Abstract

Abstract : One of the priority programs mandated by Law No. 6/2014 on traditional villages or villages in Indonesia is the establishment of BUMDes. BUMDes or for West Sumatra Province is called BUMNag, is a business entity formed by the village government which aims to improve the economy in the village and can take advantage of the potential that exists in the village, so as to improve the welfare of the people in the village. However, not all villages have been able to establish BUMNag, one of which is Nagari Padang Tarok. Therefore, researchers want to see what are the obstacles faced by Nagari Padang Tarok, so that BUMNag has not yet been established. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Research informants were selected using purposive sampling technique and in data collection used in-depth interviews. The results of this study found the obstacles faced by the Padang Tarok Nagari Government in establishing BUMNag, namely that the village government prioritized physical development, difficulty finding business units and lack of human resources. The focus of the village government in physical development in Nagari Padang Tarok has a positive impact on the community, road access is getting better between jorong and another, irrigation in the fields is starting to run smoothly, health and education facilities are starting to be adequate.

Abstract

Abstrak: Ronggeng is usually known as a traditional art that only develops in Java, in fact this art is also found in the Simpang community, Simpang Alahan Mati District of West Pasaman Regency in West Sumatra. Here, Ronggeng is performed at a wedding ceremony combined with Minangkabau customs, even the residents claim this art is an art that is in demand by the Nagari Simpang community. In this regard, researcher is interested in studying what causes the Ronggeng exists in Nagari Simpang, which is much influenced by Minangkabau culture. The purpose of this research is to describe the social practice of Ronggeng art in the Simpang community, the enabling structure for the existence of Ronggeng art and to see the role of the agency in this art performance. For that, structuration theory and qualitative research using observation and in-depth interviews were used. The results of this study indicate that Ronggeng is performed in Minangkabau traditional ceremonies, such as parties, circumcision of the apostle and batagak rumah (establishing a new house), including in events commemorating 17 August. This art is accepted in the local community because it is understood by local and their leaders as being in accordance with Minangkabau traditional values.

Abstract

Abstract : Remittances from migrants are one of the potentials that can be utilized by the village to improve welfare. Atar is one of the nagari which has a large number of guides in various cities in Indonesia. The problem raised in this study is to see how the pattern of use of remittances from migrants for Nagari Atar. The objectives of this research are; 1.) Describe the pattern of use of remittances from migrants at the household level and 2.) Describe the patterns of use of remittances from migrants for the development of Nagari Atar. As an analytical tool, the structuration theory proposed by Anthony Giddens is used. This study used a qualitative approach using in-depth interviews and observation as data collection tools. The results of this study indicate that the frequency of money transfers is uncertain and is sent only when there is a need. Meanwhile, the frequency of sending goods is sent during the new school year and Eid. Economic remittances are like money and goods, while social remittances are in the form of ideas and main ideas for village development. The pattern of using remittances at the family level is divided into the use of family consumptive remittances and the use of family productive remittances. The use of remittances at the village level is for the physical development of the village and the non-physical development of the village.

Abstract

Abstract : Every human have social life.They also have marriage life with rules and norms. It divided become traditional and law ofrules and norms. Sometime, people break it, so they will get punishment. The research objectives are: 1) Describe the form of sanctions given by traditional leaders to perpetrators of marriage customs violations that are not in accordance with the prevailing manners in NagariPersiapanSundata Selatan; 2) Describe the causes of marriages that do not follow the tradional way of NagariPersiapanSundata Selatan. This research use social control theory from Walter Reckles. Heexplain about two control systems. The first is internal control and the second is external control, in which the inner control is the human mind or conscience and from the outside it can be in the form of family, neighbors, police or authorities. This research usequalitative method with a descriptive type. This researchuse purposive sampling technique and data collection use observation and in-depth interviews. The informants in this study were people who had violated customs in matters of marriage, ninikmamak, and the perpetrators' neighbors. The forms of marital custom violations committed by the community in marriage in the NagariPersiapan of Sundata Selatan, namely: ethnic marriage, “kawinlari” and "tidakmampajalanan". Furthermore, the forms of sanctions given by traditional and community leaders to people who violate the marriage customs in NagariPersiapanSundata Selatan are: a) being expelled from the village; b) as punishment, they givea goat; c) the other punishment, they give chicken singgang; d) apologize to ninik mamak.

Abstract

This article presents the results of research on peer educator strategies to raise female sex workers' awareness of reproductive health. The objectives of this study were 1) to describe the strategies used by peer educators to build sex worker awareness of workers' reproductive health; 2) Identifying barriers to peer educators in providing education on reproductive health to female sex workers. To achieve the research objectives, the theory used is the Social Exchange Theory of George C, Homans and the research approach used is qualitative with descriptive research type. To obtain data, researchers used in-depth interviews and observation techniques. The results showe that the strategies used by peer educators in providing education about reproductive health were: coercion, giving advice, and persuasion. Meanwhile, the obstacles found by peer educators in providing education on reproductive health were: the imbalance of exchanges between peer educators and female sex workers and the distrust of female sex workers in peer educators.
