<![CDATA[As the largest Muslim in the world, the potential to receive zakat is very high, therefore many zakat institutions have emerged as a place to distribute zakat. As Muslims, surely we must choose smartly the ways and places to distribute zakat. Zakat distribution can be done directly or through zakat distribution organizations / institutions. This study aims to compare the financial performance of national scale amil zakat institutions. The method of data analysis in this research is quantitative descriptive analysis based on calculations, by taking the publication of the annual report financial statements of amil zakat institutions on a national scale in 2018. Based on the specified sample criteria, obtained 5 (five) suitable amil zakat financial statements. The data analysis model uses the analysis of nonprofit financial ratios from the research of Ritchie and Kolondinsky (2003). Based on the results of the study it was concluded that all the Amil Zakat institutions studied were performing well. Rumah Zakat Foundation is the best performing amil zakat institution.]]>

<![CDATA[Human resources are needed by companies in carrying out company activities. Because without human resources as the driving force of the company, the company cannot run as it should. Generally organizational commitment is the degree to which an employee identifies himself with a particular organization and its objectives and wishes to maintain its membership in the organization. Competence is an ability for a job or task based on skills and knowledge and is supported by the work attitude required by the job. This study aims to analyze and determine the effect of organizational commitment and employee competence on employee performance at the office of the Directors of PT. Pertani (Persero) Medan. This study uses 2 independent variables, namely organizational commitment and employee competence on employee performance. Data analysis methods used in this study are validity, reliability, classic assumption test, multiple linear analysis, t test, F test and coefficient of determination. The data used are primary data and secondary data. The number of samples in this study were 70 people. Data processing is performed using SPSS 20.0 for Windows. Based on the results of multiple linear regression tests, it can be concluded that the employee competency variable is the variable that most influences on employee performance, where the coefficient value is 0.815. Based on the results of the t test that have been carried out, it is obtained that the variable of organizational commitment and employee competence has a positive and partially significant effect on employee performance. From these results it is concluded that all alternative hypotheses are accepted. Based on the F test results, the calculated F value of 125.812 with a significance level of 0.000, while the F value of the table at alpha 5% is 2.50. Therefore F arithmetic> F table and the significance level of 0,000 <0.05 shows that organizational commitment and employee competencies together are positive and significant effect on employee performance. Based on the determination coefficient test results obtained that the contribution of the value of organizational commitment and employee competence is 79% while 21% is the contribution of other variables not included in this study.]]>

<![CDATA[HIDS (Host Intrusion Detection system) is an application which is intended for monitoring and protecting the host computer system (server) and its network activities. This intrusion detection system is integrated into the server to detect the intruder attack activities and report the events to the network administrator. Throughout the years, different HIDS technology developed to counter, the computer crime with different type of attacks that attempts for entering the computer system. Therefore, the main goal of this paper is to provide a review of a most-widely used HIDS application called OSSEC. The evaluation process is conducted by applying some scenarios that practice the intruder activities who attempts to penetrate the host computer system. Each scenario is designed to run different intruder attacks that come from one or more attacker. Finally, the performance is evaluated by measuring the response time of OSSEC to detect the intrusion, the consumption of CPU and memory while detecting the intrusion.]]>

<![CDATA[The results of urine tests through a forensic laboratory examination are types of evidence not mentioned in Article 184 of the Criminal Procedure Code, but the assessment is the same as visum et repertum, it is the result of expert knowledge on the basis of oath of office as outlined in the form of a letter. So that urine test results can be used as evidence to determine a person becomes a suspect in a narcotic crime in addition to other evidence.The problem in this research is how the Legal Arrangement of Narcotics Abuse, How the Position of Urine Test Results as Evidence in Determining the Status of Suspected Narcotics Users by BNN, What are the Obstacles of BNN in North Sumatra Province in Eradicating Narcotics Abuse. The research method used is through the Normative Juridical approach, this research is normative empirical.The results showed that the Narcotics misuse act was an extraordinary crime and was classified as a special criminal act regulated in a special law namely Law Number 35 Year 2009 concerning Narcotics, in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code that to establish a person as the suspect has a minimum of 2 pieces of evidence, then the National Narcotics Agency which has the authority to conduct an investigation and investigation can use the results of a urine test as one of the legal pieces of evidence. Urine test results can be used as evidence of letters and expert statements because the urine test is carried out by experts in forensic laboratories that are made in writing. Constraints experienced by North Sumatra's National Narcotics Agency in eradicating narcotics crime include the lack of budget, the lack of human resources both in quantity and competence and the lack of facilities and infrastructure owned.]]>

