Abstract

The research objective is to determine the effect of: marketing mix variables (product, price, location and promotion) on purchasing decision variables, marketing mix variables on customer satisfaction variables, purchasing decision variables on customer satisfaction variables at Royal Garden Residence Bali housing with purchase decisions as a mediating variable. This research was conducted in the city of Bali, with the object of research being the residential consumers of Royal Garden Residence Bali as the population in this study, with a sample size of 150 respondents and using random sampling techniques. The data collection method is in the form of an online questionnaire via google form and whatsaap due to the situation in Indonesia which is currently being hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of this study indicate that respondents have a good perception of the variable marketing mix, purchase decisions and post-purchase satisfaction Royal Garden Residence Bali. This is because the average value for all research variables is greater than 4 on the Likert scale. The results showed that the marketing mix variable both simultaneously and partially had a positive and significant effect on housing purchase decisions and the marketing mix variable had a positive and significant effect both simultaneously and partially on consumer satisfaction after purchasing Royal Garden Residence Bali housing, and purchasing decisions had a positive and significant effect. significant on consumer satisfaction after purchasing the Royal Garden Residence Bali housing. Then the research also proves that there is an indirect influence of the marketing mix variable on consumer satisfaction after purchasing the Royal Garden Residence Bali housing through the purchase decision. Promotion is the most dominant variable in increasing consumer purchasing decisions for Royal Garden Residence Bali housing.

Abstract

Over time, this type of cooperative business slowly begins to lose its existence due to increasingly fierce business competition. This is because the role of cooperatives, which is identical to the provision of basic foodstuffs for the needs of the community, has now been taken over by the existence of supermarkets both in cities and in the regions. This is due to the influence of the industrial technology revolution 4.0 which requires business people to continue to be able to improve services and offer technology-based convenience so that it has an impact on customer satisfaction. This literature review aims to describe the role of the use of information technology systems for accounting for primary cash receipts and disbursements in cooperatives.

Abstract

Face with the demands of an ever changing global society, our country has in recent years made a shift in its educational landscape. Despite some doubts from the Filipino community, as early as June 2012 we have witness the nationwide implementation of K -12 curriculum in the basic education level as well as the pavement of an outcomes based education for the tertiary level spearheaded by the Commission on Higher Education last 2014. Amidst these swift changes in our education system are the perceived challenges and measures of effectiveness in the implementation of the said programs especially the k – 12 curriculum which is by nature centers on an outcomes based instruction or result – oriented. Corollary to this, there is a present exigency to determine the outcomes based instruction employed by teachers in the high school, its effectives, and perceived challenges. In line with such objectives, this humble work aimed at determining the different strategies used by social sciences teachers at the Mindanao State University – Sulu and the Sulu College of Technology. It also distinguished the level of effectiveness of the OBE strategies in social sciences as perceived by social sciences teachers and students of the two well – known institutions in Sulu. Furthermore, the researcher also looked into the perceived challenges encountered by the respondents in their implementation of an outcomes based instruction.

Abstract

Quality teachers are fundamental factor for offering quality education. This study's primary purpose was to determine the correlation between teachers' profiles and classroom instruction delivery. The descriptive-evaluative research design was used in the study. The study was conducted at the Mindanao State University- Sulu, College of Education. The study participants were composed of 10 faculty members and 100 students randomly selected from the college of education. The results revealed that the teachers always showed a mastery of the subject matter and teaching strategies. However, for interpersonal skills, they often exhibited it in the classroom. There was no significant relationship between teachers' profile and their competence in classroom instruction in terms of mastery of subject matter, teaching strategies, and interpersonal skills. Technology integration for teaching effectiveness is suggested for teachers to make them more effective in teaching. Interpersonal skills training is highly recommended for teachers every semester. The training will make them more effective in their interaction with students.

