Kepariwisataan: Jurnal Ilmiah pertama kali terbit pada bulan Januari 2007 dan diterbitkan dalam 3 (tiga) edisi setiap tahunnya, yaitu diterbitkan setiap bulan Januari, Mei dan September.

Abstract

This study aims to identify local wisdom in Green Village Gedangsari, Gunungkidul Regency. This research uses qualitative method with combined data collection technique, there are observation, interview, and documentation. Some invention that have been identified as the findings of this research are (1) Tourism development in Green Village Gedangsari; (2) Some of the taboos that local people believe; (3) Local culinary; (4) The place of the sacred; (5) Nyadran and Rosulan Traditions; and (6) 4G development plan by Gedangsari community. These findings have the potential to increase tourist attraction in the Green Village Gedangsari region. Keywords: Local Wisdom, Tourist Attractions

Abstract

LANGENASTRAN Village is one of the areas in Yogyakarta City. Langenastran is known as a street and at the same time a strategic village in building tourism and culture, lies in the territory within the Kraton Yogyakarta. Strategic location and also a very rich cultural heritage should be able to attract tourists to come. But it was still less tourists who visit. This is caused by the management of tourism in Langenastran not maximal because of the absence of good governance. Therefore, it is necessary to implement a community service in order to help the community in Langenastran in order to have better selling and governance value. The method used is the method of mentoring and simulation methods. Stages implemented in community service include: conducting meetings in the form of internal team meetings and meetings to coordinate the implementation of activities; met some community leaders to discuss Langenastran Village in the future and how to develop Langenastran will include how to make tour packages, attractions and good organizational structure. Abstract

This research use qualitative method this discuss also about new tourism destination at Gunungkidul named Goa Tanding. Goa Tanding located at Bejiharjo Tourism Village, Gelaran II, Bejiharjo, Karangmojo, Gunungkidul regency, Yogyakarta. Goa Tanding is the one and only destination the underground rivers that use inflatable boat to down the underground river in Goa. Management in Goa Tanding as new destination it can be said already at the maximum. Management in Goa Tanding fight as tourism object implementing ecotourism applied so that tourism is able to limit of tourist and the benefit of applied ecotourism so that tourism is not damage and staff safe. The role of local communities who have not been fullest in the management of Goa Tanding so not many communities are working together, but isn’t resolved by holding of dissemination of Pokdarwis to manage the new tourist held by Dinas Pariwisata Gunungkidul regency. Abstract

Batik Tourist Village of Kauman has been established by the government to be the region with the priority of conservation handling in Surakarta. Kauman has great potentials such as cultural and architectural potential. As a cultural-based tourism village, its development is targeted in accordance with potential and characteristic that can be developed as interesting attraction without ignoring tradition and local culture values. This reseach aims to analyze the problems found in kauman and how to strengthen the character of kauman as a conservation area. The concept of area organizing on Batik Tourist Village of Kauman must not only be able to give spirit to the area (visitable) but also able to serve visitors and comfortable to visit (livable and walkable). The organizing guidance of Batik Tourist Village of Kauman is conducted by strengthening tourist attraction and the organizing of supporting facilities (access and amenity). This organizing guidance must not only be able to utilize the cultural heritage as tourist attraction but also be able give protection to the cultural heritage. Abstract

The lack of information related to the best practices in responsible tourism is one of the causes to tourist behavior problems. This study aims to determine the behavior of tourists in hiking, the adoption of responsible tourism practices, and to compile a responsible tourism practices guidebook. The research method used is survey research by spreading the questionnaire. Based on Likert analysis, at the pre-ascending stage, the classification of attitudes indicated by the respondents for cost and transportation is quite agreeable, while for equipment, guide, and simaksi is agreed. The ascent stage, the indicator when going up the mountain is quite agree, camping is not agree, the cook is agree, and when down the mountain is strongly agree. The post-ascent stage shows quite agreeable attitude. The public test of the guidebook, for the aspect of size and language of submission shows an agreeable attitude, while for the design, thickness, and content of the book shows an agreeable attitude. The conclusion is that (1) Still found the behavior of tourists in mountain climbing that is not environmentally friendly, (2) The responsible tourism practices of mountaineering that includes pre-ascending, ascent, and post-ascent, not well implemented by tourists, and (3) The responsible tourism practices guidebook still lack both technical and substance. Abstract

The phenomenon is very significant growth in tourism has been able to create business opportunities so high, but it still not fully captured well by the majority of higher education institutions in particular tourism. In fact their educational programs are still oriented in learning programs for development through academic curriculum that prepares graduates only in accordance with the needs of industry. Most graduates oriented as job seekers, but not as the creator of the workplace (job creators). It is necessary for the implementation of innovative educational development program that is able to change the mindset and creativity of graduates integrated focus on aspects of entrepreneurship. Needs and challenges for students who have the competence and dare to create business opportunities that are relevant to the development of a highly competitive global business. Relevant education programs for students expected to be able to understand the business opportunities in entrepreneurship. The education program should be directed by a model of entrepreneurial opportunities through an integrated approach and an internship program in abroad more professional and international perspective. The internship program with overseas by working practices more effective and more facilitated with infrastructure which more adequate. By coaching and mentoring through effective and professional in the international scale indeed. Entrepreneurial education program with the apprenticeship starts from: academic learning, social learning, mental switching, cross cultural learning, and the development of the motivation for the students to have a serious intent in entrepreneurship, or graduates capable more critical thinking to face the highly prospective business opportunities in tourism this time.
