Abstract

This paper discusses the derivation of Euler's formula. To obtain this model, the writer derives Euler's formula from ex+iy by first finding the norm and argument of ex+iy. In this derivation we substitute the norm and argument of ex+iy on complex numbers in polar coordinates, until we get the derivation of Euler's formula.

Abstract

Air Conditioners (AC) are increasingly used to get the room temperature as desired, starting from home use to keep the room cool and enjoyable, to specific room like server rooms or ATM which are focused on keeping the room cool in order to keep the equipment cool. The role of AC is quite important to maintain room temperature, and its increasing use has led to the growing need for users to control the AC. The Internet of Things allows users to remotely control air conditioners using the gadgets used and get real time room temperature information. The AC control system based on Internet of Things (IoT) utilizes an internet connection to monitor room temperature and control AC remotely. The devices used are DHT11 as a temperature sensor to get room temperature, Infrared Receiver to read the code sent by the remote AC, Infrared Transmitter to send commands to the AC in the room, and ESP8266 as a microcontroller and a link to the internet. The IoT platform used is Blynk which has the ability to access the microcontroller from the user's gadget. The tests are running on room air conditioners such as the Panasonic CS-PC18PKP series, the Panasonic CS-YN18TKP series and the Samsung AR09TGHQASINSE series. The test results showed that the room air conditioner was successfully controlled, and the room temperature was read in real time via an android smartphone.

Abstract

The square root of two is an irrational number that cannot be written as a fraction of the numerator and denominator. By using the generating function of A-B Goen, from the resulting set of numbers, the sequence of A-B Goen numbers can be obtained by selecting integer numbers. The A Goen numbers are generated from the generator function which have integer numbers, while the B Goen numbers are obtained from the sequence numbers. In this study, through the generating function of A-B Goen, it can be proven that the division between the A Goen number and the B Goen number in an infinite sequence will result the value of the square root of two.

Abstract

The popularity of social media continues to grow, and its dominance of the entire world has become one of the aspects of modern life that cannot be ignored. The rapid growth of social media has resulted in the emergence of ecosystem problems. Hate speech, fraud, fake news, and a slew of other issues are becoming un-stoppable. With over 1.7 billion fake accounts on social media, the losses have al-ready been significant, and removing these accounts will take a long time. Due to the growing number of Instagram users, the need for identifying fake accounts on social media, specifically in Instagram, is increasing. Because this process takes a long time if done manually by humans, we can now use machine learning to identify fake accounts thanks to the rapid development of machine learning. We can detect fake accounts on Instagram using machine learning by implementing the combination of image detection and natural language processing.

Abstract

Virtual Reality (VR) is becoming more popular as a treatment option for many phobias. We present a method that uses virtual reality in treatment to cure acrophobia in this research. Acrophobia is an anxiety condition that occurs when a person is exposed to heights. The goal of our study is to see whether Virtual Reality technology can be used to treat acrophobia. We conducted a comprehensive literature evaluation on publications relevant to acrophobia and virtual reality that were located on Google Scholar using a keyword-based search strategy. We noticed that the majority of papers involve more than two persons as a sample and use virtual reality exposure treatment. The participants' anxiety levels decrease with each exposure, suggesting that VR-based exposure might be employed as an acrophobic alternative treatment.

Abstract

The criminal act of robbery really makes people nervous, especially in urban areas. There are many ways that can be done to avoid robbery at home and office, such as increasing the security system in the house to protect valuables. Safe-deposit boxes are items that are used to store valuables. Safe-deposit box is used to prevent against theft who want to take valuable things. To increase security, technology has begun to develop for security in various ways, such as fingerprints, passwords, and buzzers. This research will focus on a safe security system using a fingerprint that is connected to the internet with the Blynk application so that the user will get a safe notification when the servo condition is open or closed. The fingerprint sensor is an access to open doors, the Arduino Uno microcontroller is a storage for command logic on the system, the stepper motor acts as an activator for opening and closing servo and the Esp8266 module as a Wi-Fi module that connects equipment components using the internet network with the Blynk application which is used as distance control and notification of incoming access to homes with the concept of Internet of Things (IoT).

Abstract

The aim of this work is to design an application with the main function to ease the user in the process of managing their personal finance. The process of evaluating their financial activities record should becomes easier because the application enables their own financial goal to be monitored, controlled, and evaluated using the data. There are two phases in this research: (1) concept evaluation phase, and (2) content realization phase. The first phase produced a list of approved features that had undergone a series of concept testing. All features support all three time period: past, present, and future. Users can see their past activities, record their present transaction, and plan their future goals. The second phase produced a design for a mobile application, specifically in a form of use case diagram and class diagram. Feature comparison between similar applications had also been done twice, in the beginning and at the end. All process are done to ensure that the concept are designed as objective as possible.