Abstract

This pioneer study unravelled the economic implications of Senior High School (SHS) curriculum to parents in the rural area of Jolo and the urban center of Zamboanga City. Finding out the significant difference of said implications to parents clustered according to: Area Status, and Children’s Grade Level and Children’s School Type, and SHS-Associated Factors causing financial difficulty to them in both areas are also within the confine of this endeavour. As an expose facto cross-sectoral and evaluative survey, this research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. One hundred twenty seven (127) respondents comprising of parents and senior high principals/coordinators/directors were determined through a Purposive sampling method. Weighted Mean, t-test (Independent Sample-Test), and Ordinal Scales were utilized in analysing the data. The findings are forwarded - The economic implications of the curriculum to parents in both areas are as follows: more spending for school and non-school needs of children, compromised other household expenses and needs of the family, difficulty to support the education of senior high and non-senior high children, compromised expenses on non- senior high children, increased in educational expenses, costly secondary education, increased of daily expenses, financial burden, difficulty to manage income, difficulty to deal with tuition and miscellaneous fees, difficulty to save money, compromised personal and social expenses, need to generate extra income and borrow money to support the education of children, difficulty to extend financially assistance to needy relatives and friends (rural respondents), and difficulty to attend to social obligations on regular basis (rural respondents). As to the extent/intensity of the implications, parents in SCT-SHS and NDJC-SHS in rural area are more affected by the curriculum than the rest. While in urban center, parents in DPLMHS-SASHS and TTNHS-SHS are more affected than those in the four senior high schools. Generally, the extent/intensity of the economic implications of the curriculum to parents in both areas is slight. Income and tuition fee are among the top-ranking pre-determined SHS-Associated Factors causing financial difficulty to parents in rural area and urban center, and in the twelve senior high schools in both areas. Specifically, parents are shelling-out an average of PhP35,000 to 45,000 every year for the senior high education of their children. From the study findings, the researcher developed a model dubbed as Cycle of Despondency. The curriculum increases the private costs of education and burgles effluent family of two years of indispensable child’s contribution in terms of labor opportunity cost. Above all, it is taxing to parents beyond their financial capability to cope. Scrapping it, however, is indubitably not an astute plan. Instead, immediate and sweeping review and modification are prudent stratagems to undertake since it is already running for four years now. Program mitigating its pecuniary repercussions to parents have to be devised, along with inflexible regulation of school fees and charges. The Civil Service Commission (CSC) and corporate entities have to amend some job “educational requirements” to accommodate senior high graduates in the labor market. Studies on the economic aspect of the curriculum must be launched by various social divides - to spot genuine recommendations in aid of legislation and curriculum planning in general and map out alternative methodologies to minimize its impacts to family in particular. Otherwise, the curriculum will completely end up in fiasco.

Abstract

The primary aim of this paper was to determine the demographic profiles and the percieved-actual responses of the grade 7 history teachers on the implementation of the K-12 curriclum in the Province of Sulu. The descriptive research design was used in the study. The study was conducted in Sulu both private and public schools. The study participants were composed of Grade 7 History teachers in public and private High Schools in some of the municipalities, province of Sulu for school year 2017-2018. The results concluded that The Grade 7 History teachers are not growing professionally in terms of their educational attainment both in perceived and actual implementation of the K-12 curriculum, they strongly agreed that the following problems exist: as Learning Resources, Teacher’s Competency, Method Approaches and Technique, Administrator’s Competency and Teaching, Supervisor’s Competency, Monitoring, Technical Assistance, Evaluation, and Assessment. It is recommended that Based on the findings of the study on the issues and challenges confronting Grade 7 History teachers in the implementation of K-12 curriculum in the Province of Sulu, the following recommendations are: Grade 7 History teachers must improve their education attainment;History teachers spontaneously read more about techniques, strategies about History on the implementation of K-12 curriculum;History teachers must earn at least Master’s degree in line with his or her major; The DepEd must improve the implementation of the K-12 History curriculum in areas of Learning Resources, Teacher’s Competency: Method Approaches and Technique, Administrator’s Competency and Teaching, Supervisor’s Competency, Monitoring, Technical Assistance, Evaluation, and Assessment; The DepEd must sponsor more seminars for the History Teachers to participate in the actual implementation of the K-12 History Curriculum; There must be similar study conducted to assist the findings of this study; and Administration must fully support the program; that is and for the progress of the teachers.

