Abstract

HIV-AIDS is a sexually transmitted disease whose appearance is like an iceberg phenomenon, namely the number of reported sufferers is much smaller than the actual number of sufferers. The spread of HIV-AIDS is strongly influenced by factors of education, knowledge, attitudes and behavior. The provision of information is expected to increase knowledge and can be done by providing sosializaton to the community, group or individual. This study aims to prove that HIV-AIDS counseling has an effect on the level of knowledge about HIV/AIDS. The design of this study was a pre and post test group, involving 30 students of Pharmacy Vocational School in Sumbawa Regency, which were selected using simple random sampling technique. The mean level of knowledge of students before counseling was 12.03 and after counseling was 17.97. The p-value of the t-test is 0.0001, thus it is interpreted that counseling has an effect on the level of knowledge of students about HIV/AIDS at the Pharmacy Vocational School of Sumbawa Regency. Thus, it is important to increase knowledge and understanding of how to prevent and treat HIV Aids, especially among adolescents through sosialization about HIV Aids.

Adolescence is marked by changes in body development associated with puberty. In this condition, women will experience ovulation and menstruation which is sometimes accompanied by menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea). This condition can get worse when accompanied by unstable psychological conditions, such as stress, depression, excessive anxiety, and excessive sadness or joy. The results showed that before doing yoga exercise there were 46 respondents (61.3%) experiencing menstrual pain on a scale of 3 (more painful), while after yoga exercise there were 30 respondents (40%) experiencing menstrual pain on a scale of 1 (slight pain). Spearman rank statistical test shows that P value= 0,000 α (0,05). So that H1 is accepted, it means that there is an effect of yoga exercise on reducing menstrual pain in adolescent girls at the Mitra Bunda Health Institute, Batam. Suggestions for respondents are expected to get used to doing yoga to reduce menstrual pain so as not to depend on analgesic drugs every menstruation.

Abstract

Psychological problems underlying the fear and anxiety will be embedded in the mother's subconscious mind, becoming negative thoughts. The psychological burden can lead to problems with labor complications, which interfere with the normal process of pregnancy and childbirth. The psychological condition of the mother who is less supportive can cause stress which can cause tense muscles, stiffness, labor pain and hard, inelastic birth canal. Negative thoughts accompanied by pain, will improve the work of the sympathetic nervous system. The hypothalamus sends a signal to the pituitary gland, to reduce the hormone cortisol, which is a stress hormone, so that the autonomic nervous system activates the adrenal glands causing physical tension in pregnant women which causes more pain. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of hypnotherayi on reducing anxiety of pregnant and maternal mothers. This research article reviewed from electronic databases including Science Direct, Google Scholar and other related websites. The number of keywords used included 7 "Hypnotherapy" and "anxiety" From 1484 Publications ranging from 2008 to 2018, the use of the hypnotherapy method to reduce anxiety in pregnant women was presented in English, included in this review. Pregnant women who take hypnotherapy can reduce anxiety, gain peace of mind and instill positive thoughts on the subconscious mind because during the hypnotherapy process the mother experiences deep physical relaxation, focused attention, increased sensory ability, and relaxed control.

Abstract

Human health can be affected by heavy metals in the form of lead which have toxic properties and can accumulate in the body. One of the effects of lead exposure is affecting the hematological system by interfering with heme synthesis, and can shorten the life of red blood cells (erythrocytes) which can cause anemia. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between blood lead levels and the number of erythrocytes in breastfeeding mothers. This research is an analytic study with a cross sectional design. The results of bivariate analysis showed that there was no significant relationship between blood lead levels and the number of erythrocytes (p = 0.195). All respondents living in the Bandarharjo Semarang area had blood Pb levels exceeding the threshold with an average value of 62.24 g/dL.
