Journal of Midwifery
The Journal of Midwifery is a peer reviewed free open access Faculty of Health Studies, Universitas Dehasen Bengkulu, Bengkulu, Indonesia. Midwifery publishes the latest peer reviewed international research to inform the safety, quality, outcomes and experiences of pregnancy, birth and maternity care for childbearing women, their babies and families. The journals publications support midwives and maternity care providers to explore and develop their knowledge, skills and attitudes informed by best available evidence. Midwifery provides an international, interdisciplinary forum for the publication, dissemination and discussion of advances in evidence, controversies and current research, and promotes continuing education through publication of systematic and other scholarly reviews and updates. Midwifery articles cover the cultural, clinical, psycho social, sociological, epidemiological, education, managerial, workforce, organizational and technological areas of practice in preconception, maternal and infant care, maternity services and other health systems. This professional journal provides a venue for the publication of research relevant to midwifery and reproductive health practice by specialists and researchers in various disciplines including midwifery, reproductive health, maternal and child health, obstetrics and gynecology, sexual health promotion, womens health and nursing. It publishes quantitative and qualitative original articles, review articles, short communications, case reports and letters to the editor in a broad range of clinical and interdisciplinary topics including sexual and reproductive health, maternal and child health, safe pregnancy and normal childbirth, adolescent health, family planning, menopause, screening of gynecological cancers, infertility holistic care, womens mental health, psychosocial and ethical aspects of womens health, counseling and educational interventions in reproductive health and midwifery, womens empowerment and reproductive rights. Dalam menghadapi persalinan tentunya ibu akan mengalami kecemasan dengan berbagai tingkatan mulai dari kecemasan sedang, berat atau berat sekali dimana wanita diketahui akan mengalami gangguan emosional dan perasaan kecemasan. Jumlah persalinan di RSUD.Dr. M.Yunus Bengkulu Tahun 2009 terdapat 1602, dengan 710 (44,31%) persalinan normal, 540 (33,70 %) persalinan dengan tindakan dari 710 persalinan normal terdapat 252 (15,37%) persalinan kala II lama. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara paritas dengan kecemasan ibu dalam menghadapi persalinan di RSUD.Dr.M. Yunus Bengkulu. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian survey analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional dengan mengambil sampel secara total sampling dengan jumlah sampel 41 responden. Pengambilan data dengan menggunakan data sekunder dan primer yang diolah secara univariat dan bivariat dengan uji statistik chi-square. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh sebanyak 23 (56,1%) responden adalah ibu primipara dan tingkat kecemasan berada pada kecemasan berat sekali 17 orang (41,5 %). Hasil uji statistik chi-square didapat nilai X2= 18,361, dengan p=0,000<α=0,05 berarti signifikan. Ada Hubungan antara Paritas dengan tingkat kecemasan ibu dalam menghadapi persalinan di RSUD. Dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu. Petugas diharapkan dapat membantu mengurangi rasa nyeri persalinan agar proses persalinan dimaknai sebagai proses positif yang dilalui oleh setiap ibu.