Abstract

This study aimed to know the “Teachers’ Perception on Modular Distance Learning Approach at Mindanao State University-Sulu: Its Readiness and Challenges”. This study contained five (5) objevtives:1) to determine the profile of the respondents; 2) to determine the perceptions of the teachers towards the modular distance learning approach; 3) to find out the challenges encountered by the teachers with modular distance learning approach; 4) to determine the level of readiness on modular distance learning approach as perceived by the teachers; and 5) to find out if there is a significant difference between perception of readiness and challenges in terms of age. This study is supported by Michael G. Moore’s Transactional Distance Theory developed by Daniel Bornt (completed August 22, 2011) and Constructivist Theory by Saul McLeod, published 2019. Moore’s theory has a direct bearing on e-learning. It explains and quantifies the learning relationship between instructor and student in the e-learning situation, where there is a substantial physical or temporal distance between the two. First formulated in 1997, it considered the many different forms of distance learning as part of a group which could similarly analyzed. Transactional distance as distinguished from physical or temporal distance – refers to the psychological or communicative space that separates instructor from learner in the transaction between them, occurring in the structured or planned learning situation (Moore, 1997, p.1) and the constructivist learning theory underpins a variety of student-centered teaching methods and techniques which contrast with traditional education, whereby knowledge is simply passively transmitted by teachers to students. This study used convenient sampling technique. This sampling is also known as availability sampling. There were forty eight (48) teachers who served as the respondents from different colleges and department of Mindanao State University-Sulu, they were chosen depending on their availability at school. To gather data the researcher used survey questionnaire or the descriptive survey method. The questionnaire is guided by the objectives of the study. It consist of twenty five (25) items. This research instrument helped the researcher to determine the readiness and challenges of teachers’ perception on modular distance learning approach at Mindanao State University-Sulu. When the questionnaire were collected, the researcher made tabulations of the gathered data and subjected them to analysis. SSPS was used in computing and analyzing the data. Frequency and standard deviation were used to analyze the SOP1 which were the profile of the respondents. Weighted arithmetic mean for the SOP 2, 3 and 4, then the one-way ANOVA for the SOP 5. Based on the findings of the study, the distribution of first category which is age starts in 30 below has the frequency of 26, 31-40 and 41 above have the same frequency of 11, second category which is gender; there are more female respondents with 31 while male respondents have a frequency of 17 and the third category which is college. 9 respondents were from College of Arts and Sciences, both 7 respondents were from College of Education and College of Agriculture. Similarly, 6 respondents were from College of Fisheries and Senior High school Department, College of Computer Studies has frequency of 5 and 4 respondents came from College of Public Affair and College of Public. The study also revealed that the respondents agreed on teacher’s perception on modular distance learning approach with its grand mean of 3.00 with a description of Moderately Agree. The respondents also agreed on the challenges encountered with modular distance learning approach with its grand mean of 3.97 and a description of Agree. The result also concluded that the respondents have high level of readiness on modular distance learning approach with its grand mean of 3.51 with a description of High Readiness. The data indicated that there is no significant difference between perceptions on the level of readiness when the data are grouped according to age. Thus, the data suggest that the null hypothesis is accepted. The data also indicated that there is no significant difference between the perceptions on the challenges encountered during modular distance learning approach when the data are grouped according to age. Thus, the data suggests that the null hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

This research studied the factors which promoted the interest of the selected professionals in Jolo, Sulu in obtaining a master’s degree. The theory and explanation on interest of Silvia, Kashdan, and Berlyne were used to support the study. The study sought to answer the following questions: 1. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of age, gender, educational attainment, and occupation? 2. What are the factors which promoted the interest of the selected professionals in Jolo in obtaining a master’s degree? 3. What is the level of interest of the professionals in obtaining a master’s degree? 4. Is there significant difference among the factors which promoted the interest of the professionals in obtaining a master’s degree? 5. Is there any significant difference in the interest of the professionals according to their profile? The samples used in this study were the selected professionals in Jolo. They were thirty (30) respondents. The researcher used the following statistical treatment for the hypotheses: Percentage was used in the first question. Weighted mean was employed to treat the second and the third questions. The fourth question used the Friedman Test using the chi-square. The fifth question was analysed with the Kruskal-Wallis Test using chi-square. After the thorough analysis and interpretation of the data, these were the following results: The factors which promoted the interest of the selected professionals in Jolo were prospective rank and promotion, financial condition, aspiring for leadership, staying marketable, community, and a ladder to doctorate. There were ten (10) identified concepts of interest. These were the following: concentration to the lectures, awareness of new-found knowledge, curiosity to further learning, attention to oral reports, readiness in attending classes, willingness to comprehend lectures, eagerness to accomplish researches, enthusiasm to expand skills, keenness to explore broader education, and achievement of wisdom. The level of interest of the selected professionals in Jolo in obtaining a master’s degree in relation to the ten concepts of interest and the factors mentioned was high. In addition to this, their levels of interest in relation to the ten concepts of interest do not differ with each other in terms of their age, civil status, degree obtained, position, length of service, and income. However, in terms of gender, the male and female professionals differ only in their interests as to readiness in attending classes and keenness to broader education.
