Abstract

Darul Falah Islamic Boarding School Jekulo Kudus, one of the Boarding School that encourages every student to sunnah fasting. Various kinds of sunnah fasting that are familiar in society, such as Monday-Thursday fasting, Daud fasting, and Nyirih fasting. Dalā’il fasting known as the sunnah fasting, which is less familiar among the people. Dalā’il fasting is divided into the fasting of Dalā’il al-Khairāt and Dalā’il al-Qurān. The fasting of Dalā’il al-Qurān is fasting that implemented for one full year by reading one juz al-Qur’an every day. Based on the understanding of Dalā’il al-Qurān fast, then this fast falls into the category of dahr fast. Many arguments are used to explain the prohibition on dahr fasting. However, if the hadith is understood in terms of asbābul wurud, then this kind of fasting may be done. The existence of the hadith which prohibits doing dahr fasting is based on the advice of the Rasulullah to ‘Abd Allāh bin ‘Amr.

Abstract

This paper explains about the existence of dowry in the phenomenon of panaik money in the Bugis society, where this practice is different from the concept of dowry in the Qur’an. This research was carried out through phenomenological studies. The study finds that there is the difference between dowry money and panaik money. Mahar itself is a mandatory gift in order to have a woman he wants to marry, even though dowry is not a pillar of marriage. While the panaik money is money for a wedding or an event that is used together for the success of two people being married and witnessed by relatives and friends.

Abstract

This paper discusses the quality of the hadith of Inna Akṡar Ahl al-Jannah al-Bulhu contained in Musykil al-Ᾱtṡār by Imām al-Ṭaḥāwī. Although the quality of the hadith is ḍa‘īf, in terms of observance of the tradition it is ṣaḥīḥ. This paper also dialogues the contradiction between the hadith and the Qur’an, and the resolution of the problem by using the Jam‘ Yūsuf al-Qarḍāwī method and Maḥmūd al-Ṭaḥḥān.

Abstract

This paper discusses the method of criticism of Sanad and Matan. In the Hadith studies,  both aspects are equally important. Sanad is a series of narrators who convey the hadith, while matan is the content / message of the hadith itself. To find out the quality of a hadith we must find out the quality of its transmitters and content. Therefore, this paper is important because it discusses the method of criticism of Sanad and Matan. The source of this paper comes from books/books, and journals that are relevant to the theme of the writing.

Abstract

This paper discusses about al-Ḥawālah, namely the transfer of debt. This study has a very important purpose for the continuation of human interaction in daily life, it is very important for academics to learn about al-Ḥawālah studies in the Qur’an and Hadith, so that it can be used as a source of legal assistance for Muslims. The author can consider al-Ḥawālah, namely the transfer of debt from the debtor (al-mudīn) to others who are burdened with others with a kafālah that can only collect dependents in the hands of the guarantor (kāfil) without being moved, while the debt is still in the responsibility of al-mudīn.

Abstract

This paper discusses the Sufistic nuances of Tafsīr Firdaus al-Na’īm by KH. Taifur Aliwafa. Using the descriptive-analytic method, this literature study answers the question how the author of this tafsir book interprets verses relating to aspects of Sufism, with the case of love verses. This study found that the author of this tafsir in interpreting the verses was influenced by his educational background, where he was trained in the Naqsyabandiyah Ṭarīqa tradition from his position as a student to his position as a murshid.

Abstract

This paper discusses the characteristics, and methods of interpretation of Tarjumān al-Mustafīd. Using the descriptive-analytic method, the study answers the question of how are the characteristics of Tarjumān al-Mustafīd, written by ‘Abd al-Ra’ūf? The writer finds that although the author of this tafsir had served as a mufti during the reign of the Sulṭānah Safiat al-Dīn Tāj al-ʻAlām (1641-1675), but — as far as the writer could observe, no political influence was found in this book of commentary. Moreover, although ‘Abd al-Rā'uf was a mursyīd of the Syattariyah tariqah, he did not give much nuance to his book of tafsir. At the same time, this finding rejects the assumption that Tarjumān al-Mustafīd can be characterized to have sufi nuances in it.
