Abstract

ABSTRACTStunting is a chronic malnutrition problem caused by insufficient nutrient intake for a long time. Stunting is caused by multi-dimensional factors one of which is influenced by mother's knowledge about nutrition of toddlers. The general objective of this research is to know the correlation between mother knowledge about toddler nutrition with stunting incidence of children aged 36-59 months in Singakerta Village of Gianyar district. This type of research is correlational analytic with case control study design. This research conducted in Singakerta Village, Ubud, Gianyar District. The sample size of this study classified into 2 groups: 40 under-five stunting case group and 40 under-five children not stunting control group. Sampling technique used non probability technique with purposive sampling method. Respondent data obtained in the form of questionnaire and height observation by age. Data analysis using chi-square test. The result of this research showed mother's knowledge about nutrition of toddler (OR = 4,846; CI = 1,882-12,482) with p-value equal to 0,001 less than 0,05 (0,001 0,05). There is a significant correlation between mother's knowledge about toddler nutrition with stunting incidence of children aged 36-59 months.Keyword : knowledge of toddler nutrition, stunting, children

Abstract

ABSTRACTHydrocephalus is a health problem that affects the nervous system (neurobehavior). Hydrocephalus treatment is included in the category of "live saving and live sustaining" which means that this disease requires early diagnosis followed by immediate surgery. Delay will cause disability and death so that the principle of hydrocephalus treatment must be fulfilled. Hydrocephalus is a pathological condition of the brain that results in increased cerebrospinal fluid and an increased intracranial pressure (ICP) so that there is a widening of the room where the discharge is issued. The incidence of hydrocephalus is estimated to be close to 1: 1000. whereas the incidence of congenital hydrocephalus varies for each different population. Recent research shows hydrocephalus can be triggered by abnormal levels of lysophosphatidic acid (LPA), blood lipids that enter the brain in high concentrations during bleeding events, with a profound effect on developing brain cells. Likewise with the diagnostic examination of hydrocephalus, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) biomarkers have now been found that can be used as markers of changes in the brain environment related to the state of the brain itself. With this research in the field of molecular biology, even for therapy even though LPA1-blocking is being developed, a drug that is currently being developed for its use in the management of hydrocephalus. Given the complications that can be caused by hydrocephalus, more research is needed. For medical personnel and paramedics, in order to be able to further enhance their competence in order to provide care to hydrocephalus patients as well as possible. Keyword:  biomarkers, cerebrospinal fluid, hydrocephalus

Abstract

ABSTRACTEarly marriage often begins with pregnancy. This research aims to determine the difference of knowledge about the maturation age of marriage before and after given counseling to students in SMA Negeri 2 Tabanan. This study was analytic with a one-group pre-test-post-test study. Sample in this research is student of class XI which amounted 92 student. The sampling technique is stratified random sampling. The instrument used is a questionnaire of 30 questions that have been valid and reliable. Data analysis technique using Paired t Test. The results showed that the mean before giving 87,57 counseling and after counseling obtained 91,52 obtained increase of mean equal to 3,95. Based on the analysis of Paired t Test obtained p value = 0,000 0,05 the result show there is significant difference of student knowledge about maturation age of marriage before and after given counseling. Extracurricular based on reproductive health in schools is expected to be improved and students are more active in organizations in schools and follow reproductive health education activities.Keywords: Knowledge; Maturation age of marriage; Counseling