<![CDATA[The aim of this research is to develop the evolution textbook based on research for Simalungun University. Result of development research is a textbook draft which it is validated. Validation process conducted by matter experts, instructional media experts, practitioner, and individual testing by nine students. Validation results of matter expert is 92%, in very valid categories. Validation result of instructional media experts was 92%, in very valid categories. Validation results practitions was 74% in valid enough categories. Individual testing results by students was 81% in valid enough categories. Revision based on validation results in quantitaty and qualitative data.]]>

The writing of this paper uses the literature review method (library research) based on expert opinions and research journals that support the topic of this paper. <![CDATA[A partition on a graph with small number of vertices and edges does not require any complex procedure. Technically, one can find such graph partition by using the eigenvalues of Laplacian matrices given by such graph. The eigenvector corresponding to the second smallest eigenvalue is then used to find the sign of our eigenvector. Later on, these eigenvector is called the Fiedler vector. Furthermore for k-partition graph, we enlarge the concept by finding the third, fourth or bigger eigenvector to obtain three, four or more partitions but in fact there is always used only the second eigenvector.]]>

<![CDATA[Group companies or better known as conglomerates is a topic that always attracts attention, because the uncontrolled growth and development of group companies can lead to a monopoly on a business network. What is meant by a holding company or also called a holding company in Indonesian, is a company that aims to own shares in one or more other companies and / or regulate one or more other companies. Usually, a holding company has many companies engaged in very different business fields. The formulation of the problem in this study is What is the form of responsibility of the parent company for the problems caused by the subsidiary? What is the role and legal position of the parent company in the group of companies? What is the responsibility of the subsidiary company for the parent company if it loses? The research objective is to determine the form of responsibility of the parent company for problems caused by the subsidiary, to know the role and legal position of the parent company in the group of companies, to determine the responsibility of the subsidiary company to the parent company if it incurs losses.The results of this study are the parent company that can be liable for criminal liability for actions or problems committed by its subsidiary companies in the form of liability is the holding company that directly controls the subsidiary company and also actively operates in carrying out business activities. Moral responsibility is the burden of the good name held by the parent company in the business environment. In the event that the subsidiary is negligent or unable to fulfill its achievements, the parent company as the guarantor must repay the debt to the creditor (after demanding that the debtor's property be confiscated and sold to repay the debt). In a group company, every company enters into an agreement / agreement with a third party (creditor), then the company must pay it off without holding any liability to its parent company. If a loss occurs, the company is liability based on an error because the new parent company can be held responsible if it commits an error in the form of a parent company dominance over the subsidiary, an illegal act or breach of contract and an element of loss to another party. The parent company is held responsible if it is proven that the loss suffered by the subsidiary due to the intervention of the parent company in management and finance so that the subsidiary suffers a loss. Therefore, if there is an inadvertent action by the Board of Directors in managing the company, it can cause losses to the company. <![CDATA[On the boiler combustion technique using tiny oil gun is a new environmentally friendly technologies. Application of tiny oil gun on the boiler pulverized coal can reduce oil consumption HSD, ensuring combustion stability at low load conditions and prevent loss of heat energy in the combustion chamber. The tiny oil burner technology used in the sub-critical pulverized coal boiler Sicanang power plant 315 MW. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance and combustion characteristics of a tiny oil gun and compare the efficiency of the use of tiny oil gun at startup conditions in Sicanang 315 MW power plant boiler when compared to using the oil gun. From the analysis of the operating data can be known the performance results of the tiny oil gun is farmore efficient than oil gun, which reached 74.8%.]]>
