<![CDATA[ABSTRACTHuman trafficking is one of the dark side of globalisation. The vast growing of world integration become a fertilizer for human trafficking world wide. At the end of the rope, US responses with the law enforcement againts modern-day slavery through establishment of Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 (TVPA). Above all the reasons, law enforcement factor manifested in the law effectivity theory is the main tool analysis for this paper. Despite the law factor, US national interest also played a deterministic aspect to analyze TVPA effectivity world wide. <![CDATA[ABSTRACTIn general, there are two types of corporate governance systems that are used by countries in the world, the one-tier board system and two-tier board system. The United Kingdom (UK) and The United States (US) are countries that are equally embraced the one-tier board system. However, despite using the same system, there are differences in the results achieved by both countries. When compared with the US that has many cases of corporate fraud to cause a crisis, the UK tends to be quite experienced cases of fraud. This paper is intended to find out why these differences occur. <![CDATA[ABSTRACTThe military has an active and making role’s the politics in Indonesian government at New Order Era. Writers such as Huntington's theory marking read about the military-Civil Affairs on citizens with Agency Theory. In Indonesia, wave of reform also participated in the larger open space for discussion civil-military relations are associated with the democratic process. During this civil-military relations is not only built on military doctrine, which doctrine is less popular among the civil society and its main doctrine was never a debate among the public discourse. <![CDATA[ABSTRACTAt 1994, Mexico have a crisis result to domestic political instability and failures of the devaluation policy. Historically, the Mexican economic crisis had begin from 1980. The crisis in 1980 is result of Mexico’s foreign debt that fail to paid. Mexico made several attemps to rise from the economic crisis. One of the efforts is to be a member of NAFTA. To conform with NAFTA, Mexico changed some national policies. NAFTA is a regional institution for the North American that made by the government of the United States, Canada and Mexico. NAFTA implemented on January 1, 1994. NAFTA has three programs of cooperation, there are Free Trade Agreement, Environmental Cooperation and Labor Cooperation. NAFTA has gradually eliminate obstacles on cross-border trade in the region. NAFTA affected on Mexican economic growth because NAFTA has opened opportunity for Mexico to cooperate with the other NAFTA members. <![CDATA[ABSTRACTNelson Mandela is one of actor in South Africa who fought for anti-apartheid politic. He did with many ways to reach the goals. Being the member and leader of ANC is the one of his struggling. Because of his struggling against Apartheid government, he had been imprisoned. In 1990, he was out and becoming The First President through democratic ellection in 1994. When he was a President, he played the roles throgh his policies to agains apartheid politic in South African. The one of them is The Reconstruction And Development Programme (RDP). RDP is targeted to increase the citizen‟s welfare as well as economic growth. <![CDATA[ABSTRACTIn Global tourism, any issue can be change and growth easily. Music concert easily held in Indonesia, especially in Surabaya it is becoming new tourism. To be one of the new program for promoting tourism in indonesia, PT Gudang Garam (tobacco corporation) being greater promotor to promote the program. And that program must support for tobacco product too. This paper will explain that PT. Gudang Garam can explore “new tourism” in Surabaya on 2007 – 2010. This paper start with the history of sponsorship Gudang Garam ini music concert, and the types of developing music sponsorship also continue with table of comparation tourism in Surabaya and finally there are result for that activities. <![CDATA[ABSTRACTDefining globalization as internationalization and de-territorialization is shifting the role of information as the product of knowledge to be the knowledge itself. This shifting is dragging information to be a potential property of feudal who control of the access and the process. This has been marked as informational feudalism. This paper actualizes the concept of informational feudalism by giving empirical studies of Eli Lily-Madagascar and Nicotine-Pharmacy Industry in United States of America. The medicine to cure cancer had been made from rosy periwinkle came from Madagascar. Instead of being a common property, the medicine was a private property because Eli Lily had sold it to people with high price. In the USA, research studies and scientific papers were used in the campaign of using the alternative nicotine therapy, considering the harm of smoking activities. <![CDATA[ABSTRACTThe United States has a long history for its domination since the Second World War. The United States and its allies obtain a victory over japan which capitulated after a bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. With all the potential, the US began showing its role as a hegemon. Its superiority continuing through the establishment of international institutions such as GATT and the Bretton woods system. The cold war marked by the presence of world competition in developing nuclear weapons and spreadingof ideology that formed to be bipolar. The cold war ended with the fall of the Soviet Union and the US appeared as a solepower. In the aftermath of the cold war, US’s ideology dominated international politics and economics. According to the hegemonic stability theory, the capacities of US’s military, economic and political have the influence to affect other countries to follow its policies. <![CDATA[ABSTRACTKosovo has a long way to achieve its independence. The struggle of territory between ethnic Albanians in Kosovo with Serbs has led to occurrence of violent conflict. In 1999 NATO intervention to stop the conflict. After NATO has bombing Kosovo, United Nation form Kosovo yaitu United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) to maintain peace and security. However, UNMIK is not only create peacekeeping, but extends to participate in composing and arranging the government in Kosovo. According to Johan Galtung’s theory, UNMIK has been able to resolve the conflict in Kosovo. The theory include peacekeeping, peacemaking, and peacebuilding.
