsmen, how can the efforts made in this activity provide a broad description of how to diversify the process of moving downstream of the weaving tack. From this dedication activity, the craftsmen groups are not eager to seriously form groups in order to maximize the results of their efforts.]]>

<![CDATA[The Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia is increasing until the end of 2020, this is due to a lack of public understanding to overcome the spread transmission of the Covid-19 virus, including as wearing masks, keeping a safe distance, and maintaining good hand hygiene. Awareness of this behavior is very low in orphanages so that it may accelerate the transmission of the Covid-19 virus. Therefore, it is necessary to provide Communication, Information and Education (CIE) related to preventing the transmission of the Covid-19 virus to residents of orphanages in the area around Panyileukan District, Bandung City, West Java. This activity was carried out in two orphanages located in the area for two months. The activity began with the creation of information media, knowledge surveys, cadre training, Covid prevention education, making hand sanitizers and disinfectants, and final evaluation. The result showed that there is a relationship between knowledge and actions after being given CIE methods in orphanages to avoid the transmission Covid-19.]]>

<![CDATA[The Covid-19 pandemic that has entered Indonesia has had a negative impact on the community's economic sector. The economic sectors affected by this pandemic are generally small and medium-sized businesses that have experienced a decline in sales turnover. In an effort to deal with and survive in the Covid-19 pandemic situation, business actors are required to innovate and be creative in selling their business products. The rengginang business actor in Rowoindah village, Jember is one of the businesses affected by Covid-19 and has experienced a decline in sales turnover. Therefore, in this activity, assistance will be provided to help Rengginang business actors survive and develop through product innovation training into various flavors and sales through digital marketing. After the activity was carried out, the Rengginang business actors felt a positive impact for their future business development.]]>
