Abstract

The liquid waste treatment process will produce another by-product, namely sludge or sludge. Sludge from WWTP is managed in a Sludge Drying Bed (SDB) unit with a drying system. utilization of sludge into a valuable product is an effort to reduce sludge discharged into the environment. The sludge can be utilized one of them as fuel in the form of briquettes. Utilization of sludge as compost is an alternative that can be done as an effort to manage the environment and has humus material and nutrient content. As well as mud as an alternative to providing nutrients in ultisol soil. Another use of sludge waste is to utilize toothpaste factory sludge as a raw material for brick making, because of its characteristics it contains SiO2 and CaO.

Abstract

Websites in health services are expected to be able to manage information and data processing to be faster and according to minimum service standards. This study aims to develop an outpatient registration website by applying the Scrum system development method. The research method used is descriptive research including data collection and software requirements analysis, website modeling and website development using the Scrum model. The website is developed using PHP and Mysql. This research was able to produce an outpatient registration website, the scrum method was able to make website work more effective, efficient and structured.

Abstract

Adaptation is a problem that needs to be solved from the study of intercultural communication because, when a person or group of people communicate with other parties who are culturally different, it can present problems between them. This research aims to describe the theories of intercultural communication adaptation. This research uses qualitative research methods with a library research approach. In this study, researchers used data analysis techniques in the form of analyzing the content of documentation. This analysis is a way to get the appropriate data, thus the strategy is to identify data from the bias of data characteristics, then the information is made systematically so that the object under study is able to provide perfect conclusions. The results of the research show that the theories of intercultural communication adaptation include: uncertainty reduction theory, anxiety theory or uncertainty management theory, acculturation and culture shock theory, and co-cultural theory.

Abstract

Hypertension is a degenerative disease that has a high level of morbidity and mortality and is characterized by an increase in blood pressure above normal values. Increased blood pressure is caused by many factors, such as weight, nutritional status, genetics, gender, and smoking habits. There was a significant increase in cases of hypertension in Indonesia in the period 2013-2015, while in West Sumatra during the period 2013-2015 there was an increase of 8.3%. This study aims to determine the relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of hypertension at the Lubuk Buaya Public Health Center, Padang City. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with a cross-sectional approach using primary data with a sample of 85 respondents. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the most common hypertension was grade 1 hypertension, namely 48 (56.5%) respondents. The age group that experienced the most hypertension was the age group >45 years, with (94.1%) respondents. The most affected gender group who suffer from hypertension are women, with 62 (79.2%) respondents. Nutritional status as measured by BMI was found to be in the highest category with overweight, namely 49 (55,7) respondents, and the results of data processing using the chi-square test obtained a p value of 0.042, where p value was less than p (0.05). There is a significant relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of hypertension that occurred at the Lubuk Buaya Health Center, where p value = 0.042 was obtained from the test results using the chi-square test.

Abstract

A da'i when he wants to convey a da'wah message certainly wants to get a good response or response from the communicant to the message he conveys. To deliver an effective and maximum message, a da'i must give a da'wah message in accordance with the mental condition or feelings of mad'u at that time. Therefore, one of the fields of science that discusses explaining, predicting, and controlling mental or mental events and mad'u behavior is psychology. This study aims to describe the theories of da'wah psychology. This research uses qualitative research methods with a library research approach. Technical analysis of data in this study is in the form of analysis of a documentation content. This analysis is a way to get the appropriate data. rare then the researcher identifies the data from the bias of the data characteristics, then the information is made systematically so that the object under study is able to provide a perfect conclusion. The research results show that the theories of da'wah psychology include: persuasive theory, learning theory, cognitive dissonance theory, cognitive response theory, planned action theory, Elaboration of Likelihood Model (ELM) theory, and systematic heuristic theory.

Abstract

Instilling character in children must be done from an early age, because forming character values requires a systematic and prolonged preparation of stages. The purpose of this study was to analyze the character values in the animated film Upin Dan Ipin Geng Pengembaraan Bermula by Nizam Razak. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data in this study was carried out using the animated film Upin Dan Ipin Geng Pengembaraan Bermula by Nizam Razak which contains character values. Data collection techniques used in this study through listening and taking notes in concluding the data. The data in this study were obtained by watching the animated film Upin Dan Ipin Geng Pengembaraan Bermula by Nizam Razak. Based on the results of analysis of research data through description, character values were found in the animated film Upin Dan Ipin Geng Pengembaraan Bermula Pemula by Nizam Razak. Character values are shown through the sentences and actions in each scene in the film. The results of this study indicate that there is a character value contained in the animated film Upin and Ipin Geng Pengembaraan Bermula by Nizam Razak.

