Abstract

In this paper, we study the existence of fixed point of the φ-weak contraction mapping in the complete partial metric space for multivalued mapping. Distance calculations are performed using Hausdorff metric. The result obtained in this paper is an extension of similar result for single valued mapping.

Abstract

In this paper, probabilistic models are developed from a dynamical model of tuberculosis transmission based on a Galton-Watson branching and Negative Binomialdistribution generation with weighted probability estimation used to test an extinction model of mycobacterium germ. The values of model parameters were obtained from the medical record data at Puskesmas Kota Medan : 31 tuberculosis patients treated during February-August 2015, with 25 sensitive samples, 3 samples of RI degree, 2 samples of RII degree, and 3 samples of RIII degree. Data analysis using Galton-Watson theorem revealed the extinction point of resistant malaria parasites, that is s = 1. The successful transmission of mycobacterium bacteria is 36 people per year. The extinction probability of mycobacterium bacteria that is resistant to anti-tuberculosis drugs is ϕNB = 1.

Abstract

Orange fruits are important commodities in Indonesia. However, the efforts to increase production of oranges still have obstacles. One of them is because ofCVPD (Citrus Vein Phloem Degeneration) disease. The spread of CVPD disease in orange plants can be modeled by mathematical model, that is epidemic model betweenorange plants as a host plant and Diaphorina Citri as a vector. In this model, predation response follows Holling Type II response function. The model is then analyzed by checking the stability of the equilibrium point and computing basic reproduction number. This model has an endemic equilibrium point. If the basic reproduction number is more than one then an endemic equilibrium point is locally asymptotic stable or epidemic which means that it occurs in the population. The simulation result of the model are in good agreement with the model behavior analysis.

Abstract

PT. JKL has a role as a main dealer of T’s brand are handling three types of motorcycle products in West Java. These are type of Sport, CUB, and Scooter(Automatic Transmissions). The company records the buyer of T’s brand motorcycle in the Customer Database (CDB). CDB collected from 2011 to 2013 yielded information of consumer characteristics which is necessary in market planning. Consumer characteristics are classified into two groups: Repeated Order and New Customer. Classification methods used in the study of Data Mining is the Naïve Bayes Classifier. Model classification is done by calculating the conditional probability to choose the greatest value of probability. The accuracy of the classification is 83% and the error classification is 17%.

Abstract

Problem solving ability is main goal of students in learning mathematics. Lectures should be able to improve the ability. This reasearch aimed to describe ability ofstudents at the beginning and end of first semester academic year 2016/2017 in solving mathematical problems. The research subjects were 71 students of mathematicseducation program class of 2016 from one of the universities in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. At the beginning and the end of first semester, each subject was given sixmathematical problems. The problems at the beginning and the end of semester were similar only differently in numbers. The result showed that average score of the students at the beginning and the end of first semester were 7.97 and 9.18 (scale 0 - 24), respectively. The scores increased significantly with a 95% confidence level. Theincreasng caused 8.4% of the students who were classified as naive problem solvers increased their ability becomed routine problem solvers. No students have improved their ability becomed good problem solvers.

Abstract

Poverty is one of the problems that becomes concern in all countries. In Indonesia, one of the provinces that has high poverty rates is Jambi (9.12% in 2015).Result of coordination meeting of all Camat in Jambi Province, reported that the Tabir Barat is the poorest sub-district. The condition is caused mostly by inadequate household infrastructure. Therefore it is necessary for grouping households based on the household infrastructure condition to find the household groups which should be prioritized in the development of poverty alleviation. To describe the poverty variable based on household infrastructure, Bappeda uses 9 indicators, that are residential building status, the widest type of floor, the widest type of wall, the widest type of roof, drinking water source, defecation facility, stool drainage, main lighting and cooking fuel. Because of the folowing reasons: the poverty is an unmeasurable latent variable, and indicators of poverty are categorial variables, the Latent Class Cluster analysis were used in this research as a grouping method. The result shows that there are 5 clusters / latent classeswith their respective characteristics of the household in the Tabir Barat.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. PT. XYZ has a role as the main dealer of motor X in West Java with marketing area in three cities: Bandung, Bekasi and Cirebon. The company survey always held every year about Brand Awareness & Image to users and non user motor X to know the characteristics of consumers. Based on the company report survey there was a decrease in the indicators of Top Of Mind Unit in Cirebon City for the user of 30.8% and for non users of 9.8%. This study aims to determine the characteristics that cause the decline of the Top Of Mind Unit based on the configuration of user characteristics and non user motor X in Cirebon City by using Configural Frequency Analysis (CFA). From the results of data analysis can be seen that there are three configurations of user characteristics and non users that deviate from the base model is formed. These three configurations can be considered in determining the marketing strategy to maintain and improve the Top Of Mind Unit in Cirebon City.

Abstract

Recently Indonesia's oil prices have declined despite oil consumption increases. The decline in Indonesia oil prices is affected by world oil prices. Therefore, the aim of this research is to predict WTI-type world oil price using Box-Jenkins method for non seasonal ARIMA modeling and how big does it influence to Indonesia oil price. WTI world oil price predictions for January to December 2017 are 54.17035, 54.89475, 55.12885, 55.20406, 55.22817, 55.23590, 55.23837, 55.23916, 55.23942, 55.23950, 55.23953, and 55.23953 dollars per barrels, respectively. Then the magnitude of the effect of WTI world oil prices to Indonesia oil prices is 1.735229 dollars per barrels.

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelagic country where 2/3 of its territory is ocean. The vastness of Indonesia's oceans is expected to produce abundant sea products that can meet the needs of Indonesian consumers, especially fish. Adequacy of the amount of fish consumption can be assessed through the number of fish catch. Based on data at the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries in 2015, West Java has a low growth of fish consumption, 6.05% in 2010-2014. Therefore, it is necessary to forecast the results of fish catch for several years ahead so it can be known whether the provision of fish consumption will be fulfilled or not. One method that can be used is Singular Spectrum Analysis (SSA). The SSA method is a flexible method because it uses a nonparametric approach. That is, in its application, this method does not require the model specification of time series data, as well as parametric assumptions. Forecasting accuracy of a method is said to be good if it has a MAPE value less than 20%. MAPE of SSA method forecast is 6.19% so that SSA method is suitable for forecasting of capture fishery production in West Java Province. The forecast for fishery production in West Java Province in 2015 for the first, second, third, and fourth quarter were 53,978.49 Ton, 54,406.91 Ton, 50,889.11 Ton, and 56,896.96 Ton, respectively.

Abstract

. The research studied power and size of normal distribution and its applications on linear regression model. The power and size formulas are derived, and the unrestricted test (UT), restrcited test (RT) and pre-test test (PTT) are used. The recommendation of the test is given by choosing maximum power and minimum size, and also graphical analysis. The result showed that the power and size for large standard deviation () tend to be identical and flat. In simulation study, the graphs of the UT, RT, and PTT are still similar to the previous research (Pratikno, 2012), where the PTT tend to lie between UT and RT.