Abstract

Emotions can be owned by every human being. The emotions they have also vary, depending on the situation and conditions they are experiencing. Emotions can be expressed or suppressed by someone. However, some people can also express their emotions through a song. As it was done by Olivia Rodrigo. His song entitled Brutal is a song that describes the feelings she experienced when he was a teenager. Therefore, in this song there must be an emotion that we can find in the lyrics of the song. This study aims to determine the emotions contained in the Brutal song by using Minderop's theory of 7 classifications of emotions. This research is descriptive qualitative, because the research results are in the form of data not in the form of numbers. Due to qualitative research, the data collection that will be carried out is observing and noting. The author will listen to the lyrics of the Brutal song and analyze it using the existing theory. The data obtained will be recorded immediately.

Abstract

Assessment is one of the important processes in education that is useful for assessing the effectiveness of learning and curriculum achievement. The assessment process is very important to evaluate as well as improve the learning process. The aimed this study is to explore the dominant forms of assessments used in English in Mind the textbook of Merdeka Belajar curriculum for first-year students of Junior High School and to know the types of assessment used in the English textbook of Merdeka Belajar curriculum for first-year students of Junior High School. The writer used the mixed method. Based on the data analysis the writer found 22 types of assessments of English in Mind in which it devided into 16 assessments after analyzed by each aspect skills, they are directed responses, read-aloud, sentence/dialogues complexion andoral questionnaire, pictures-cued task, translation, questionand answer, giving instruction and direction, information transfer, dictation, listening cloze, sentence repetition, reading aloud, written response, multiple choice, matching task, short answer, grammatical transformation, and vocabulary assessment. Then, the dominant assessment used in the English textbook of Merdeka Belajar curriculum for the first-year students of Junior High School was a grammatical transformation from writing skills.

Abstract

Teaching experience has a high contribution to many aspects of effective teaching. Through experiences, teachers learn to conquer different teaching strategies, manage classrooms, and improve their professionalism in the field. Higher education students are given the chance to have a pre-work experience known as teacher practice or Student-Teacher Practice Program. At STKIP Muhammadiyah, in their third year of study, students are required to join this program which becomes their chance and venue to apply the learned theories to practical work. The current study, therefore, aimed to describe the student’s perception, and practice of the teacher practice at the lower school level. Further, these experiences were described and categorized to see how students perceive the experience and how it contributes to their teaching competence. This research used a descriptive qualitative design. The data was collected through an interview protocol. The sources of data were the 7th-semester students of STKIP Muhammadiyah Aceh Barat Daya who joined the program. The finding of the research revealed that student teachers’ perspectives and practices of teaching experience are positive. Teaching practices gave them lots of positive experiences, and help them to understand real classroom situations and students’ character. Furthermore, the research was expected to give a significant contribution to students, teachers, or researchers who were interested in a similar issue.

Abstract

The Qur'an has properly regulated the way women dress to cover their nakedness. In fact, the directives are specifically so that women are able to maintain their honor. Whether we realize it or not, as time goes by, covering the genitals becomes more varied and diverse. This causes the awareness of Muslim women to wear the hijab properly decreases. One example is by wearing the hijab to follow the trend to make it look contemporary. The purpose of this research is to provide Muslim women with an understanding of how to properly cover their genitals based on the Qur'an and its interpretations. This type of research is qualitative with data collection through library research. Then it is developed with descriptive analysis to further explain a meaning. The results of this study are that there are 3 verses of the Qur'an which explain the covering of the genitals, including lafadz khimar (QS. An-Nur verse 31), hijab (QS. Al-Ahzab verse 53) and lafadz jilbab (QS. Al-Ahzab -Ahzab verse 59). Khimar, as an order, guards his eyes and private parts, nor does he reveal his jewelery (beauty of the body). Lafadz Hijab is intended to cover the entire body so that it is not visible from the body except for the eyes. While lafadz hijab is that it must cover the entire body, including the face, palms, voice and body shape should not be seen.
